Honestly, it rather tasted like kinda sour kool-aid. Good, but I could get the same flavor for a lot less in a packet of powder
Cherry pie, anyone? This delicious blend is an easy stand-in for dessert any day. Cheeky sweet and tart.

This tea attempts to make a true cherry flavored tea, but it's connections to medicine flavors is hard to shake. This is definitely juicy and sweet, with dark berry flavors, and the usual hint of sour pink hibiscus in Adagio fruity blends. I love this flavor when it's in the mix with other black teas, or even green tea, but on it's own it's just a little too much. If you're into blending, give this a try. I am glad there is a total fruit, no-caffeine cherry tea.
I bought this for my boss I plan on trying this Monday when I get to work, not a real fan of cherry, but I'm excited to try this ^^
Almost like drinking a cherry Starburst. Rather sweet on it's own. This is definitely a flavor I could see little kids enjoying as an alternative to Kool-Aid and other sugary drinks.
My year-round favorite! I only drink tea iced (I know: an abomination to some, but I think there is room for us all), and Dewy Cherry is my no1 favorite, alone, or blended with other fruity teas.
Not my favorite, as I tend to prefer a more natural cherry flavor. It's better with some sugar, but I was hoping it would do without that.
maybe I'm just a huge fan of it, but did not enjoy it all that much. Smells and tastes like something you would get when drinking cough medicine. It's possible that I'm also doing something wrong.
Dewy Cherry falls into a strange place. It smells like cool aid. It looks like Cool Aid. But of course it don't taste like it, so it leaves your mind confused and sad. I'm sure if I dumped a ton of sugar in there I would of gotten the same effect, but I didn't. It just left me disappointed is all. I'm sure it would be great with a black tea of some sort though.
I definitely feel that this tea does not need any added sweetener. It is very sweet on it's own, and has a nice little fizz as you drink. Probably the tart cherry tones. Definitely like this better as an iced tea, as it does make me think of cherry cough syrup. If you like light fruity blends, this is definitely for you.
Good cherry flavor, natural tasting. Mixes well with green tea. Biggest downside is 2nd steeping doesn't hold up at all. Most herbals I can get 2 steepings especially if I decrease water by 25 and increase time 1-2 min. 2nd steeping tastes like water here more so than any herbal I've tried. Would still order again just don't expect to get more than 1 steeping.
I have to second the opinion that it tastes like warm cherry Kool-aid. The smell was enough to make me nervous (that cough-syrup-y cherry scent). When I actually drank it I was better than the smell suggested, but still not something I enjoy. Also tried blending it with other tea to take the edge off but the cherry Kool-aid note was inescapable for me.
A wonderful cherry blend, I prefer using this in blending than the cherry flavor tea since the flavor is more pronounced.
Lately however, the dewy cherry has been messed up when in blends, smelling and tasting and looking more like cinnamon and rose petals than the dewy cherry we love. When bought on its own it's fine, however the one in blends has been messed up every time I've tried it this year.
I think this is my favorite tea from this site thus far, and that's saying something.
Full of flavor and tart. Of the many herbal I have tried it was not the one that was most packed of flavor (berry blast and wild strawberry) and not the one that had the least flavor (fruit medley). It was good and can potentially win me over. I might buy it from time to time in a sample size but I am not sure if I will buy a larger bag regularly. Tried this iced and it was perfect! Not overwhelming with flavor but just right.
This is going to be my new iced tea, rich and fruity.
If you love cherry flavor, you'll love this. I agree with the review that says it tastes a lot like black cherry kool-aid, but better.
The tartness of this tea is very nice. It smells great in the bag. It's very tempting to just eat this tea out of the bag.
Don't let the aroma of this tea fool you: this tea doesn't taste as medicine-y as it smells. I liked this tea best when it was brewed for less time, because depending on the mix of fruit pieces in your cup, your tea will be either tart, sweet, or somewhere in the middle. A very fruity cup that's caffeine free, too -- a perfect evening treat.
This is the best Cherry Tea out there. The taste is like eating fresh cherries. It is not too sweet but wonderful.
I buy this tea many times. I give away a lot of dewy cherry. Many people just love the taste and are pleasantly surprised on the quality.
It's sticky, it's bitter-sweet, and I love it. There's a slight tartness to this that is absolutely PERFECT for mixing with teas, green and herbal especially, though I personally would keep it far, far away from the black teas.
This is one of my most favorite tea's I have ever drank it is good enough to be drank hot or cold and it is very tasty it will become one of my tea staples.
