Perfect ice cold tea, cover bottom of cup with honey then add half tablespoon of Sage powder and add ice cubes after sepping.
Argentine Yerba Mate with lively, tangy, herbaceous notes. Faint hints of tobacco and grass. Contains caffeine.

Perfect ice cold tea, cover bottom of cup with honey then add half tablespoon of Sage powder and add ice cubes after sepping.
It's a classic! Great way to start the morning. Perfect amount of caffeine for me and the flavor isn't too subtle or overwhelming
I tried this because I was reading about all of the health benefits of Yerba Mate. Sadly I have found out Mate is not for me.
This tea has a very mild, slightly bitter flavor. It has an earthy taste; I've seen others describe it as 'tobacco-like' and this is quite accurate. The flavor isn't strong, and doesn't strengthen with additional leaves. It re-brews nicely for a second cup. It was an interesting flavor, and for anyone looking for something different with a good caffeine kick, this is worth a try. Definitely a good alternative to coffee.
This stuff will get you twisted!! It's best to drink with a gourd and straw like tradition suggests.
This tea had very little taste after 3 minutes @ 175, so I let it brew for another five minutes. It has a slightly smoky, mildly mint tea flavor to it. Adding some agave syrup helped to bring the flavors out and gave it a touch of sweetness.
It's easy to see why this is so well loved. It's got an even energizing quality and a bright, optimistic herbal flavor with a subtle toastiness.
'It kinda tastes like something maybe' was the verdict of my co-taster. Very subtle flavor.
Did my best to get 10 min steep at 150° as per the packet instructions. Very mild result, more like a green tea than other Mate blends I've tried.
This was weird for me. It's very vegetal for an herbal, which is to be expected for this one. However, it's also very sweet, but still vegetal, like a bell pepper. Well-rounded flavor, even if it's a one note. It doesn't quite fit my taste as is.
I love flavored mate; this one, not so much. It tastes a bit flat, like vegetable broth. I appreciate the caffeine, but I will stick to the delicious citrus mate for a morning boost.
160F for 6min. I've tried this before, but I would brew it at 212f; however, at the lower temperature, it is definitely more mellow and less bitter. A herbal tea with a kick. Grassy, bright, with citrus notes.
This tea was too grassy for me. I prefer roobios or black teas.
Delicious yerba mate. I like the clean flavor and aroma.
I've had yerba mate a few times before, and it's definitely a very light tea that has a little bit of grassiness to it. But it's so light that you barely even notice the flavor most of the time. I bought some to add to other blends as a way to ensure I can get some caffeine if I need it but want something herbal! I did two infusions, the first for 5 minutes, the second for 10. The second infusion has some delicious, honey like notes of sweetness to it, while the first has some subtle tartness along with that grassiness, reminding me of slightly unripened, tart fruit. Regardless, both are very subtle, neither is overwhelming with flavor. I think I enjoy the second infusion more, and I will be experimenting more with temperature and time.
I love this tea. It's delicious and light. It's great during my work day or while reading a book. Love it
My first try of mate, this will be a staple for sure! How have I been missing this my whole life?
I love this mate. I like to mix it with other teas, but even by itself it is good and fresh, with high quality leaves!
A nice plain smooth tea. A nice, mild caffeine boost. I prefer the flavored Mates but this tea I'm sure would blend well with other flavorful blends.
I was hoping for more of a bitter kick from this, but it ended up being almost bland. Would definitely recommend mixing with other herbal teas
We really like this yerba at my house. We do not drink it traditionally with the the yerba cup and filter straw. Instead we steep like a normal tea
All the other brands of yerba mate have an unbelievable amount of dust in them. Much higher quality than what i get in other areas
Today the tea was just okay for me. It didn’t have any real strong flavor
Liquid gold. Smooth pleasing taste that I'd be hard pressed to describe.
I think that Mate is great in a blend but a little plain on its own. Regardless, it was quite good with some honey and a berry mix added.
Not as jarring as my first experience with yerba mate, but it still remains that this tea isn't for me. It's not as grassy as a green tea, and it has quite a bit of caffeine, but there's a woody taste there that I just don't like
I like mate but would steep it longer as I enjoy the more bitter taste.
I'm new to yerba mate and really enjoyed this cup! Light with a faint herbal taste, but not at all grassy.
