Excellent Oolong, smooth and slightly smokey--just what an Oolong should be.
A darker oolong tea from Taiwan, formerly known as Formosa (which means 'Beautiful'). Deep raisiny and ripe fruit aroma, autumn 'leafy' note. The lingering flavor and smooth, refreshingly fruity astringency and a lovely introduction to Taiwanese tea.

Excellent Oolong, smooth and slightly smokey--just what an Oolong should be.
Not bad, didn't really hold up to multiple resteeps and wasn't as interesting as I remember.
Very nice oolong tea. I think I'll be buying a little more of this guy.
Very good oolong. I found it to be somewhat like the regular kind you get at Chinese restaurants, which i've always really liked.
Smooth and mellow are good descriptors for this tea and earthy, but not in an overbearing way. I like it iced and hot and it's become a bit of a go-to oolong for me.
I am not great at describing flavor, the best I can do is that it tastes how autumn smells...if that makes sense. Its sweet with a mineral-like essence and has a sort of autumn leaf smell. This is my go to, every day Oolong as it tastes great and is economical.
A very nice tea. This is the first oolong that I've tried, so I can't compare it to other oolongs, but I can compare it to black teas. If you like black teas but aren't a huge fan of the deep malty flavors of breakfast teas, instead favoring lighter flavors like Darjeelings or Yunnan teas, then this tea will hit the spot. Since it's a heavier oxidized oolong, it will taste more like a black tea than green. The flavor is a really fantastic brown sugar flavor. If you brew it stronger it tastes more spicy and less sweet.
This oolong is not my favorite (I prefer the complexity and sweetness of wuyi), but it is a solid daytime tea.
it's pleasant. but nothing special. i have had better oolong
A very nice tea, good full flavor but not too strong.
This one really surprised me. I was blown away by the flavor.
I was pleasantly surprised to find a strong tea that tastes amazing with a little cream!
So this tea was not what I was expecting. I like it. It has a very earthy or 'stone' taste to it. As my brother out it, it's taste reminds me of dirt a bit but in a good way. I think I may buy this again in the future
I've tried preparing this one a few different ways, but it has yet to really impress me. It's by no means a bad tea, it just seems too one dimensional for an oolong. It might serve well as an introduction to oolongs for those looking to try one for the first time.
This has a strong, Earthy flavor. Very grounded. Unfortunately, not for me.
I love this oolong, and I could drink it every day. Not overly strong, but not weak either. There are nutty and toasty notes but a mild sweet (almost peach) flavor.
This is a complex flavor for a good value, and rebrews itself very well with slight changes in the flavor.
This tea is great it has nice rich classic tastes is well rounded. It has a great full rich flavor and good under tones. I really recommend it!
I enjoy this tea very much. It was new to me and I was pleasantly surprised. I actually really like it when I add a bit of milk to the tea. It is a great tea on a cool day to have as I sit and relax reading a book.
pleasant, but not remarkeable compared to other oolongs available here. I am partial to the dancong aria.
Earthy, but not too strongly so. Kind of reminds me of a lighter pu erh.
This is a pretty tasty oolong overall. It's dark and rich and very leafy/mulchy tasting like someone else mentioned. I do mean that in a good way. It's earthy. I think I prefer some of the lighter oolongs that Adagio carries but this one is good when I want something a little more substantial.
A light, subtle, pleasant cup of tea. Just the kind that would be perfect to relax with while buried in a book.
I tend to go for herbal teas like peppermint, chamomile, blood orange etc but this is a good alternative to the traditional black tea - not too harsh, not too bitter. A very smooth, pleasant, mellow favor.
Really smooth and velvety. I love this first thing in the morning. Great tea.
I'm honestly not sure how to describe this one, but I like it. I really do. I have some orange blossom honey that was sent to me by my mother-in-law, and a bit of that in this tea is lovely. I think this might be the first not-flavored tea that I've tried that I really liked. Good job, formosa oolong!
I live in a house full of non-tea drinkers and everyone keeps stealing this one because it's so good.
This tea is similar to a black tea's briskness but an oolong taste profile. Not my favorite but definitely worth buying now and then.
Taste is unique. I like it, but it's a bit of an acquired taste I think.
This is a fantastic oolong, smooth and warming. It is good both hot and iced, and is very comforting if you are not feeling well.
Rich, bold aroma and flavor. Full-bodied and mineraly-feeling in the mouth, without being overpowering, characteristic of oolongs. Pleasant, almost fruity astringency. Smooth finish. Really tasty overall, and becoming one of my favorite oolongs.
I haven't tried many oolong teas, so I don't have a lot to compare with this tea. However, I do prefer the oolongs that taste more like black tea than green. This one is very nice: full-bodied without being too heavy, and a pleasant sweetness to it, almost fruity. Very drinkable, and makes a good afternoon pick-me-up!
It's not my favorite oolong, but it's not bad. Don't oversteep it as it does better when you follow the instructions.
OMG I am in love with this fabulous tea. I plan on making it my #1
Oolong is quickly becoming my favorite kind of tea.
I lived in Taiwan for one year, and being the tea-lover that I am, I have had many Taiwanese oolong teas. This stuff is the real deal. I am so happy to find it at such an affordable price. Thank you, Adagio!
The best for casual tea. Fits perfectly in my reusable tea bag and good for two brews.
Formosa oolong has a good lite taste, it's enjoyable.
This is a basic roasted oolong. I find it lacks depth and complexity but is otherwise decent.
Very earthy, leafy taste. Others have compared it to mulch and I agree. Not unpleasant, but not what I look for in a tea.
A very nice flavor. Maybe not as 'green' as some other oolongs, but definitely something worth trying.
This tea had a very bland taste to it, it tasted like I was just steeping leaves of some random plant, nothing like any other tea on Adagio I've had so far.
I love nearly all oolongs, but this one stood out as being particularly floral and sweet. Did I detect a hint of honeysuckle? So happy!
Extreme earthy flavor and smell, but the smell gets gentler as it cools down. This tea gives an overall representation of oolong, so it might be a good choice for people who are about to start with oolong tea. For people who are looking for a fun tea, this is not the best choice since it has no unique aroma, I recommend you to pick the sweet-buttery-creamy pouchong
Is a pleasant tea that but nothing particularly outstanding about it.
The more oolong I try, the more I love them. I should have gotten a 3oz bag of this in stead of a sample.
Nice mellow oolong. Great flavor, even after a second brewing of same leaves.
Has a nice toasty flavor. Leaves can be brewed several times without getting bitter. Just use a little less water each time. A nice everyday tea that's not too expensive.
Fairly generic taste but definitely a bang-for-buck oolong. Tastes kind of mulchy and roasted.
A very nice easy-drinking tea. A bit of smokiness, but smooth. I like drinking this tea in the late morning or early afternoon with just a little bit of milk.
