Smells and tastes like a sweet, zippy apple candy. It barely needs any sweetener, but add a little sprinkle to enhance the candy taste. Magnificent hot or iced. I like to add it to other fruity tisanes for some tangy sparkle.

Refreshing, just like a sour apple. Lovely twist on a hot apple cider. Help to soothe me during a freezing winter.

★★★★☆

Flavor is less apple more hibiscus but balanced well. Not too sour. Cold brewed makes a refreshing hydrating iced tea.

A beautiful and delicious fruity tea, it’s a big hit my household, the flavor though is a little less than what I would like.

In love. Simple yet complex. Maybe it is bite of the tart flavor but this has been my favorite tea. The rich fruit taste and the amazing smell, if you make it everyone will want a cup.

Such a good apple flavor without feeling too “fall”— the bright, fruity flavors are fun and fresh.

By far one of my favorite apple teas, warm and homey.

This one tastes like a green jolly rancher, we enjoyed it a lot, will share it with my friends, Great tea

★★★★★

This is one of my favorite teas. I’m a sour candy lover, and this scratches the itch for me. Definitely has a nice, sour taste, with some sweetness from the apple.

I like the sour apple tea. On a side note, I do not taste any apples at but more fruity notes with a little tangy.

★★★★★

This quickly became one of my favorite midday pick me ups. It reminds me of sour apple candy from my days on the playground.

★★★★★

I've been looking for herbal options, and I picked this to give myself a broader range. I was hoping for something a bit sour, and it delivers.

★★★★★

Love love love teas that have a tartness to them. If you open the bag too fast the tart will really smack you in the face. Brews great.

★★★★☆

Admittedly not very sour once brewed, but still nice and very (expectedly, admittedly) apple-forward.

★★★☆☆

Very very strong if steeped at full strength. It smells and tastes exactly like a green apple jolly rancher which is a little odd for a tea

I was looking for a tea with unique flavor and one that was bold enough to overcome the honey and cream that I add to my hot tea. I found it in Sour Apple. The flavor really stands out. It reminds me of apple cider. I have tried it cold and it is good – but it is excellent as a hot tea.

Bought for my mom, here is her review:
Weird, reminded her of very over-ripe apples. More pungent than fruity.
In a way it was nostalgic of the family's homestead orchard in the fall, when the apples were laying on the ground.
Update: Have had it for myself now. Like many of the tart hibiscus heavy blends- this is much better cold than hot! I'm enjoying more as a part of blends, rather than its own.

I enjoyed the tart sourness and bright red color of this tea, but wasn't much of a fan of the apple/hibiscus aftertaste. Brewed for 10 minutes with a packet of Splenda.

★★★☆☆

I’m not big on this one. I guess I’m just not a fan of the taste of hibiscus. I didn’t get any apple taste either. It’s not bad, but it’s not my thing. I wouldn’t get this tea again.

I've been looking forward to trying this one from the moment I saw it in my communiTEA box, and it certainly did not disappoint! I'm amazed at how much this tea tastes like a sour apple candy. The color is wonderful to see, and it tastes perfect iced - no sugar or honey needed!

★★★★☆

When opened it smells like a jolly rancher candy. The taste is more tar. I liked it iced better more of the apple flavor came out.

This one is simple and good. There are no competing flavors or anything going on here. I want to try this one iced in the future. The hibiscus tartness definitely lends itself well to help that sour apple candy flavor really come through. It's not a favorite by any means, but it had a simple flavor goal and was successful. Drank hot with nothing added. 210° 10 min

From the communiTEA packet, this smells like apple Jolly Rancher candy. This is a nice apple tea with just enough tarness.

Oh my gosh, I absolutely loved this tea. Bright, tart, sour, appley - like a sugar free autumn cider! I loved it. I'm not a huge fan of caffeine free teas (tisanes) generally but this one is top notch. I'm adding some to my cart right now!

I'm an aficionado of all things sour candy related, so I was excited to try this one. It smelled JUST LIKE apple sour candy. The flavor, both thankfully and disappointingly, was not as close to authentic. I say thankfully because a brew sour enough to satisfy me would probably taste pretty disgusting to others! Instead, I agree with other reviewers. This tastes like a green apple Jolly Rancher mixed with those old apple cider mix packets I used to get instead of hot cocoa during after-church pancake breakfasts with a bit of hibiscus as well. I imagine this would be GREAT iced as a refresher on a hot day (I'm imagining a little sprinkle of salt added to replenish electrolytes). A tea that is unexpectedly full of nostalgia.

Four stars, CommuniTEA sample: 5 min @ 212, second cup for 10 min @ 212 and then cold brewed for 5 hours. Lives up to its name! It's a very simple blend, it's mainly just hibiscus and apple. It's really interesting how strong the apple flavor comes through, considering most adagio tea just uses apple as a base for other fruit flavors. But this does taste like apple! And, the hibiscus makes it taste sour. It doesn't really taste like a sour apple to me, but it does taste sour and like an apple, and I enjoyed it both hot and cold.

Very tart and refreshing notes of other fruits as well. God hot but also good iced or ever chilled the night before

Tart, sweet, and delicious. I even tried blending this with a regular green tea because I love adagio green tea blends, turns out adagio is much better at that than me, can we get more green tea blend flavors??

I have really been enjoying this tea. Bright, sassy, and with a sprinkle of sugar crystals, it honestly resembles sour apple candies!
A great iced tea option as well!

Sour apple is amazing! Love the smell of the loose tea when I opened the bag and the same aroma continued once I brewed my cup! And it tastes just like it smells:)

This tea always makes my day! It’s like drinking a candy apple, I love having a snack with this tea.

Deliciously apple-y, reminiscent of autumn and summer flavors at once. Despite what other reviewers are saying, I wish it was more tart! For a simple tea, the flavors are quite complex, lending credence to the jolly roger green apple candy flavor people have mentioned tasting. I also get notes of warmth from the rose hips, cutting through the major acidity. Haven't tried it iced, but I can imagine it's delicious and refreshing. Great, overall!

This one is ODD but very yummy! I was confused when I first tasted it. It’s not apples but it’s something. Just not sure what…

I love a good apple-flavored tea. Very tangy, which might be off-putting for some folks. I don't think I could drink this one throughout the day, it would feel like I'd been eating candy.

Although it is called sour apple, don't let the sour scare you. If it is too tart for your tastes, a little honey smooths it out.

This is not my favorite as soon as I open the bag up I got hit when the face with a really sour apple I would not buy this I would recommend it if you would like sour stuff like apples and things but I'm not going to repurchase
