Only the finest, young, shade-grown gyokuro tea leaves are used to create matcha. The leaves are plucked and laid out flat to dry. Veins are removed and the leaves, now called tencha, are carefully ground in granite mills until they become the precious powder.

I was really wanting to like this flavored matcha. I've been drinking matcha now for nearly a year and I've tried other companies flavored matcha. I've never tasted anything as nasty as this one. I usually love anything apple flavored when it comes to teas, but I will not be buying this one again. I'm hoping I'm not disappointed in the other flavored matcha samples that I've bought. Otherwise, I'll be going back to my other companies for flavored matcha.
