I bought a pound of this without sampling it first--could've ended up being a big mistake, but definitely worthwhile. The smell of the tea in the bag is a little off-putting, too sweet smelling. But as it steeps, the nutty smell really emerges, and it tastes nutty and delicious as well, with a sweet aftertaste even without any milk or sugar added.

A nice light tea with a hint of almond - very soothing. I received this one as a free sample and really enjoy it - thanks Adagio!

A nice warm nutty flavor. Definitely a tea worth buying.

This is my absolute go-to tea! It is fabulous both hot and iced, heavy emphasis on the iced! The oolong is mellow to begin with, but the addition of almond makes it so smooth and almost creamy tasting.

Pretty unimpressive as a whole. It doesn't taste bad, just very artificial. It smells the same as most scented almond bath products - fake.

Smells just like almonds should right out of the bag. After steeping, it doesn't really have much a strong almond flavor but the tea works out really well. Delicious

Wow, my batch had a ton of almond flavoring in it! Very good, but almost too much. I'll blend it with other teas to cut down on the taste.

The strong flavor of the oolong takes away the wonderful almond flavor. If you like almond go for the almond black tea and you will stick with it!

This is only my second oolong and I am really enjoying the nuttiness. Unfortunately it was only a sample and I won't be able to order more. I appreciate oolongs in the morning as they really seem to deliver more caffeine.

I really liked this tea, which surprised me because I'm always hesitant to try nutty flavors. But this one was great!

If I hadn't known that this was almond, and someone set a pre-brewed cup in front of me, I would say this smells and tastes exactly like oatmeal (which I view as a good thing, as I personally enjoy more earthy flavors). I was surprised, and confounded, but it IS delicious. The flavor of almond is subtle, and seemed to come out more as the tea cooled down. The dry tea smells very much like marzipan, if not a bit artificial. Mildly sweet and very hardy, I thought--an excellent oolong!

Delicious! Previously ordered a sample, now I can't wait for the fuller-sized bag to arrive. Looking forward to when the tea bags come back into stock.

Tried my first cup this morning and I love this tea. When I opened the package it smelled familiar but could not quite place the aroma. I added a little Blue agave amber and the tea tasted like an almond cookie you get from the Chinese take out. Will reorder this one.

I love this tea and it definantly has a nutty flavor but not specifically almond.

I regret not ordering this sooner

Good tea! The almond in the tea is subtle after brewing

This was absolutely spectacular. I'm not always a fan of oolong because they tend to be bitter. The last thing this is is bitter!! I'm only sad I purchased a sample and not a crate of this lovely amaretto tasting tea.

This was my first time trying an almond tea. I have to say I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was like 'drinking' a warm fresh baked almond cookie right out of the oven. It was absolutely delicious. It has just become one of my new favorites.
★★★★☆
I think I might have over-brewed it for my personal taste, but you can definitely taste the almond flavor. Going to try brewing it at a shorter time, and hopefully I will get it to my taste!

Now I want marzipan!! I don't even want to make anything out of it, I just wanna eat it. Good tea, nice flavor. My first oolong and a pleasing introduction to it. Would get it again.

Phenomenal! First time with Oolong teas, but it was so wonderful. It really doesn't smell good in the bag, in my opinion it kinda smells like rubber, but the taste is brilliant. Will definitely be buying more when I run out!

I love oolong, and I like almonds. But, they don't seem to make a good combination in tea. It tasted a little artificial, even berry-like. Not horrendous, but I wouldn't recommend it at all.

A really smooth and lovely tea, nice on it's own, and even smoother with a little almond milk and honey. Also nice when steeped with German rock sugar. The smell is just as nice as the taste, and it's very soothing and calming.

I very much enjoyed my first cup of this tea. The almond flavor is subtle.

This is an interesting tea - great almond nose, but less so flavor-wise in the cup. I enjoy it with a dash (70% almond/30% cherry) of the dewy cherry herbal tea from Adagio - it's a nice sweet blend without being overly fruity. It's a really good tea for layering flavors like that.

