I have no idea what made me buy this tea. It was a total impulse buy. I adore matcha, but the idea of chocolate matcha never sounded good to me. Then, this arrived. I hesitate to say that this tea is magical, but it is. I had been struggling with a several day-long migraine. And I frothed up a bowl of this matcha chocolate. Not only is it delicious, but honestly, within an hour, the headache was gone. We did use a tiny bit of sugar. I m thinking about mixing it up with some coconut milk one day, too, for a chocolate matcha latte. Amazing tea.

I mainly use the matcha in smoothies and lattes in the morning for a morning pick me up. I absolutely love this. Adds a nice subtle coffee flavor to my lattes.

It wasn't quite as chocolatey as I had hoped, but this Matcha is definitely good for making things like shakes and smoothies if you add in other ingredients!

The aroma of dark chocolate with matcha makes me shiver in joy. This was an excellent idea.

I have become addicted to Matcha and the flavored Matcha's make for great drinks. Honeybush chocolate tea and Cocomint Green are recommendations I received from the store to make with Matcha and both are winners.

This matcha is super delicious! It didn't seem brown at all so I wasn't sure that the chocolate flavor would be present enough, but it is definitely there! The flavors are perfectly blended together and it's great with just a bit of milk.

Awesome!!! The cocoa flavor is light so it doesn't overpower the matcha, but strong enough to taste it in every sip.

Somehow I expected a chocolate flavor. It seems the addition of chocolate toned down the powerful Matcha flavor one is used to tasting. I guess for me, I was hoping it tasted like the chocolate covered 'greens' bar from Whole Foods.

Love this! I don't have the traditional tools, but I used a regular whisk and it worked just fine. Love that hint of chocolate~

This is a great dessert tea! If you love Matcha and chocolate, this is the perfect ending to your dinner. I used a battery froth maker to make this tea.

Lovely with a bit of milk, makes a great alternative to hot cocoa

I found that it tasted rather like spinach at full strength, but it s quite nice at about half strength! The chocolate flavor is not too powerful, doesn t overshadow the green tea flavor. I really like the ease of preparation.

While I still prefer traditional ceremonial grade matcha, the hint of chocolate that is in this makes it much easier to drink, particularly for those occasions that I forget to have the correct water temp for brewing.

A perfect addition to my morning protein/fruit shakes. It s not overly chocolatey and has just the right amount. I thought the tea would look brown but it s green. The tin is a great way to store this matcha, but be careful opening it the first few times until you get the hang of it (otherwise you might spill a drop). I have yet to actually use this as a hot matcha tea, but I will at some point.

Not bad, but I didn't get any of the chocolate character sadly. I'll try again with some honey to see if it can be brought out.

I like the matcha from adagio, in general, but I just didn't taste the chocolate. I was expecting more of a cup of hot cocoa level of chocolate and maybe that was never adagio's goal, so I was a bit disappointed.

You can't go wrong with any of the Matchas here, especially this one if you're a chocolate fan. It's clear Adagio has high standards and high-quality taste.

Chocolate and matcha seemed like an odd combination, but I wanted to try it out. It is indeed odd. Not terrible, just not - sorry for this - not my cup of tea.

I like this significantly better than the regular matcha (I am new to it and need a little something to make it less vegetal!)...going to try it in an iced version soon, but already love it with warm milk too. Beautiful bright green color. Looking forward to trying other flavors.

This is fantastic! Not much chocolate flavor, but its in the smell. I got an electric whisk which made it foam up very nice.

I was skeptical because I am not a big fan of chocolate but I love the mild flavor of the green tea with just the right amount of chocolate.

Sorry but this is not my cup of tea. I couldn't even finish drinking it but I do prefer black teas so I thought if I had chocolate mixed with the Matcha tea, that it would help . . . and it didn't.

This was good--but I could not detect the chocolate flavor. I'd probably just buy regular matcha instead.

I am a Matcha 'newbie.' I have enjoyed the flavor at coffee shops and in foods, so I wanted to try it on my own. This matcha has a great flavor (although I don't get any 'chocolate' taste) that isn't too bitter and blends well. My biggest concern with this item (3oz size) was that the powder comes in a reseable pouch (not canister as shown) and it got everywhere when I opened it. Because the matcha was in the seams of the reseable pouch, I couldn't close it completely. I ended up putting the whole package into another baggie. Would buy the canister if ordering again.