I would have it again. It’s nice to have some sweeter with it. I wouldn’t brew it for too long can get many brew out of it too
I was surprised how good this tea tasted! I went in with pretty low expectations (being more of a black tea drinker myself) It was pretty good! Kinda flowery, beneath its grassy surface. Seems it would be good in blends which I’ll have to try
Too green and grassy for my tastes. Will pass on future mate teas.
I don't turn to mate often, but Yerba Mate has a very pleasant nutty flavor with a hint of grassiness. It gives me a nice caffeine boost too!
Honestly, it's a simple-flavoured tea, pretty light (at least when steeping according to directions), so it isn't something I'd seek out for the flavour on its own, but it's a nice base for other flavours if you still really want a kick-in-the-pants dose of caffeine. You can also steep it at a higher temperature for a less vegetal/more robust flavour, I just didn't try that this time around. Steeped 3 min @ 160º.
It's, very possible that I just brewed it in the wrong way. My resulting tea tastes like nothing. 🤔
This is definitely stronger than I thought it would be both in caffeine level and flavor. I think it is better to add it to the lemon merengue green tea or black lemon tea vs on it's own, but it's great to add as a pick me up when you need more energy.
Very grassy, it’s ok but not my favorite. I brewed at 175 for about 3 minutes
Delicious, but since I decided I liked mate chai better I added cloves and cinnamon. Yum! Almost a chai!
I cannot drink more than 1-2 coffees a day without feeling anxious and uneasy. This yerba, however, gives me a remarkable effect of feeling alert and focused without any of the jitters or anxiety or crash. The tea is great quality, and does not have lots of 'sifty dust' as many other yerba mates do. Can get a bit bitter if steeped too long, so I tend to go around 4 minutes. Wonderful iced.
Yerba mate will energize you with its caffeine boost. The aroma is fresh and green, inviting you to take a sip. The cup is smooth and light, with a slight vegetal flavor and a hint of sweetness. The finish is clean and refreshing, with a touch of floral essence.
My Favorite tea in all the world. It is so beneficial. I suggest everyone try this. I spent time in Chile , approx. 2 years, and when I left to come back to the USA, I had an entire suitcase filled with this tea. I could not find it for years and all of a sudden, here it is on this web site. I highly suggest everyone try this tea. It is good for what ails you and is delicious.
Grassy, but in a light way. Since it's high caffeine, I'm not usually sitting and savoring this one. I make it and take on the go, which it handles well since it keeps its flavor profile even as it cools down.
In the first place, Adagio's recommendations are not at all how yerba mate should be consumed. When prepared properly (drunk immediately after water is poured, ideally shared among friends) it's delicious, though I do get the jitters they promise you won't.
Very nice yerba mate. I add Orange peels and a bit of sweetening to it for a bit of flavor and I really enjoy this tea.
Simple but my fav! I've been drinking yerba mate for years and this is the best I've come across. Great to add your own flavor too- I love making it with orange zest & star anise, or lemon zest and ginger.
Other reviews describe it as kind of grassy, and it is, but only in the way that green tea can be grassy. This tastes like a lighter, brighter, downright sunny cousin of green tea. There’s a sweetness that, to me, is almost-but-not-quite reminiscent of mint. The only issue I have is that, flavor-wise, I would love to drink this in the afternoon, but the caffeine content keeps this as a morning tea!
Contrary to the site description, it doesn't taste at all grassy to me. More earthy. A bit like green tea and a bit like black tea but not quite like either, and with notes of spicy-sweet cinnamon. Quite a pleasant way to get your caffeine fix.
Not a leaf I'd drink alone. Perfect blended with other herbal varieties to take the edge off. I mainly drink it iced, mixed with green or red rooibos blends. I have never tried it in a gourd with a bombilla, but would for the sake of tradition.
This Yerba mate is wonderful and works by itself of with a blend of other teas to give flavor and energy
I just order 16 oz of this after trying a sample. A touch of stevia knocks out the bitterness, and the pickup was better than coffee but without the jitters.
Needed to try some ways to cut down on coffee consumption - this has been a great resource. Bright and a little bitter. Love the less extreme and longer lasting boost in energy.
Have yet to try it but have heard so many good things!!
