Spearmint Customer Reviews

Refreshingly clear, soothing aroma. Slightly smoother, more grounded than peppermint, gentle to the palate.

The minty freshness of this tea is a great refreshing flavour in the middle of my workday, and I bet it would taste really good when iced too!

★★★★☆

What's to say? Milder that Peppermint but the taste reminds of a certain chewing gum. Also, it doesn't seem to be as effective medicinally as Peppermint for soothing nausea and other ailments. That could be my imagination though-- it's certainly not a scientific study, just a perception. Still, there are times when Spearmint gives the desired taste and strength. I definitely want it on hand. I tended to prefer Spearmint when I was newer to tea (or candy cane accents!).

A very simple spearmint tea. Perfect if you have any nausea or otherwise feel unwell. It is delicious and difficult to burn or oversteep. I enjoy drinking this to relax, and it has a cooling flavor from the menthol.

One of my new favorites! Got one for my sister and had to get another for myself!

Bought this to make my own Moroccan mint blend, but it is also very refreshing by itself. Delicious.

Ok, hear me out. Upon first smelling this I immediately thought of spearmint gum. Kinda weird, right? But the taste is out of this world-- it's lighter than peppermint, which is the mint tea I'm used to drinking (but can sometimes be a bit overbearing). This tea, however, is a perfect brew when you want a refreshing after dinner wind down.

Mild but delicious. Soothing on its own and mixes well with other herbal blends. Works especially well with 40 Winks.

Exactly what I was hoping for in a spearmint tea. It has become a delicious after dinner treat. Has replaced the Tazo one I was drinking previously.

Really refreshing tea. Try mixing with Gunpowder and sweetener for a refreshing/smokey cup of tea.

This is my go-to mint tea. I've mixed it with the citrus mint in the past, but find I enjoy the tea by itself.

I am not a fan of this tea. I didn't really care for the flavor as much as I thought i would. I definitely like peppermint better

★★★☆☆

You can't definitely smell and taste the spearmint. Go easy on this tea it a little strong but worth it

My absolute favorite mint. I love it by itself or blended with black tea, or other blends. It's so mellow and versatile.

Warm, comforting, and delightful, whether on its own, enhanced with a touch of sweetened condensed milk (a spousal favorite), or mixed with equal parts peppermint.

Great mint flavor and is perfect to have iced in the summertime. Equally good when hot in the wintertime.

In terms of mint teas, spearmint is a gentler, less-harsh mint than peppermint. This is my go-to evening cup before bed—the spearmint is soothing and calming, and helps me relax.

This is my favorite herbal tea! It has a clean mint flavor that I love. I love mixing this tea with black and green tea and it really elevates those teas.

Bought this for blending and am very pleased. It’s got a smooth, cool quality. It’s great on its own, great blended with chamomile and lavender, and is also good iced!

Every time I taste mint, it reminds me of new beginnings. It cuts through what was there before and lays a new path. This very tasty spearmint tea I sipped today is light and lively with a friendly mint scent and flavor. I appreciate that it wasn't a powerful mint blast that overwhelmed the senses. I could enjoy the sip and breathe easy.

Upon opening the CommuniTEA packet today, a sweet spearmint scent wafted out and a generous 4 teaspoons of dried chopped spearmint leaves weighing 3 grams fell out of the packet like a little green waterfall. I brewed at 212F for 7 minutes using a small Adagio teapot. The steeped liquor was not green but rather a light golden brown. I sipped some plain, sweetened some with honey, and set aside some to cool. All versions were tasty and delightfully minty. I would probably add this as a flavor accent to an iced tea that had more body and to some hot ones too for that sweet mint lift. This such a versatile tea to have on hand and Adagio’s version of it is just delicious. A resteep was possible using less water.

I think I read somewhere that spearmint is a good drain cleaner, I hope it is, because after one sip that is exactly where it went. Only thing that could have made this worse is hibiscus.