This is amazing as a latte! I wish I had enough money to buy a full pound of this!

Definitely smells more like cocoa than it tastes. I do get a hint of chocolate in the aftertaste, but upfront this just tastes like plain (good) Matcha. I wish the flavor was a little more pronounced, but I knew what I was getting into.

I love the matcha green tea but this has a nice right chocolate ARPA. Light chocolate taste.

I had never had matcha tea before. After two cups from my sample package, I have ordered more. It is delicious and has the flavor of chocolate.

Tastes good and stays green. I still prefer their regular matcha.

This is a fabulous tea. I love the chocolate taste and its perfectly sweet with a little sugar. Its a perfect pick me up tea without crashing!!!

Okay, I love this tea because I just love Adagio's matcha in general, so no regrets here...but I have to be honest and confess that I can't taste the chocolate at all, no matter how I prepare it. I can't even really smell it when I open the bag in the way other reviewers have described. It may just be the batch I got, though, so if I try it again and have a different experience I will update this review.

Chocolate flavor isn't strong. It's more of an aromatic. but the tea has a bright freshness that's refreshing and perfect for a col morning.

I liked this flavor matcha and will definitely be finishing up the sample. However, I feel I can achieve the same results if I added my own cocoa to plain matcha.

This tea is amazing! I have never had matcha tea before, but love chocolate so thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did!!

I admit I love chocolate anything. and this matcha did not disappoint! I drink 2-3 cups a day. I'm sleeping better.I have a dance of well being that lasts thru out the day. I put my matcha in a bowl hear the water just below boiling , wisk my matcha up to a nice foam and dip away!! ah... what bliss. I have given 14 sample pacs to my friends. I think I should start a ' matcha club!

This tea has matcha flavor with a slight hint of chocolate. This actually makes a good iced drink when sweetened. If you like making ice cream or cookies with matcha, this one is really good for that. This is also good for latte styled drinks.

Not my favorite. It gives a little aftertaste. But if you add almond milk then it's good.

I like matcha but for me mixing matcha and chocolate was a mistake. I am still drinking it but I find I have to add a lot of honey and lemon to get myself to drink it. I think I will be trying the raspberry one soon and I will drink the chocolate one but it's not my first choice.

Very nice - I thought it would be darker in color but still is very green with a slight chocolate flavor. I added a bit of chocolate of my own to enhance it.

Good Matcha taste, and the chocolate can be smelled from the powder, but have not yet been able to get the taste of Chocolate from the Matcha. I've heard adding sweetener helps, but have not yet tried it.

This is becoming my 'FAVORITE' Tea to drink in the evening when I am hungry for 'chocolate'. Tastes like hot cocoa when I add coconut milk and a dab of honey!

I don't steep this-I use it in my protein shakes. Amazing!

We decided to try this as we had only drank plain matcha previously. Matcha is a bit of an acquired taste and for us at least the addition of some chocolate made it more user friendly, so if you aren't dedicated to plain matcha give this a try. It still has the full wake-me-up effect.

Update - Normally we don't sweeten any teas at all but we have found that a couple drops of agave syrup really brings forth the chocolate flavor and makes this tea even smoother.

Matcha and chocolate make a lovely blend! Sometimes I like to add a bit of cinnamon and cashew milk for a creamy afternoon treat.

Addicted to This stuff! Was searching for chocolate matcha after trying it in NYC this summer. This is now my go-to. With a touch of honey and a bit of milk, it tastes like a gluttonous dessert. I use a milk frother to mix. Divine! Just ordered the larger bag. Wish it came in a large tin for the price. Oh well!

This is my favorite matcha, I drink it every morning. It has just a light mocha flavor and is easy to make. I also use it in my pancake mix.

I love the taste of matcha. This one has a hint of chocolate. With a little sugar, the chocolate comes out a little more.

I honestly can't taste the chocolate in this, but it's ok. To me, it tastes like any other matcha.
