I really liked this. I liked it with and without milk and sugar. It had a slightly spicy taste and the chicory and cocoa blended nicely. However...in my opinion it's just not tea. Chicory is a coffee substitute. This was more like a coffee drink than an herbal tea.

I will be honest that I wasn't looking forward to this tea, mainly as it is mentioned that it's a coffee substitute. I brewed for 2 mins and didn't taste any coffee. It was a cinnamon roll type vibe and I drank a big cup of it. But there are so many teas out there without caffeine that I prefer.

A nice tea that I wish was caffeinated but otherwise satisfies the desire for the taste of coffee.

This is a great tea! It has a nice touch of cinnamon that’s not too much but enough to enjoy. It’s a warm and comfortable sip. I brewed it at 195F for 2 minutes and I think that was just right. I highly recommend it!

This is certainly a new experience from Adagio! I loved how strong the cinnamon smell and flavor was. There is a slight bitter note at the end of some sips, which I attribute to chicory's similarity to coffee; since I don't enjoy the bitterness of coffee, that was the only downside for me. With a splash of milk and a hint of sugar, this cup ended up quite tasty!

OH MY GOODNESS. Coffee cake in a mug. Steeped for 2 minutes at 212º and it was so yummy. Very cinnamon-forward at first, but got some nuttier characteristics as I drank and as it cooled. All the best things about coffee flavours and all the best things about hot tea - all at once! It felt like being wrapped up in a cozy autumn blanket. This will become a regular in our house, no doubt about it.

This really grew on me. At first sip, I was not too impressed, but by the time I finished my first cup I was really enjoying it. It has a robust, spicy flavor that I don't expect in a decaf brew, but that is a nice change from lighter herbal blends.

Really love this tea. If coffee was a tea, this would be it. It has a cinnamon bun flavor, really an autumn tea. I sweetened it with agave nectar, this is definitely one you want to sweeten. It has that bit of coffee bitterness, reminds you of chocolate. I don't actually like coffee, but I love this tea, and it would be also be great for anyone that doesn't like tea but loves coffee. A tea that coffee and tea lovers can meet in the middle on. You don't see any coffees that can do that, do you?

The coffee experience I've been dreaming of. Cinnamon-y good coffee taste, but none of the jitters. When I do need a little caffeine, I add a malty black (lately Scottish Breakfast). A new daily staple!

Lovely tea, with a most unique flavor. The cinnamon, chicory, and dandelion blend nicely to create a smooth and refreshing cup that is not at all what I expected, but something I thoroughly enjoyed!

CommuniTEA portion: Steeped at directed. Warm cinnamon aroma radiated from the packet and the cup. I really wanted to like this more than I did. It seems to be a lovely cup but I don't think my tastebuds are into the chicory. Might try it again cold steeped or have my coffee drinking people try it out. Fun adventure though.

The addition of cinnamon made this coffee cousin taste better, once I added milk. When I did drink coffee I always put milk and sugar in to try and tame the bitterness. My grandfather used to drink chicory coffee at times when he wanted a change from regular coffee. I can understand why now.

The smell of the packet reminds me of walking into a country store in the fall with the smell of cinnamon and chocolate baked goods. I brewed it for a little over 2 minutes and the resulting cup was pretty dark but the flavors were actually pretty light. To me this tastes like a light cinnamon cream coffee, especially since I added a little vanilla syrup and oat milk to sweeten it up. I enjoyed it a lot, and will definitely be adding this to my next order!

It smells and tastes like cinnamon, chicory, and chocolate. It gets bitter as it cools, so is best when warmer.

In the packet it smelled like cinnamon sugar toast, and after brewing I tasted some of those notes; however, they were accompanied by kind of a burnt, bitter taste. It wasn't the worst, but I kept going back and forth as to whether I really liked it or not. I added some sugar which helped even things out a bit, but I think next time I will experiment with brew times and see if less time helps. This does have roasty, toasty notes and has a strong flavor that mimicks a coffee-like experience, but the flavor is nothing like coffee (just a note for those of you who don't like the flavor of coffee). A fabulous scent of rich cinnamon and chicory greeted me upon opening the CommuniTea packet this morning! After I brewed it, the tea smelled just like a cinnamon roll. I tried a few sips without sugar, but found it quite bitter, though that did subside a little as it cooled. I added sugar and found it much more to my sweet-tooth tastes, hehe. I can't wait to try this blend again with cream or milk! 1:45 mins @ 195°F

So, warm this tea is delightful! Woody and perfectly spiced with cinnamon. But I accidentally let the cup get cold and once cool it was so bitter! I wander away from my teacup pretty regularly, so this tea won’t work for me :(

I really like this and it does resemble coffee. Would be a good way to break the habit. I only have 1 cup a day but if u add that caffeine into my tea caffeine it can add up. So this is a nice way to eliminate a little caffeine.