This tea is fantastic. I was a little skeptical when purchasing it, afeared that it was going to be very toasty and dark tasting. Upon receiving the tea, I discovered that its almond-extract scent is almost overpowering. (Admittedly, that's not much of an issue for me because I adore the smell, but I can understand that others might find it too sweet.)
In terms of taste, however, it's incredibly well-balanced, with a sweet taste at first that blends well into the toasty aftertaste. This is, by far, my favorite Adagio tea thus far.
★★★★★
This tea exceeded my expectations! It was very balanced in flavor. Soothing smells of almond. A very calming cup of tea. it was mild and very aromatic but not over powering.

Very good, nice smooth flavor. I love oolongs and this is a great combination.

This tea is just so wonderful in so many ways.. the smell is like being in a kitchen full of almond cookies, the taste is that of a smooth light wave that just wraps around your mouth and makes you feel warm n fuzzy :]
★★★★★
This is handsdown one of my favorite flavored oolongs. The almond flavor compliments the oolong quite nicely.
★★★★★
Especially when fresh, this is lovely, with a strong almond flavor that turns the tea into a dessert experience.
★★★★☆
Nice enough. The almond flavor is quite strong, but mostly as an aroma, rather than an actual taste. I've been drinking it without cream or sugar, but I think cream and sugar would be good in it.

This tea was not what I expected. The almond flavor is incredibly fruity, almost like cherries. I liked it but I didn't love it.

There's something I just can't quite put my finger on that makes this tea truly great. The smell upon opening the package is heavenly and the flavor the same. Would definitely recommend.

I enjoy many Oolong teas, and with this one I found the after taste very enjoyable. More than the flavor of the tea while acutally drinking it. I am still up in the air about reordering it or not.

When I first opened it I didn't think I was going to like it. It smelled a lot like pipe smoking tobacco and a very sweet one. I wasn't even going to try it, but i tried it anyway and it was okay. I would suggest adding a splack of milk or cream that's what did it for me.

I was pleasantly surprised by this. I wasn't very fond of the smell when I opened the package, but it turned out to be a relaxing, mellow cup of tea. The almond is strong, but not overpowering.
★★★★☆
It isn't as almondy as I was expecting. Still it tastes like it can go well with some cream, which I will try next time I make this. I only used sugar.
★★★★☆
The smell is very strong before you brew it, but the taste is not as strong. It takes a few seconds to get used to it, but the taste and smell complement each other. Definitely nice for a cold day.
★★☆☆☆
Eek. Very strong aroma from pouch. Brewed less aroma. Very 'fake' almond taste.

This is a great flavored tea. The almond is not overpowering, and if you add a tiny bit of sweetener (honey for me), this is a mildly sweetish almond tea. Great!

The almond flavor is not as pronounced as I expected, but a nice, light oolong with naturally sweet taste. I imagine it would taste delicious iced, and plan to try this in the summer!

This tea is nicely paired with anything containing nuts. Even when steeped for a very short time, it can be fairly strong in taste, so pairing it with other strong tastes works well.

I had really, really high hopes for this tea. I love Oolong, and anything with almond is high on my list. That said, this tea did disappoint me a little bit. While it was good, it wasn't as amazing as I had hoped. It smells more like almond than it tastes, and the almond flavor that does come through has kind of a woody aftertaste, I suppose from the Oolong's smokiness. HOWEVER, if you want a change from your basic Oolong, this tea is pretty good, and will vary your routine.

I love marzipan so I was excited to try this tea. It's amazing - exactly what I had hoped for!

I kept brewing this, trying to figure out why it just didn't 'wow' me like I thought it would. I love almonds but could only like this.

Even 'natural' almond flavor can sometimes taste a little chemically, but this tea does not. Other reviewers have mentioned that the almond is subtle, and I agree, but I consider that to be a plus. Physiologically, most of what we think of as taste is actually smell
