I cold brewed my packet in 8 oz of water for 5 hours, and it came out really tasty. A nice smooth, fruity tea. Pleasantly balanced with a natural sweetness and a very mild tartness. I don't know that it tasted distinctly watermelon, but I did get pink kool-aid vibes. Overall, a refreshingly fruity summer iced tea. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; cold brewed 5 hours)

This tea is awesome. I brewed hot with sweetener, Hubby loved it too.
I will buy this and cold brew like others have suggested, will definitely bring out the sweetness.

Candy watermelon scent upon first impression of the dry leaf tea, and it left me apprehensive because I normally don’t like watermelon-flavored things.
Unfortunately this remains true: though I could taste the apple and other fruit flavors vying for the forefront of the palate, it was all underscored by saccharine, stale, fake-tasting watermelon on the back.

I tried this hot, it tastes nice this way but I also believe it would also be refreshing cold brewed. Tastes like the sweet juices from Watermelon! Delightful!

Lovely dark pink colored tea with a delicate watermelon flavor. Smells a little like jolly rancher watermelon, but it tastes so much better. No artificial metallic tangs noticed at all in this tea. Hibiscus plays a nice role of keeping this from being too sweet, but there is a touch of astringency on the end of the sip. I did not add anything to this tea to sweeten it. It is just right. I cold brewed overnight in 10oz of water and was rewarded with a refreshing cup of delicate watermelon flavors. Enjoy!

This smells and tastes exactly like watermelon candy. The watermelon flavor dominates but there are accents of other fruits and rose hips. I made this hot and loved it, but it would be incredible cold.

Meh. The aroma of this tea in the packet was supurb. I got definite smells of watermelon and very strong rose, but once brewed, it didn't taste like anything. I'd be hard pressed to even tell you what I'm drinking except maybe vague flavors of non-descript fruit.

This is my first time having watermelon tea and it was so good! I coldbrewed the tea over night and it is very refreshing. I rate this a 9/10 and it would purchase it for myself for the summer months.

I love watermelon. This is the first time I'm drinking it hot. Unfortunately, I prefer it iced. Please refer to my review for the iced tea version. I have a big bag of those iced tea bags at home and buy whenever I am low.

I wish the mint was stronger in this. It mildly reminds me of Teavanas watermelon cooler, but that was minter and had green tea. This is okay by itself but I feel like a smokey green tea like sleeping dragon mixed with more mint could make this amazing hot or cold instead of just good cold

This has the scent of artificial watermelon (think Jolly Ranchers), but fortunately doesn't taste that way. The watermelon flavor is natural, but weak, in my opinion. This is not a tea for me!

This tea has a fruity flavor but not necessarily watermelon taste in my opinion. It’s not a bad tea, just not what I expected from the name.

CommuniTEA Sample: I was very surprised with the first sip of this tea. I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. Yes, it is a bit more watermelon flavor than actual watermelon, but is still surprisingly good. A very strong liquid Watermelon Jolly Rancher vibe going on. That said, it's not sweet, so I actually enjoy it far more than the candy. This is a good blend that did surprise me in a good way.

I can honestly say that this tea surprised me in ways I wasn't expecting. When I had initially opened my communitea pouch, I was assailed with the scents of apple and roses, but not much watermelon, which is what had left me nervous to try this tea. But upon brewing, there was a light and delicate aroma of apples, rose, and hibiscus, but the watermelon appeared to be lacking from the nose as well. Which is understandable, as watermelon is a hard fruit to translate into tea.
Where this tea really shined was in its tasting profile. The initial frontal notes of the apple were strong and brought an almost tart yet sweet note to the tea. Following the apple, you get light notes of the rose and hibiscus, creating that astringent floral nature that most like in their herbal teas, but the finish... my goodness. The finish really brings in the watermelon notes full blast. It was like I was sitting on a veranda on a hot summers day sipping a cool glass of watermelon juice. The ending notes really brought the entire tea home and makes it a very well balanced tea to drink in the summer. Highly recommended to anyone who is a fan of fruity herbal teas, or watermelon in general.
Brewed at 212*F for 10 minutes and lightly sweetened.

While steeping this tea a distinct watermelon fragrance emanated from the cup. The flavor was lighter and very much like watermelon. A nice refreshing cup of tea. Looking forward to having some iced as well.

This is a bit too light in flavor for my personal preference but I still think it is a good herbal. It definitely tastes like watermelon with a hint of cranberry/hibiscus tang on the back of the sip. What a nice, light vibe for summertime! I bet this would be great iced poolside. Happy Sipping!

I made it as an ice tea and it just was not very strong. Are used a bunch of leaves though so I’m not sure why it was so weak.

This is my new favorite. If you like watermelon you have to give this one a try. The soft, soothing watermelon flavor is subtle but noticeable. I make it hot and let it cool for an hour before adding a little ice.

This blend takes me back to middle school me tossing back some Wrigley s Extra Sweet Watermelon bubble gum during class and getting bugged by my classmate for a stick. Which i am so down for. Sure, i wish it didn t taste as artificial as the other reviews said but boi is it good at what it was trying to go for.

I've only had a chance to try this once so far, but am about to reach six months since I bought this tea (out of season, on sale!) -- a.k.a. the review deadline! I'll update my review once I have a chance to experiment a little bit, and try it cold brewed and try drinking it warm. So far, I tried hot brewing and chilling it to drink iced. That was a nice first go (on the mild side, but with true, natural watermelon flavor!), but I got the feeling that I didn't steep a representative scoop of tea. I've had this tea in blends, and enjoyed it, especially the Mabel blend, which has wild strawberry and mint, too. Delicious and refreshing iced!
