Maybe some people like it but definitely not me. Only two stars from me

A very balanced cup, not too herby or bitter and lightly fruity. It’s currently my go-to tea.

Maybe it was the way I brewed it, but I wasn't getting all that much blackberry flavor. It's nice, but maybe not entirely for me.

Blackberry Sage Oolong is a medium oolong tea that will tantalize you with its fruity, herbal, and sweet aroma. The dry leaves have a purple and green color and a fragrant and inviting smell that reminds you of a summer garden. The brewed tea has a smooth and refreshing taste, with a tangy flavor and notes of berry, sage, and honey. This blend will stimulate you and delight you in equal measure.

This one was good but not great. I was hoping to have a more forward sage and blackberry taste. I am anxious to try this one chilled!

You really taste the sage, which I was worried you wouldn't. Nice tea for drinking outside on a cold morning.

This tea is very unique. The aroma is inviting. The taste has the sweetness of blackberry along with the savory sage. I enjoyed it very much.

This tea tastes exactly as it is named - both the blackberry and the sage are present and balanced beautifully. I was worried the sage might be too strong because it was quite noticeable when opening the pack, but the flavor is more muted when steeped.

Fun tea, the taste is as you expect for a Blackberry Oolong with the sage being the most interesting part. The sage is fairly subtle but once you pick it out it does add some depth to the tea. I quite enjoyed it.

Nice and subtle. A lovely black enhanced through the addition of blackberry and sage. As with all blacks ensure proper brew time

The flavours are surprisingly delicate, the blackberry seems to come slightly more forward than the sage. Certainly an approachable tea for newer entrants to the world of subtler teas.

Very tasty. I like this one.may get more than a sample once the sample is gone.

My review here is a bit biased. Generally, berry-flavored oolong or black teas are a miss for me. The sage was a positive surprise though.

★★★★★

(Made at 95C for 5 minutes) - It's a very nice and tasty tea, I liked it. I think it's great and I might buy more in the future!

★★★☆☆

I had high hopes for this tea, but the fruit flavor just wasn't strong enough for me. As it cooled the blackberry came out a bit more and it was better, but I think the sage was just overall too much for it.

i almost always have sage with blackberries- drink or otherwise- so this was just a better blackberry tea for me than the sage-less black version. the herbal notes add complexity to the berry flavor, especially when combined with honey.

This smells delicious, the aroma definitely gives a nice blackberry and sage aroma. The flavor gives a light blackberry and definitely sage, I added a tiny bit of sugar to brighten the blackberry. I would to try this with a little splash of Chambord.

Not sure what I expected. I love blackberries. Not disappointed. I loved as an ice tea. A good mid day tea.

Not too fruity. Full bodied. Not too strong. Very good.

Good, but nothing amazing. I'm writing this review a few weeks after drinking the tea and I don't remember anything remarkable, but I remember it was a good cup of tea!

This is a very good tea. The only reason I’m giving it three stars is because I was hoping for more sage and less blackberry. It is still a great cup and would do well on a cool October morning.

This my favorite oolong flavor. I really love the taste!

The earthiness of the sage is so grounding with the blackberry and I've been loving it even more than I expected.

I fell in love with this one in my advent calendar, so I bought a package for regular sipping. I love how sweet the blackberries are, especially with the oolong base. The sage isn't a disruptive flavour at all, so I believe what Adagio says about it being used to bring out the fruity flavours of the other components.

Decent flavor definitely a iced tea option. Would recommend a smaller size for starters

Excellent tea. good with either a dash of sugar and milk as well Still excellent on it's own. Used a 1/4 tsp sugar and a splash of milk, helped cut down on the sage. Goes on my reorder list.

I agree with the reviews about it being a nice savory tea. Not like, lamb chop savory, just a unique flavor to mix things up. Very balanced. Can’t wait to try it iced!

★★★★★

I was skeptical of the sage in this blend, but, it totally works! It beautifully compliments the blackberry resulting in quite the delicious cup of tea.

