Spearmint Customer Reviews

Refreshingly clear, soothing aroma. Slightly smoother, more grounded than peppermint, gentle to the palate.

★★★★★

A great mint tea, I like that it is a bit softer than the peppermint.

★★★★★

I love this. I always have some of this as a hot tea when I'm sick. Helps clear up my nose. C:

★★★★★

I lovee this tea! It's so yummy and helps relieve my headaches. It's a great tea to have on hand, especially when it comes time for mixing.

I bought this tea after reading some studies on how mint can help soothe nerves and headaches. And boy did this do the trick for me, I drank some during one of the worst headaches of my life and the uplifting scent coupled with the soothing mint taste nearly obliterated it!

★★★☆☆

Similar to peppermint but with less of a 'minty fresh' flavor or smell. I prefer peppermint.

★★★★★

This is an amazing herbal tea. I make sure to always have some available. The aroma is perfection, and the potency is purely awesome. I have had friends remark on how great this tea was, and ask me where I got it. Highly recommended.

★★★★★

smells like spearmint gum in the bag (my favorite!) I might have made it a little weak...whatevs, it's still good! A minty fresh taste that lingers on your tongue. I have yet to try it iced, but I'm sure it's fantastic! EDIT: oh man. so great when iced. i used up a fair amount of my sample (7-8 tsp) making a quart or so of iced spearmint and I am not regretting it one bit. So good.

I am a huge fan of mint, and seeing as how all the other teas from Adagio are such high quality, it is safe to say that this is also a high quality tea. Definitely best brewed strong, but not too strong.

it was good. what do i say about good tea? what do i say about good things? i like good things.

★★★★★

The mint flavor is very refreshing. I loved this tea!

★★★★★

this tea is fantastic, it tastes like pure spearmint and nothing more. perfect for a sore throat!!

★★★★★

This smells like spearmint gum! Seriously! Not as strong as peppermint is but it definitely adds a nice flavour in other blends (in particular, black and green teas). Overall, light but very refreshing!

★★★★☆

To be entirely honest, I bought this tea to mask my breath when I've consumed raw onions. Heh. I don't know if it does the job very well, but it's a nice cup of tea, though I do think that it could have a 'cleaner' taste. Will try brewing at a lower temp.

★★★★★

A really really nice spearmint. Very fragrant but the taste isn't too strong. I tried mixing it with Gunpowder to make Moroccan Mint and am now all but addicted to the stuff!

★★★★☆

More pleasant than its 'peppery' cousin as a cup of tea. It's subtler and smoother and not so in-your-face with the mint, though it does leave your mouth feeling cool and refreshed so there's no need to brush your teeth ever again! (That was a joke. You still have to brush your teeth. Especially if you drink this with sugar.)

★★★★★

The spearmint is exactly what it advertises itself as - delicious as a spearmint. An important thing for men to know, though, is that spearmint has been linked to reduced testosterone, so men may want to limit their consumption to the occasional glass.

★★★★★

I love spearmint, so this is obviously going to be a biased review, lol. It's a pleasantly sweet alternative to a bit of peppermint tea before bed, or as a good way to clear up your mind before starting your day.

★★★★★

Going to get the larger bag next time...loved it!.)

★★★★★

Very light-tasting and refreshing! Very good after a heavy meal to help cleanse the palate, I've found. :)

★★★★★

I've always preferred spearmint to peppermint for the milder mint flavor and this herbal is a perfect cup of spearmint. I used 2 tsps. per cup, steeped for 5 min., and it made a very aromatic cup. Perfect for unwinding after a long day!

The aroma of this tea, both in the bag and when brewed, is *incredible*. I had my cup with only sugar in it. The spearmint taste is instantly apparent, but not overwhelming. The taste tends to linger in the mouth, but in a good way. No bitter aftertaste. Recommended!

★★★★★

It's like most spearmint teas and it tasted wonderful

★★★★★

I love to have a cup of this tea after dinner. It is refreshing after a heavy meal. It is also great for tummy aches.

★★★★★

I bought this for my mom, and she loves it! She mixes it with a breakfast tea in the mornings, or will just have it by itself. She swears by it.