Cherry has the unfortunate reputation of being associated with medicine. Many cough medicines or drops default to cherry flavors (because back in the day cherry was pretty good at masking medicinal flavors AND had the additional bonus of being cheap and easy to create). That being said, most people taste cherry flavored things and go - oh yuck! Cough syrup!
Yeah. It smells like cherry-flavored cough syrup. But it certainly doesn't taste like it. I brewed mine for 5 and half minutes at 212, so the flavor isn't as strong as it could be, but I like it this way. It's a bit tangy, but overall is like drinking cherry candies.
This is definitely one of my favorite flavors of tea anywhere! It's sweet, as advertised, but not too sweet. The balance is great, and if you brew it right you'll get smooth cup every time. I, for one, will be refilling my stock.
Smells like cough syrup, but the taste was surprisingly decent. I really just could NOT get past the sickly smell.
Tart with a subtle fruit flavor, nice herbal.
Really enjoyed this cup of tea. Nice light flavor
I was hesitant to sample this tea as i have a major distaste for artificial tasting things, thus flavored tea is not usually one of my choices but i figured it was worth a shot. my fears were confirmed, this tea tastes like cheap cherry flavoring and hibiscus flowers.
I like this infusion- the apple pieces and hibiscus are a great complement to the cherry pieces.
Very Cherry! I loved it and think it would be even better as an iced tea.
Fake cough drop cherry, and not a cherry one in the sample bag.
The smell is very strong and overpowering, sort of like medicine.
This one adds a wonderful berry fruit flavor to a pot. Bright and fun.
Smells and tastes like perfume... Or fabric softener.
I enjoyed the smell of the tea but not the taste as much. On it's own it's just ok so I tried mixing with other teas and it was much better that way.
Meh. It smelled and tasted too artificial for my taste.
It's much better cold-brewed than hot. While hot, I can only describe its flavor as 'very red.' Cold, it's very tart, overpowered by hibiscus, with a slight cherry finish. My toddler seems to be enjoying it, though. Not bad, but not really cherry. These fruity herbals are so far proving to be only good for blending with actual tea (at least for me). Or as kid-friendly tea. I could see this working as an add-in for chamomile for a really nice iced herbal. But by itself, it falls flat.
Tasted just like artificial cherry like you find in cough syrup to me. To be fair, I am not a cheery person unless they're fresh and juicy, so that was what I was hoping for in taste. It disappointed.
I did not enjoy this it was a bit bitter, and had a chemical aftertaste.
I am not a huge fan of fruit teas, but I mix this one with some black tea and it is perfect.
I agree with the other reviews that said this tea reminds them of cough syrup. It was definitely more sour than I had hoped for, which I should have expected, since the description states it is made with sour cherries. However, as someone who likes their tea sweeter, it fell a little short for me.
My friend had given me her 3oz bag of this tea because she didn't like it, but I LOVE it! I love the apple flavor which I think makes the cherry flavor better.
A perfect gift for a friend who can only drink caffeine free tea, but still enjoys full bodied teas.
much better than a vitamin water. I really like this cold but the smell of the package and the scent opening the ingentuitea is very strange. Medicinal isnt right and neither is candy. It is lightly sweet but the rest of the people in my house would need sugar in it. This is a summer drink for me.
Imparts a very nice, subtle cherry flavor. Nothing overbearing. I will brew it longer every consecutive time I make it to strengthen the flavor and it always turns out well. Have always made it iced, so cannot speak to its 'hot' variety.
Delicious tea. The cherry is so nice. It's like a desert tea. Yummy
The cherry and orange blends seem to be my favorites and the dewey cherry did not disappoint. I liked this tea with and without sugar. Will be trying it cold this summer.
I loved this tea. If you are choosing to ice it, I definitely recommend ordering more than the sample size because you will run out of it quickly! The medly of fruits all go well together and I added a stevia in while it was brewing. Definitely will order this again!
This is my ULTIMATE FAVORITE Adagio Tea... so far (I'm a newbie). I just finished my first and purchased my SECOND bag yesterday! The cherry and Apple bits are actually edible and so sweet (it was inviting, I had to try). There is a HINT of rose taste that puts this dark red tea over the top. I'm addicted, what can I say? A bag of loose tea is so much cheaper and fun than going to Starbucks for me... I have a new 'favorite' place! (So... Adagio Tea gift certificates... hint hint!!!)
Awesome flavor! I love it paired with green tea! Kinda reminds me of a green cherry blossom tea.
This tea smelled fantastic, but the taste was not as impressive. Adding a little rock sugar helped to bring the flavor out in the brewed product. I will try to add a little more tea than what is called for next time to see if the flavor improves or if it just makes it taste too much of the added cherry flavoring.
