This is probably a perfect tea if you've the taste for it. The lemon and orange were really well balanced so that it didn't taste astringent at all, but I'm just not about citrus teas. (I got this for blends.) It was definitely still drinkable, which is saying something for someone who doesn't like these kind of flavors.
A lovely light citrusy tea that pairs really well with the lemon grass. I find myself drinking it a lot when I'm feeling under the weather.
Citrus mate is one of my favorite teas, and my go-to cup for my morning caffeine. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I look to tea to get myself going, but the usual black teas can get a little monotonous after awhile. But the Citrus Mate is a refreshing change. I especially like it iced with a splash of creamer, which really brings out the light citrus flavor. This is definitely one of my usuals.

I received this tea as a sample with my order and I was excited when I opened the bag and smelled it - the scent alone of this light mate is delightful. Since I've never had experience with citrus in herbal tea, I was unsure what to expect and tried it both warm and iced - sweetened with stevia.
I preferred the iced version because the citrus was a lot subtler and refreshing and the earthy taste was played down a bit. I have a penchant for herbal teas, so earth tones really remind me of black teas.
On the whole, this is a fantastic light tea with an undertone of citrus and, to me, a flavor similar to black tea. Quite refreshing and I'm glad I had a chance to try it!

A great refreshing tea with a fruity flavor. The citrus tones can definitely be tasted, but they are not at all overpowering.
I blended this with sour apple and gunpowder as an experiment, and it is absolutely DELICIOUS as an iced tea. The caffeine content is also exactly where I want it to be.
So extremely excited to find a Yerba mate blend at my favorite tea spot. This tea is wonderful. The citrus blend is really nice for iced tea. If you've never had a Yerba mate tea and usually shoot for the caffeinated ones, give this a try. I'm not sure why they have it in the yellow herbal bags, but it definitely packs a high energy punch.
I don't think the mate and citrus compliment each other enough in this tea. It's a nice pick me up but not my favorite.
This is my first time having mate and I have to say I really enjoyed it. It is herbal, tastes light, and the citrus is very bright and refreshing. Plus, packs a coffee-level caffeine punch which comes in handy in the mornings. Good hot and iced.

Compared the other mates this one taste a lot better with the added citrus. Seems like less caffeine than the common tea bag mate i get from the store.
Not one of my favorite teas, but not one of my least favorites either. Not a very strong citrus taste. The smokey aroma and aftertaste is what kept me from a good rating.

Enjoyed this a lot more than expected! I can be really iffy on citrusy things but it's got this nice earthy undertone (the yerba mate) that really complements it. Nice bright, zesty taste without being too overwhelming.

The citrus flavoring in this tea was not that good. It tastes artificial and like flavoring you'd find in bubble gum or fruit loops cereal. The yerba mate in this was mostly flavorless.

My water heater stays at 195F so I've found that 4 ice cubes will get a 16oz down near 150F for steeping mate tea. Citrus is OK, not my favorite by any means.
I like the light citrus flavor that covers up the harshness of traditional mate. Be careful not to over steep. I recommend 3-4 minutes.
