This tea was absolutely delicious and is a must try! It is so smooth and very floral in taste. I will absolutely be ordering this tea to drink more in the future. I ordered a box for my sister in law for Christmas and she loved it as well!
Taiwanese pouchong is the most lightly oxidized of all oolongs. Inviting sugary-floral nose from the emerald leaves, yielding pale golden liquor with a soft, melting butter texture. Uplifting honeysuckle aroma lingers on long after the last sip.

Really impressed by the smooth floral taste of this blend. Such a lush mouthfeel, perfect everyday luxury.
I thought I was going to love this tea, but I think I may have just psyched myself up and it couldn't live up to the hype. It is a good tea. I just think there are other oolongs I like more and that have a more buttery texture. I like the floral notes here, but they sort of hit like jasmines less flavorful cousin to me. Again this is still a good tea and I would be happy to drink it if offered, but I just think other teas will be in the spot in my stash for the flavors this one touches on. One thing I noticed with all unflavored oolongs is I always love the 2nd steep more and this one maintains that thought. I do not so a rinse, but maybe I should try it sometime to see what results it yields. 195° 3 min and then 4 min on 2nd steep
This is a nice light tea that seems made for sipping while in a contemplative mood. I don't detect much aroma but I am beginning to understand what they mean when a tea is described as buttery.
this a nice baseline oolong, smooth, buttery, fragrant, just a tinge of astringent... I could sip this all day long!
It was very floral forward I did enjoy it. The scent was a bit off putting but once I adjusted to the smell it was enjoyable.
It has a nice earthy smell when you open it. It has a nice light floral oolong taste.
Very soothing and complex. There are a lot of subtle notes throughout the overall smoky-green flavor.
CommuniTEA sample, 3 min @ 195 F. Very sweet, floral aroma, very lovely, golden color. I think my favorite part of it was the texture, it felt very much like that buttery description. Very smooth, rich, not quite a heavy body, but you could tell that it has some weight to it. I feel like the flavor was very mild, and a little bit more on the bitter side than I was hoping for, but there was a hint of some floral flavor in there.
This was an excellent cup! I feel like it didn’t need anything to sweeten it with, and I usually find myself adding a half to a full teaspoon of honey. It was just a lovely light amber tea with a hint of floral to give it a little flavor boost without being overwhelming.
The unique fragrance and flavor of this tea has caused me to put this into the regular rotation of oolong teas that I like to drink in the afternoon.
I usually like flavored teas but I liked this one. I did add some sugar as I do most teas and it was great
This was ok. Not very flavorful, I think it was just not my style but it did seem authentic
Extremely tasty. Exceeded my expectations. What a pleasant surprise! Although it is quite pricey comparing to other teas, Formosa Pouching is definitely worth to try. I found this to be a great option to serve for afternoon tea pairing with almost all kinds of pastries and finger sandwiches.
Color me surprised! I'm not a big fan of greenish oolongs, I look askance at teas that come out too light in color. But this...
Light, delicate, not at all astringent. Even the scent is delicately floral in a way I can't quite describe. I don't know if I'd purchase this myself, but I'd definitely drink it if someone gave it to me!
A good tea today. I liked the smooth flavor of the tea.
Brewed in my new gaiwan for the first time, 2 min for the first steep and 3 for a second. The words that come to mind are smooth, floral, and clean. It's very refreshing and I'm really glad I had the chance to try it. Now to clean up my mess, I need practice pouring and a better strainer...
Wonderful aroma with smooth taste. This is an exquisite tea. I have ordered more!
What a wonderful tea. The description does not lie, this is a very aromatic tea with a wonderful fragrance. I love an leafy earthy tasting tea, there is something about sipping from a fresh brewed cup of Oolong that brings to mind the imagery of walking under full leaf trees in late spring. It's wonderful, refreshing, and peaceful. I may be making a larger purchase of this tea in the future.
