I mix this with the black orange and the black chocolate chip tea to recreate teavanas 'focus'!! So delicious and nice and high in caffeine to replace morning coffee
It took me a long time to find a good replacement for the 'My Morning Mate' which I used to buy from Teavana, and I can honestly say that I wish I had been drinking this Mocha Nut Mate from the onset. The prices are so much better from Adagio, and the drink itself is incredible. This tea has a caffeine kick that I actually feel, unlike the pod coffee my office provides. It tastes better than black coffee, too.
I don’t drink coffee anymore and this tea is a perfect replacement. All I need is a splash of almond milk and I’m set. This tea is satisfying like a cup of coffee without all of the jitters and stomach upset.

A good caffeinated coffee replacement, especially with milk. Tastes similar to black tea with less tannins. The hazelnut and cream notes come through stronger for me than the chocolate. The toasted mate flavor is very nice.
This is my favorite morning blend. The mocha and chocolate overtones are never bitter and always flavorful. Great hot or cold!
Nice blend of mellow chocolate and hazelnut to offset the mild zing of the yerba mate. I would not recommend putting this tea into any container that is hard to clean or cannot be cleaned in a dishwasher. The chocolate leaves an oily residue that is somewhat hard to completely remove. The result is the next batch of tea might have an undertone of chocolate added to it.
For some reason the nut flavors taste a bit more artificial. I love a mocha and nut coffee and thought I'd love it in a tea as well. It's a little more Eh. I'll stick to fruity and spicey.
I love mate in the morning instead of coffee. I was a little nervous of the mocha, as I am not a big chocolate in my drink fan. This is great. Not overly mocha taste, good aftertaste and smooth. Love it with a dash of coffee creamer.

I love this tea. I got it on a whim as a free sample and I immediately fell in love with it. It's warm, smooth, and almost chocolate-buttery? Fantastic with honey and cream.
From the moment I opened up the bag I was taken back by the scent of a chocolatey light coffee that was very strong. After drinking it both hot and cold I must say that this is definitely one of my favorite teas. I find it to be pretty sweet and although I've yet to mix it with vanilla almond milk, I'm sure that will only make it even better!

If you are looking for chocolate flavor outside of a hot chocolate, look no further. I drink Mocha Nut Mate a couple of times a week. Very flavorful. You can also try Pu-Er chorange if you don't want a mate.
I thought it was really good for someone who doesn t like yerba mate. It s nice and toasty with a nice slight chocolate taste.
I’m a “tea during the week” and “coffee on the weekends” person. Occasionally I get the craving for coffee mid week. When this happens, I reach for this tea. It’s rich, nutty, and has that hint of chocolate that really seals in the coffee-like notes.

I have searched for a new My Morning Mate or Mata Vana to no avail until I found Mocha Nut Mate. It is a great morning tea. I like experimenting also with it and adding different chai teas to it. I recommend highly for those missing that old Teavana flavor.

Very distinctive, mixed nutty and mocha flavor. My mom loves both those things and loves this tea. Not to my personal taste (ugh nuts)
The cocoa flavor, I'm assuming, is artificial. I'm not completely sure, but it doesn't taste like actual cocoa. Maybe try adding real cocoa nibs? The dark brown color of the mate is pretty, and it does have a toasty quality to it, but really I like the mate more than the cocoa. Tastes good mixed with Hojicha.

This is one of my favorite teas from Adagio! It has a great robust flavor profile.

Maybe I wasn't using enough tea, but this didn't have much flavor. There was a slight hint of mocha and a tea taste.

An instant favorite. The complexity in this happy medium between coffee and tea is very self-complementary. Its chocolate and nut tones are rich and almost malty, but they're balanced out by a subtle greenness underneath. There's a feel of much lighter, sharper black tea, without the flagrant grassiness of untoasted mate. I tend to use a shorter brew time at a slightly higher temperature, but it is sensitive to burning and will be bitter if oversteeped.
Tastes almost the same as the unavailable Tevana matevana I loved so much! It’s my new favorite!!!

I really enjoy plain mate and decided to order a sample of this. The yerba mate flavor still shines in this blend with hazelnuts and chocolate. Great replacement for coffee with a little less caffeine. Yum!

I don't know how long and what temp I brewed this, since I was at work. However, it came out beautifully every time I made it. Utterly foolproof, and the aroma is fantastic.
I've only tried a few of the mate teas, but so far, this is my favorite! It has a nice, chocolately flavor that's not too overpowering and is complimented by a soft, nutty flavor. I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking for a good morning tea!
You need a very fine mesh tea ball or screen for this tea. It is mostly powdered. It is wonderful in a mild almost coffe flavor with undertones of chocolate and a natural sweetness.