I liked todays tea; the smoothness of the oolong and the boldness of the blackberry went well together.

The sage was interesting, more on the weird side, I sipped it, sort of enjoyed it, finished it, and won't sip it again until it's a CT portion once again. The blackberry in the background was its only saving grace.

Nice smooth tea. I've never had sage in tea so was an unexpected first sip. Really enjoyed this tea and had a second brew.

Update - 5/8/23 CT - this tea still has more sage in it than I really like. I guess this is juts not one that is really for me.
This tea wasn’t bad the sage just overpowered it for me. I tried a resteep with adding a large blackberry and then crushing it for move flavor but the sage was still from and center. This may have been due to the CT packet mix but not one I’m adding to my list.

This was a well balanced tea of sage and blackberry with a nice base of oolong. I liked how the flavors didn't overpower the taste of the oolong but at the same time would have loved for it to be a bit stronger in flavor particularly the berry flavor. I brewed mine hot and added sweetner. I would love to see how this one is cold brewed.

Light on the blackberry flavour, though it's still a good tea to try if you enjoy sage and oolong overall.

May 8th, 2023 CommuniTEA update - I'm enjoying it this time around a lot more than I did the first. Brewed at 190°F for 4 minutes and added a little dark agave.
The blackberry was still mild, but noted lightly around the bottom of the tongue and was sort of a sticky, dark-sweet taste note. Really pleasant. The sage was still the star of the show and I came to enjoy it a lot more - it had an aromatic mouthfeel, which I'm not sure how to describe. Mentally, it brings up that tree shaped car air freshener, right? Just that sort of strong smell - but it's not at all unpleasant, because sage is a powerful relative and holds a lot of power, and so in this tea, they're definitely at the head of the table. It's kinda like that, if it even makes any sense - just a flavour that makes you sit up a little straighter. It really comes most into notice in the back of the tongue/throat area, I think. I definitely wouldn't call it floral, as that's not a flavour I enjoy, but it's like a grounded, earthier citrus, maybe?
Made it into a latte with oat milk and it held onto its flavours exceptionally well. The sage softened, and the blackberry became a little more announced. Definitely worth a try.

Such a great combo. The earthy tones of sage par well with the fruity notes of blackberry.

had some nice earthy notes from the sage, but I felt it was a little over powered by the raspberry.

Tried as a CommuniTEA sample. I had this cold, with and without sweetener and it was good both ways. I liked the blackberry flavor quite a lot and the fact that it wasn't bitter. However, I tasted a slight earthiness that I didn't care for. I think it was from the sage.

this was just too weird for me. Blackberry & sage on chicken =mmm. In a tea I didn't love it.

I love the combination of the fruit favor and the earthy sage. The smell from the package is so complex. Once brewed, you can clearly smell the sage and taste the hint of blackberry.

The blackberry sage oolong blend is one that I hope to always have on hand in my tea stash. It is delicious anyway it is brewed, the unique savory sweet flavors are a refreshing combination that I crave to sip.

This is definitely a different taste than I was expecting. I love Adagio’s blackberry tea so I was anticipating loving this one as well. I have to say I like it but don’t love it. I intend to cold brew it and see if that improves the taste for me.

Lovely tea. The blackberry flavor is sweet and the sage it earthy. I prefer this as an iced tea, because it keeps the sage from stealing the show. Great with a little sweetener.

When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I was met with fruity aromas of blackberries with a hint of herbaceous sage. I steeped the tea for 3 minutes. The flavor of the tea is very sage forward, but the notes of blackberry come out more as the tea cools. It is a very calming and delicious tea!

I enjoyed this tea! Perhaps a bit too strong on the sage for me--I would have liked more blackberry--but overall a pleasant cup (if you like sage!). Steeped for 5 minutes at 100 degrees Celcius.

This is so unique! Never would have thought to pair sage with blackberry, but when I sampled it with CommuniTEA it quickly won me over and I found myself adding it to my cart. No regrets! Steeped 3 mins @ 200°