This was a very strong tea, strong enough I was able to use the leaves twice and add some mint flavor to a hot chocolate.

This was a nice refreshing sipper. I enjoyed mine with a little sweetner added for a night time sip.

Very nicely minty and mellow. I was uncertain about this tea, as I didn't particularly like the Adagio peppermint. I think I just like spearmint better than peppermint, looking at the other minty things in my cupboard!

I think I prefer spearmint to peppermint these days. this is very nice. Definitely just pure spearmint leaves. very nice. steeped a little too long at 5 and it was medicinal; I can't imagine 10 minutes!

Delicious, minty tea, pure and simple. I also can't overstate how big the one-pound bag is! Think about how you'll store all this tea BEFORE you order!

This is a nice mint tea if you are looking for something a bit less intense than peppermint. It isn't really to my taste as plain mint teas remind me of toothpaste.

When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I was met by the invigorating aroma of spearmint. I steeped it for about 5 minutes. The taste of the spearmint was so refreshing! It was very flavorful and bright.

Good quality spearmint. Crisp and refreshing, though I typically would use spearmint as an ingredient in a drink, and not a drink on its own.

This was the perfect tea for me to start the day with, having woken up with a migraine. It was nice to have the mint help soothe the pain but be a little less sharp than peppermint tea. Thank youuuuu Adagio!

In the bag: As advertised, just finely chopped spearmint leaves. A few stems, but not too many. Overall, a bigger portion than the typical sample packet.

On the nose (pre-steep): Not surprisingly, the scent reminds me of spearmint gum but less sweet. It has a brighter tone than peppermint and more zing.

On the nose (post-steep): Similar to pre-steep but tamer and less sweet. The zing is on hiatus.

On the tongue: The tang and zing are back from the pre-steep scent, but are toned down. The overall flavor is still minty, but is a tad earthy as well.

Opinion: A pleasant enough tea, but I'm not sure I would want this again. Spearmint by itself is too intense and is better when diluted by something else.

Preparation: First steep 5 min, second steep 10 min. Both @ 212 ℉. I did not add sweetener since the tea is naturally sweet.

CommuniTEA Sample: for some reason, I had not reviewed this tea before. It’s a nice, minty tea with a bit of brightness that spearmint is known for. It’s a good sip!

I steeped this with green tea, and if you like mint in your tea, this is a must to try. This spearmint tea is amazing.

This is a lovely tea with a mild flavor. I drink it every Sunday as it has no tannins and doesn't bother my vocal cords when I sing in my choir.

★★★★★

Clean, refreshing, but nowhere near as harsh as peppermint. This tea also mixes well with Melonberry Green for a great summer iced tea.

An excellent alternative to (or combination with) peppermint. It’s great added into some of the lighter teas (white and green) to brighten up the flavors.

I got this as a sample. I drink primarily herbal teas. I loved it immediately! The aroma bursts out of the bag, and when you are drinking it, the whole experience warms you head to toe, especially now that colder weather is here. This is a tea you don't have to search for the flavor! My daughter and I quickly drank the sample, and I couldn't wait to order more. This will be a tea I will have to always keep in stock!

Light and refreshing, just like a spring day! Always a go to

It's straight spearmint tea. Smells like spearmint, tastes like spearmint even looks like spearmint. Maybe because of it's not blended that I feal it could be mintier in flavor.

Right out of the bag the smell on this one was pleasantly strong; the taste was just as pleasing, and easygoing all the way down. I had it hot with a bit of sugar and really enjoyed it. I imagine any spearmint lover would enjoy this; it's simple and straight to the point!

Perfect in every way. Upon opening it's just like a new pack of gum and the flavor is wonderfully crisp and refreshing.

I combine this with Adagio Gunpowder Green to make Moroccan Mint (though I don’t add sweetener). I’ve admittedly not even tried it standalone and I’m halfway through a 1lb bag.