★★★★☆

Good however it didn't have that spearmint kick I like from certain gum flavors though they're probably artificially flavored.

★★★★★

Excellent tea by itself or brewed with other teas! I use mine to make some iced mint green tea. It tastes great iced as well!

★★★★★

I usually get mint to blend with black tea, but I also tasted this on its own. The peppermint was way too minty for me, but the spearmint is much mellower, while still giving you that cool mint tingle. I love the fresh smell. Still great to blend with other teas, it really perks up black tea.

★★★☆☆

standard tea. keep this around the house for when the tummy is upset or an after dinner treat.

★★★★★

Another good one, especially in the morning and after lunch. Like peppermint, it's super refreshing and leaves a really nice effect in the mouth. Give this one a try! I even mixed it with a little bit of the peppermint tea for an extra kick. This is a favorite, for sure.

★★★★★

i am a true believer in peppermint tea. however, spearmint has opened my eyes. the cool kick and more vibrant flavor is somehow both calming and invigorating at once. so very good.

★★★★☆

I usually use fresh spearmint from my garden, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this dried spearmint.

★★★★☆

I use it as an addition to some green teas (gunpowder for one) as well as Lapsang Souchong. The cool mint gives this smokey a nice lift. For best results, I have found to begin steeping the spearmint for a couple of minutes, then adding the other tea.

★★★☆☆

I expected to love this tea-- I love spearmint and I love mint teas. However, on its own it's got an odd aftertaste. I've been adding it to other black or green teas for iced tea, which covers the aftertaste, but I doubt I'll reorder.

★★★★★

I just want to say that Adagio's mint teas are both wonderful, so here I'm just comparing the spearmint with the peppermint tea. The spearmint is milder and sweeter than the peppermint, and is less candylike in taste. I like the peppermint just by itself, and the spearmint in blends, especially with Adagio's gunpowder!

★★★★☆

Perfectly minty and refreshing, I like that I can drink this tea even after brushing my teeth.

★★★★★

This is amazing. Super green and minty. I can't wait to mix it with some chocolate tea.

★★★★★

I can't help but think of double mint gum every time I open the bag. It is extremely aromatic! I bought this to mix with gunpowder tea, and it makes for a delicious blend.

★★★★★

I think Spearmint is one of my favorite teas now. Easy to make, easy on the tastebuds.

★★★★★

Excellent flavor without being overpowering. I enjoy spearmint tea on it's own but the flavor is also excellent when mixed with green tea or ginger tea. If you've got an achy stomach, spearmint tea blended with a little ginger will ease the pain.

★★★★★

I love this with green tea. It has a crisp minty taste without being as strong as peppermint.

★★★★★

One of my favorite teas. Great for relaxing after a long day at work or just to wind down the day before bed. It's not overpowering.

★★★★★

I love both the peppermint and the spearmint teas. The spearmint tea is very clean tasting. They are great by themselves or mixed with chamomile or green tea.

★★★★☆

Very sharp and minty! I've yet to try the peppermint but I'd love to compare the two: spearmint is probably a bit mellower, but it still retains all of its mint sharp flavor and it tastes great!

★★★★★

I absolutely love this. I drink it late at night when I don't want anything with caffeine. Perfect for cold nights, since it isn't cooling the way peppermint is.

★★★★☆

It's a really great tea, very soothing and calming. Definitely more mild than peppermint, but I prefer the brightness of the peppermint to the more mellow spearmint. However, spearmint is a good relaxation tea.

★★★★★

Probably the best tea I've had in a long time. With sugar it taste like a spearmint candy. A must-have for people with stomach problems and all-around stress as well, due to it's calming effects. Can't get enough.

★★★★★

A simple, classic flavour. Still haven't gotten to try it iced, might have to wait for the weather to agree for that one. Blended extremely well with lemon grass, and also snowbud!

★★★★★

I absolutely love this tea. It has a great, not too strong mint flavor

★★★★☆

This was a really lovely tea. Very calming after a long day. I only wish it were a little less mellow and a little stronger.

★★★★★

This was so fantastic that I want a huge bag of it. No, I NEED a huge bag of it, haha. Fantastic, will definitely buy in the future.
