It tastes like all things fall. With a bit of honey it is rich and full bodied. Perfect for any fall afternoon.
Honeybush hazelnut and cocoa nibs relax and ground you, while a spice blend of aniseed, cinnamon, clove, and orange peel offer cozy comfort.

It tastes like all things fall. With a bit of honey it is rich and full bodied. Perfect for any fall afternoon.
One of my favorites. It's really unique and delicious. Warm flavors that aren't overpoweringly spicy and it smells like fall. Perfect :)
This is a very unusual tea: woodsy & smoky, but with lush fruit flavor. Love it on a cold morning.
Definitely very smokey -- this is a very well-named tea. Some bright notes to balance it, but you should be looking for something full of very strong, dark flavor when you drink this tea. (Not sure if I'll be getting it again, as I don't find myself making a cup of it often, but I don't AT ALL regret the purchase.)
This is an excellent herbal substitute for Russian Caravan, its complex and smokey, but not overpoweringly so. A great night time or cold weather tea
I've been using this as mulling spices for the most part, it smells incredible. It makes a tea with spice but not a ton of flavor so I've mixed it with some smokey black tea and I've also used it to make tea eggs. I'm going to try to mix some in when I make my next batch of apple pie alcohol to make it extra spicy!
Not entirely convinced it's completely caffeine free because there is a black tea in it,but the flavor is good.
It smells very nutty with refreshing orange and then a hint of smoke. The smoke flavor is a bit off putting. It reminds me of liquid smoke but the more I drink the more I enjoy it.***I want to edit this and add that it is one of my go to teas; it really does remind me of a fire. The smell of it dry is so delicious. I'm sad I didn't order more of this to last the year but now I have something to look forward to every fall.***
I LOVE this tea, and so does my friend (I'm pretty sure she's had more of it then I have)! It's so warm and toasty, I love drinking it when it's raining, and I can't wait to have a nice, warm cup when it starts snowing here.
I was hesitant at first but this is a nice winter cup of tea no sugar needed it's slightly sweet by itself perfect for the evening.
This was very different and tasted exactly like it sounds. I was surprised at how smoky it ended up being, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. I will need to be in the mood for a cup of this tea, but I think there's a time and place for it!
A nice, warm drink. I like to brew a small pit before bed and drink it with a little milk.
My boyfriend likes this more than I do. I loved the idea of this tea, but there's something off in the flavor for me. I wish I has gotten more of the lapsang souchong coming through.
There is something absolutely addicting about this blend. I'm usually not much for lapsang, as I've always found it far too intense on its own. Like drinking a campfire, and not in the nostalgic childhood camping trip way. The smokiness is still front and center here, but cut through with some spice and a bit of sweetness at the end. I never need sweetener for this one, but every sip makes me smile.
Absolutely delightful. I never even look at the herbal section because I don't like them, I'm glad a friend turned me on to this!
Returning to this review. I ordered a second, larger, bag of this tea and it tastes nothing like the first. No matter how I shake it to mix the various bit together all it tastes like is cinnamon. I can't even taste the lapsang anymore, let alone the other components. Disappointing. I'm bring it down from 5 stars to 3.
This one did live up to its name... but it wasn't better off for it. I thought the smokiness overwhelmed the other flavors in the blend to the point where it was difficult to drink. Even if I brewed it for less time it still came off as too smokey, just watered-down. So personally I would skip getting this again, but those who enjoy smokey flavors would probably like this.
For the most part, I like this tea. It is certainly an acquired taste, and sometimes the smoky flavor is a little intense. The orange helps to tone it down a bit though. I haven't tried this one with cream or sugar yet, but it's certainly next on my list.
smoky, sweet, spicy, amazing. This tea completely put me in the mood for fall and winter.
I love the idea of this blend, but I didn't find it to have much flavor and it had a scent to it that I find off-putting. I tried different amounts of tea and different amounts of steeping time but didn't find much flavor. (Did finally find the smoke though.)
I enjoyed this...it is unusual but in a good way. Would imagine a nice hot cup on a brisk Fall day. Pleasant to drink.
