Grown throughout the world, peaches are culinary perfume. A stone fruit with a brief growing season, the peach's botanical name, Prunus persica implies it originated in ancient Iran (Persia) but in fact it is a native of China. White peaches have a creamy white interior often blushed with pink, red yellow exterior, and conventional fuzzy skin and are more delicate than the yellow peach due to its low acid content, the prime reason used with white tea which can easily be overwhelmed by stronger flavors. The white peach is one of hundreds of hybrids and varieties of the fruit.