This is such a nice tea! I'll repeat what others have said, light, buttery, smooth, floral, sweet. As far as taste, it tastes almost like a lighter jasmine, only there's no actual jasmine in it (so if you didn't like jasmine, it might be worth a try because it's not literal jasmine). Oolong really is it's own beast...not grassy or vegetal like some greens, not as light as white, but doesn't have the strength or bite of a black. This is a particularly good oolong, give it a go!
This is such a gentle oolong, with soft floral notes.
Elegant, floral, smooth and absolutely delightful! I haven’t tried the second steeping yet, but I’m excited to!
Adagio introduced me to Pouchong tea and as usual I love the delicacy, and ‘buttery’ floral aftertaste - I’ve had ones I liked better this might be a tad too delicate for me
A smooth, light tea. It's softly floral and mildly buttery. I was able to steep the leaves multiple times for additional tasty cups.
Smells floral and jasmine-like. Smooth and bright tasting. A delightful oolong variety.
This makes a good, flavorful cup. It's delicate but it's not a weak flavor. For context, I usually like the 'mineral' oolongs like Fujian Rain on here
It's okay, can't really find a whole lot to say about it.
this tea smells so ridiculously good that its above average flavor is a little disappointing, if that makes sense.
I liked the nice fruit flavors in this tea and even detected a hint of pine. It improved as it cooled. Let it linger on the palate as it does. One teaspoon, however, made only one eight-ounce cup.
This is one of my favorite Oolongs. It's absolutely delicious. Mild, earthy, and a hint of what I would describe as honeysuckle. I would recommend Oolong lovers to at least try a sample. I think you will be satisfied.
I have purchased many different teas from Adagio and this one is my absolute favorite for when I want a great taste but not as much of a wake up as I would a black tea. I am not a connoisseur by any means but sure like this tea.
Formosa Pouchong good enough but overpriced I think
tried this in the communitea box and had to get some more. easily my most favorite oolong i've tried
This was a delicious tea! It was only the slightest floral taste to me with an earthy yet vegetal savory taste to it.
Great tea, smells so good, not to vegetal has nice floral taste, very yummy.
This smells lightly floral and has a vegetal taste. Neither of these appeal to me, but for someone who enjoys that what a splendid tea!
I like green Oolong and this one is really good. 2 min @ 165. Liquor is a clear pale green. Light floral taste. 2nd steep has more color and flavor, soft mouth feel. I could keep steeping this or even cold brew it overnight.
A nice golden amber color that had a smooth oolong flavor. I brewed twice and both were very good. 190 for 3 min. CT 12/24/2023
Light, and nicely mellow, with just a bit of vegetal herbiness. It's not a particularly complex flavor, and I think I would be a bit bored drinking this every day, but I quite enjoyed it as a CommuniTea sample this morning.
I was not feeling this one today, despite the fact that it’s a fabulous oolong. It was too green for me so I passed it on to my daughter, who enjoyed it very much. She was able to get two more good steeps from it. (180° for 1.5, 2, 3 minutes.)
A good tea little sweet with floral and saltiness, very satisfying tea to drink.
This Formosa Pouchong is a beautiful Green/Gold! Aromatic and magickal!!
A lovely toasty tea! Delicate flavor, and well rounded! A nice treat!
Very light flavor butterinessI sampled this tea as part of the CommuniTea December 2023 box.
I adore oolong teas and this has a different, yet refreshing taste. I enjoyed this tea and I can see myself having this again in the future.
I love a good Oolong and today's tea was one of them. Enjoyed it very much.
Good quality nice light tea, slightly floral and sweet, can't say I'm as gaga over this as some are, but it really has no faults, Nice Christmas Eve sip
Smooth oolong tea. I enjoyed the floral notes. Beautiful pale color. I added honey.
This oolong is a pretty greenish yellow color with a touch of fruit and floral in the taste.
A most excellent oolong. Both flowery and smooth.
