Wonderful citrus smell and flavor. Helps soften the earthy tones of the mate. Great to mix with other herbal teas for a caffeine kick without risking too much bitterness.

My favorite tea. Perfectly balanced flavor with a hint of citrus and plenty of mint

Citrusy and refreshing with a boost of energy. I ordered a sample and came back for a larger bag.

I was hoping this would be on more the orange side of flavor, but it is a bit too lemony for me. Not the best pairing with chocolate, which is my preference.

This one took me by surprise. When brewed it was a light almost transparent tea which normally is a bad sign for me. But a solid all around flavor... warm is soothing and relaxing... cold is refreshing... love it

I am not the biggest mate fan but the blending with citrus works really well

PSA: Consume it piping hot and thank me when you do. Surprisingly enough that's the best way to suppress thirst through this tea. No hint of sweetness, just zesty citrus notes and herbal tea in its perfect element.

★★★☆☆

A very citrus tea, a beautiful green liquid in a glass. This tea certainly got my attention and it would make a good wake up and get going kind of tea! Not one of my favorites, but an entirely reasonable tea. 175F (my tea pot does not have a setting for 150) for five minutes.

This was an interesting flavor. I did get citrus. It had a funky aftertaste.

Communitea April 2025. I'm hit or miss on mate, but I love this citrus flavors in this. It balances out the mate well and makes a good drink hot or cold

★★★★☆

Good tea, not as much flavor as I was expecting. In the packet it smelled like a lemon head candy, but it really faded when brewed. Still enjoyed it with a bit of honey.

It wasn’t as full flavored as I thought it was going to be, but it’s good. I added a half teaspoon of sugar and it brought out a little more flavor.

★★★★★

The scent reminds me of those Lemonhead candies, anyone remember those? The flavor is sweet and lemony, but without the bitter pithy tartness the average lemon has. Absolutely exquisite with some honey--I bet this would be great for a hot toddy, haha!

Upon reading the ingredients I was expecting a more orange heavy scent when opening the packet. I was instead hit with almost exclusively lemon. I grabbed an orange to have ready in case I wanted to add a little juice just to bring the other flavor forward. I didn't end up needing it though as after steeping the scent stayed the same, but the other flavors were there. Drinking it remains very very lemon forward with the orange being more on the background almost more like orange zest flavor than the sweet orange flavor. I still enjoyed this citrus cup and even though it may not be a purchase that I would make it is definitely a tea I would not be unhappy drinking in CT samples or at a gathering or special occasion. 150° 5min

CommuniTEA review: 4 min @ 150 F. This is very light in flavor, but I do like the flavor that is there. Mate has a tiny bit of natural tartness of its own, I’d say, on top of some herbal flavors, and the citrus pairs really well with that. I think it reminds me a lot of lemongrass when it’s all put together in this blend, but it’s a little bit heavier in body and has almost a sweet, milky flavor as well. Definitely a nice one when you need a stronger hit of caffeine but want something different from the standard black teas!

I still prefer green tea for a caffeine boost, but mate still has its bright and refreshing charm. The added citrus flavor is a good addition.

Citrusy and refreshing, and has a nice kick of caffeine for an afternoon pick-me-up! Sweetens amazingly with honey. Definitely one of my new favorites. I like it especially because it tastes more like orange to me than lemon. Not that I don't love lemon, but so many of my favorite teas already have lemony notes in them that having another kind of citrus is nice for a change.

I’m a fan of mate and even more so with the citrus flavor, I like this tea with a bit of honey

Wowowow yes, this is definitely a tea where I tried it and thought "Oh I'm getting more of this." Had it both hot and iced, gave great non-jittery caffeine, and tastes good with no sugar. Mellow citrus flavor.

Very good. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this but it’s surprisingly smooth and mellow. Not overly bitter and I’ve found that stevia is best for this to mildly sweeten.

Tried it hot and cold. I’m used to toasted mate so this might be why I didn’t care for this one much. I was expecting a strong mate flavor but I found the citrus to overpower the mate. Not a bad tea but reinforced my taste for toasted mate instead.

This was a veryrefreshing tea. Great citrus aroma and flavor. A splash of citrus juice and a touch of honey enhances the flavor. I would enjoy a stronger citrus flavor and would probably add some dried orange peel to the steeping mixture. Great morning tea.

This was a first for me, I've never delved into a tea this strong of citrus and honestly, I fell in love with it! The smell is so bright of lemon and orange, but the taste is a lot creamier than what I expected, its a very soft flavor! That's not to say its weak or anything, its just as potent as I would like, its just really nice to sip and savor, even when it cools to room temp.

CT - 6/15/24 update. I added some Selefina lemon and oranges peels to the packet. That seemed to give more flavor to the tea.
lI don’t know that I’ve had much mate before. This was smooth and had a light citrus flavor. I would have preferred more citrus but perhaps that is the nature of mate.

The citrus aroma has a hint of mate from the packet. 2 min @ 165. I think this is the last of Adagio's mate blends left for me to try. I can officially confirm that something about the taste of mate isn't for me. That's okay, my coworker will happily drink all my future CommuniTEA packets with mate. Cheers.

A tasty blend of citrus mate! The citrus is light in taste so I added some sugar and that seemed to help bring out the citrus notes. This would make a delicious iced tea.

This one was okay I didn't really taste a lot of lemon in it so if you like my lemon this is the one for you I didn't like it that much I won't buy it again for myself but I would recommend it if someone was looking for a little lemon taste

I like this in both my teapot, and more traditionally in a bombilla with a mate straw. The caffeine content is quite high, so be prepared for that :)

Citrus mate aroma is bright and tangy and it has a lemony-orange flavor, with a hint of floral essence. The finish is clean and crisp, with a touch of sweetness. This tea is perfect for those who need a caffeine boost without the jitters of coffee.

I always drink the guayaki yerba mate that they sell in those cans. This is an excellent alternative to paying a crap ton of money for the cans; buy these instead!

Lovely citrusy tea, that I prefer with the brown sugar crystals. It really brings out the flavor. I'm so happy we found Adagio teas; we have been customers for a few years now.

This tea needs a new category. It would be tasteless. It is not really bad, it just tastes like hot water. I even double brewed it but there is just no flavor!

★★☆☆☆

Unfortunately this smells and tastes like cleaning fluid. Not sure I can even stand to finish the 3 oz that I bought.
Update: it's kind of grown on me. Still not my favorite and I probably won't order more, but will at least be able to finish what I bought.

Mocha Nut Mate turned out to be a surprise all time favourite of mine, so I was hopeful towards this mate as well. However, it had a bit of an earthy, green tea-ish background taste to it that put me off. The citrus notes were very, very light, but nice when detectable.

I actually enjoy mate, although I wasn't sure how the citrus would fit in with this blend. The orange and lemon were light in flavor, but there was just enough zest to keep it interesting. I didn't find it grassy at all. I prefer mate more as a blending tea, but this one was decent on its own. It made for a good morning sip.