I was really excited to get this tea because it sounded great and even though the other reviews made me question it a bit, I went for it. The other reviews were pretty accurate. It is smokey and the orange is overwhelming. It is okay when I am looking for something really strong, but most days it just isn't the right choice for me. Unlike the other reviewers, I didn't mind the orange as much as the smokey. I don't like a smokey tea, and this one is very smokey. I guess the name is bonfire so I should have guessed, but because it was described as being more orange and spicy, I thought I would like it more. If you like really strong smokey teas with a strong back note of orange, this one will be for you. Otherwise, avoid it as the other reviews advise.
Amazing, one of the best teas I have had in a long time. Very good hot or cold.
The anise flavor in this was too strong for me. While the tea smelled lovely (and exactly like its namesake), drinking it was unpleasant for me. I ended up throwing most of it away.
Very nice on a cold day. I like the combination of spices.
Darn, how many favorite teas can I have from Adagio? I love this tea! The spices mingle with the fruit notes, in particular the orange flavor, the lapsang souchong tea adds the perfect touch of smoky flavor, and the peppercorns gently sustain the spices on the tongue. Perfect! This tea evoked many memories for me of walking in my grandmothers woods with her on fall days, and coming back to her place for a cup of spicy tea around the bonfire at sunset. I just wish that all my favorite teas weren't limited editions!
This was really a treat. It's got a slight sweet honey taste from the honeybush, spices and oranges are prominent, and the smokey taste is perfect. Makes me want s'mores and to snuggle up with a blanket! I like to oversteep my teas and this one turned out lovely. Not too strong or bitter.
Not my favorite. I will not buy this again. The scent reminds me of ashes. Smells better than it tastes.
I'm not usually a fan of Lapsang, but the balance of it in this blend works quite nicely. As others have mentioned, there is definitely a strong orange flavor, but I quite like it! It conveys the warmth of a campfire without being obvious--it's more of a smokey sweetness than a firey spice. As much as I enjoy it, my friends covet it! I might have to get another bag soon--every time they come over this is the tea they request!
I enjoyed it! A wonderful flavor and feels very autumnal!
Love, love, love this tea. Perfect for a fall day!
It's fruity and a little spicy. It's great on these cold fall days.
Meh...It's ok on a nice, cool Autumn night. It literally tastes like a bonfire!
This is not for me. This tastes a bit more like an actual campfire than I was expecting.
It was a good tea. I can really taste the orange flavor coming through. Good tea for fall
I liked the bonfire, but didn't love it. The cocoa nibs add a nice flavor, but it is just not my style.
I was absolutely amazed at the smell of this tea! I absolutely LOVE the smell of bonfires and was totally transported to a bonfire with this tea! It has a lovely flavor as well. I will certainly be buying this tea again!
Warming and quite tasty, this tea tastes and smells like a woodsmoke fire just over the hill.
The aniseed flavor overpowers everything for me at this time, which is not one of my favorite flavors. I want to try blending it with something nuttier to see how that tastes, because I like the underlying flavor I can taste. Still, very fall-like, which is exactly as advertised. I just taste the aniseed more than I taste the orange.
Oh man, this tea is great. It tastes like camping. It is a little strong for me so I have to be careful and not let it steep too long. But honestly I really love it. I think this will be great for the chilly days. :)
The smell is even better than the taste. It doesn't taste bad like I expected it to. The blend is wonderful if you love black tea.
This tea is incredible. I am going to have to stock up so that I have it year-round. It is PERFECT on a cold day!
A bit less flavorful than I was expecting, good tea though. Be careful to not over step or it ends up tasting like burned wood.
Nice cuppa for the season, without being too much of anything. It's generally pleasant. none of the spices stand out, but they are there. I did not care for the smell of the leaves, but the smokiness comes forward in the brew and is quite pleasant.
Many flavors involved. I don't really like the flavor mix.
Oh my heart, if I HAD to pick a favorite tea, it would be this zesty fall flavor! Perfect for an early morning quiet time, end of the day unwind, or any time really. Try it with a dash of maple syrup and a couple teaspoons of cream. You'll 'fall' in love immediately!
This is an unusual tea. I had to adjust to the smoky flavor of the tea but now I am really enjoying it. I normally prefer fruity flavors but I would order this again. It's a tea that I'm enjoying more now that the weather is cool.
The smell and taste of this is to amazing! Pure fall in a cup!
Strong tasted with a lot of citrus elements that can be inhaled from the leaves.
Bonfire was not as good as I hoped. Too smoky for me!
Not the flavor I expected, but enjoyed it none the less.