I loved this unique tea that smells and tastes like a cinnamon bun. There is a hint of a coffee flavor in the background that enhances the cup. I steeped at 212 degrees for 3 minutes and added some rock sugar. I also happened to have some heavy cream on hand and splashed some of that in as well. So deliciously decadent and caffeine free!

I am OBSESSED with this blend. I became too sensitive to coffee but I miss it and this completely hits the spot. Plus it has dandelion root which is good for the liver!

Oh this is soooooo good! It’s deep, rich and hearty without any caffeine! I’m in heaven! The roasty chicory is delightful paired with the cinnamon. I added sweetener to make it extra delicious. I’ll keep this review simple; I love this “tea”! Happy Sipping!

Ohh I really like this. A lot more than I thought I would. This is liquid French toast with a dash of coffee. Really good breakfast time drink.

This is amazing! The aroma as I opened my packet was a wonderful blend of cinnamon, chocolate and the woodsy scent of chicory. I added a bit of stevia to my cup. 200F, 3 minutes. The lovely toasted flavor of the chicory and dandelion root blended perfectly with the cinnamon...tasted like cinnamon toast! I really enjoyed this one! Loved the fact the cinnamon did not overpower all the other flavors. Yummy!! Chicory also makes a lovely latte. When I get a larger bag of this I'm definitely doing that! Add a splash of vanilla and your milk of choice -- I promise it's amazing! Don't overbrew/use too much though -- measure chicory based teas/coffees. Too much can be rather intense (from past experience). Chicory lattes are lovely & you can personalize the taste with a bit of sprinkled spice -- nutmeg, cloves, star anise, even pumpkin spice. :)

When I opened the packet it smelled kind of spicy. When I actually brewed it, it had a bit of a coffee flavor. I am not a coffee drinker so this wasn’t for me. Those that enjoy coffee would like this .

Recommended steep: 1-3 minutes at 212°F. I steeped 1-3 minutes (I believe 3 minutes) at 200°F in about 11oz of water with 1.5 tsp rock tea sugar.

Upon opening the packet it smells spicy, like a chai, and it is a pretty, dark blend. St first sip, it tastes like cinnamon, in fact it reminds me of a chai, much to my pleased surprise. It is cinnamon forward to start, with a hint of what I think is chicory. This tea gets better as it cools. There is a little bit of an odd aftertaste, but nothing too bad. I quite enjoyed this cuppa and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it on my own in the future. 5 stars from me.

Delicious, cinnamony awesomeness in a cup! This is a warm, soul soothing elixir that is perfect to enjoy on chilly fall or winter days. It would also make a fine dessert tisane to sip after a meal or along with a baked treat! It’s definitely dunk worthy if you have cookies or scones. Sip, sip away!

This tea smelled like a cinnamon bun and tasted just like a cinnamon bun when it was hot. In fact, I didn't taste coffee at all until the tea had cooled down, then it was so bitter that I couldn't even down it. Heating it up again seemed to get it back to sweet cinnamon roll without the bitter taste. Such an interesting tea experience, I think I will have to buy more and see what it was all about.

There is a vivid and vibrant aroma of chocolate, cinnamon and chicory wafting up from the CommuniTEA packet. It steeps (for only 1 minute) into the darkest, cloudiest, red amber tea. It looks like coffee, however I am NOT a coffee drinker. This tastes so much better than coffee, to me - it is deliciously delightful. The chicory blends gloriously with the cocoa, and the cinnamon is a dainty zing at the finish. I like dark chocolate (which is slightly bitter) and that is what this tastes like - dark chocolate with some nutty chicory. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener and some heavy whipping cream (to 10 oz) makes this a tasty treat to sip on. So glad it only has trace caffeine, and since chicory has so many health benefits, this is one to get for my cupboard. (1 mins @ 212ºF + sweetener and cream).

WOW! This tea is delicious. I didn’t know what to expect with this. I thought it was just going to be another chocolate tea but this is a really unique taste and I love it!

All ingredients were present in my communiTEA packet. Toasty cinnamon aromas were noted.

I had 3.48 grams of ingredients, enough for a medium strength 14 ounce steep. I steeped at the recommended 212°F for three minutes.

When hot, moderate cinnamon toast flavors were noted. I added ⅜ teaspoon of sugar for sweetening.

When warm, moderate dandelion root flavors provided nutty flavors. Cinnamon flavors were moderate with spicy zings on the tongue. Moderate toasty chicory flavors were noted. I couldn’t detect the cocoa nibs … they may have gotten overpowered.

This blend had all the flavors of a piece of sugary cinnamon toast, that’s for sure! This was some good stuff! (3 mins @ 212ºF, ⅜ tsp sugar)

This was horrible! Had a strong astringent taste. I had to throw out the rest of the sample pack and put in compost. I'd never suggest this as a replacement for coffee. What a waste of money.
