This is a wonderful alternative to the matcha sticks. The black tea is robust and flavorful, making it super easy to use, especially when you're on the go. The finely ground powder mixes nicely in water or milk and once shaken up, there aren't any clumps.

This was an acquired taste, it can be bitter if not dissolved all the way but after trying it a few more times it is one of my favorites! It has a good amount of caffeine which is the best part of the tea.

I ordered it because I thought I could make milk tea quickly and simply when I was lazy or busy.
I Dissolve the matcha stick with 1 to 2 tbsp hot water, and pour 200 ml of milk and added sugar... it works great!
If you love milk tea but find it a hassle to make it, I'm sure these matcha sticks will be a great alternative.
Of all the matcha sticks, these were the least impressive by far. I was excited by the concept of a black tea matcha, but the result tastes more like a cup of instant Lipton iced tea. I’m sure Adagio used a much higher grade of tea than that, but the flavor has that burnt and bitter quality I associate with instant coffee, just with a tea flavor instead. Would not recommend this to anyone.
I love the Matcha sticks to make iced tea on the go. This tastes pretty close to fresh brewed and is so much better than bottled!
When I originally read the description, I thought it was normal matcha blended with black tea. I misunderstood completely - this is powdered Black Tea. I've never had a powdered version, only full leaf and I still enjoyed it a lot - just wasn't what I was expecting initially. For this tea, I don't feel like you need 500 mL of water as recommended. It was perfectly good with 250 mL (1 cup) of water. I wasn't expecting to like this tea powdered but I do. It's very convenient. I particularly like to put this tea in my frother with milk and a little bit of vanilla and poof! You have a London Fog. Delicious!

Super convenient and easy way to have cold plain black tea, one I reach for on days I need that level of caffeine and no time to brew anything.
A little gritty but the flavor is quite good and the convenience is very nice.
I bought these because I was curious about them. I seemed to have a little trouble getting the powder to fully dissolve, since it seemed like it would settle at the bottom now and then so I had to mix it up again. It tastes fine, but for some reason I was expecting it to be sweeter like most iced tea mixes I've had. I'm not sure why and I probably shouldn't have, but that made these just OK for me. There's certainly nothing wrong with them, but I don't think they're really my thing. Worth trying though.
These matcha sticks are an easy,convenient way to enjoy your matcha!! I enjoyed the flavor of the black matcha, it isn't bitter. One thing I have figured out is this - if your matcha is too strong, keep adding water to it and you will get to the point where the flavor balances out and is perfect.
Easiest latte I've ever made. Added one stick of tea to 2 cups (500ml) cold oat milk and blended using my hand-held milk frother, then added a splash of vanilla syrup for sweetness. Pour over ice and enjoy.
I love the fact that this comes in black tea! These are great for when you're in a hurry or on the go. The powder doesn't always dissolve completely, but it's still great to have.

I purchased this out of curiosity and this was not something I enjoyed. I generally am not a fan of matcha anyhow, but I do love black tea usually. This was very bitter.

I was already excited to try this, and the flavor didn’t disappoint. I can make an excellent mock-latte with these sticks! I wish it were sold in a canister, though - I would certainly be drinking this every day!
I could drink this every day (and sometimes I do). It's great as a sort of coffee substitute; not that it tastes like coffee (it doesn't) but it's rich and strong and delicious but neutral enough that I don't get tired of it. Honestly, if I could only buy one tea from Adagio from now on, it would probably be the black matcha.

These sticks are fantastic! I use them like instant coffee-- boil water, mix the powder with stevia and top with almond milk creamer. They're great for when you want something strong, but not as strong as coffee, and don't want to make a whole pot or wait for tea to steep. This isn't matcha, but rather concentrated and powdered black tea. It doesn't have the same coppery taste that a properly steeped basic black tea would have, but it's still delicious and helps kickstart your day.
Easy, tasty, Golden Monkey tea. My daughter loves it and uses it to make iced lattes.
The cheapest version of this I've found. Black matcha definitely hits alot harder though that other matcha teas, so be careful if your sensitive to caffeine!!

Nice alternative to traditional matcha. Has a nice bit of earthiness and whisks up with a nice head of clay colored foam. Wife enjoys it more than traditional due to the lack of green grassy flavor.

Added the packet to a bottle of water and shaked it throughly. Was a little nervous when i smelled it before drinking but after taking a sip the powder mixed well and tasted like a delicious black tea. Bf added some sugar to his which also had a nice flavor. Will be using these for work since im too lazy in the morning to get up and steep tea. Highly recommend to black tea lovers. Please dont fear the word matcha on the package doesnt taste like traditional green tea matcha but just black tea.
These are strong, but quite good! There is no actual matcha green tea in these, but instead is black tea ground like matcha.

I had these in the sample pack and I love golden monkey and I thought these were delicious! They are not sweet, but I love the earthy flavor nonetheless.
Absolutely love the flavor of these and the portability. Unfortunately, I work with someone who chews, so in a clear waterbottle... the color tends to look like a spit cup which is... unfortunate.
I've been using these with a touch of sugar and milk to create iced tea lattes. I love that it gives me something a bit different, and the sleeves make measuring just the right amount that easy.
It s different but delicious! Out of all the sticks, black was my favorite. Earthy and deep. Makes your water bottle so much better.
I have to admit, this is not my favorite, but it is a great matcha. If you decided to mix this matcha in a water bottle with no additional items added to it, shake it well. It does not mix well.
