Smelled like cold medicine and tasted like artificial smoke
Honeybush hazelnut and cocoa nibs relax and ground you, while a spice blend of aniseed, cinnamon, clove, and orange peel offer cozy comfort.

Smelled like cold medicine and tasted like artificial smoke
The tea had an almost burnt smell to it that was a little off putting.
This is my absolute favorite tea.. It is like fall in your cup. It is amazing sweet or not.
This tea is really weird. It won t be for everyone, but I love it. It has a great smoky flavor.
I wasn't sure about this, but it really does taste like a bonfire--crisp and spicy and smokey and a touch of sweet. I added a little sweetener and some cream, and it's lovely. Will likely order more
I read the reviews and was not prepared to like this. I was pleasantly surprised at the complexity of it, particularly the smokiness of it. Bonfire is definitely the perfect name, and this to me is a perfect fall cup.
The smell itself was slightly off putting, as it came out smelling almost fake, whether from the orange or from the honey bush I m unsure. Overall not a tea for me.
Obviously smoky, almost like sausage. But also a nice fruity after taste.
This tea is amazing for cold nights! Warms you right up.
Smoky and warm, okay, just not our top choice of tea.
Absolutely horrible. I would never get this again. The flavor just sat in your mouth long after drinking it.
Such a strange combination, but I’ve fallen in love with it and am now sad that I have to wait until fall to get it again. Tragedy!
I can't quite make up my mind on this tea. The combination sounds cozy and lovely, but the orange flavor overwhelms the other flavors. I am planning to try it in combination with other teas as other reviewers have suggested to see if I can find the right balance to help it achieve its true potential.
I wish this blend was available all year! Knowing this was a seasonal blend I rushed to stock up on it after finishing my sample.
It was overly smokey and I could not drink a full cup.
Smells great. Very interesting and unusual flavor. It's not one i would drink often, but when I do it is very good.
This tea tastes like fall. I adored how smokey and spicy this was on cold, clear nights.
There is just something so heart warming about this tea. It brings to mind the cold winters sitting around the fireplace with my family back home. It is also just tasty. Would definitely recommend.
So tasty and warming spices. Perfect for a chilly morning.
Rich and interesting, instantly makes me feel cozy and relaxed.
I'm glad I just got a sample of this tea, because it just isn't for me. It's definitely interesting and worth a taste, but in my optinion, that's about it. Buy a sample for the novelty of it, enjoy the blend of flavors, and chalk the whole thing up to experience. It's definitely smokey, which isn't for everybody, and definitely not for me, but if you like that kind of thing then give it a shot.
Spicy and dark. I received this tea right at the end of fall and have been using it to stay warm during these snowy winter months. The orange, lapsang souchong, and peppercorn really balance out some of the Chai spices. Will be buying a larger bag with points or once fall comes back around to keep this in my collection.
By far one of my favorite teas I've received from Adagio. The smell is absolutely tantalizing, and the taste does not disappoint.
Really an unpleasant tea. I threw it away, flavors too strong.
Was not my style but I might just need it to grow on me. It had more of a kick than I was expecting.
so glad they brought this one back! i had it last year/!
I'm not a fan of a smokey flavor and this definitely had that.
Ok, I wanted to like this, but I really am not a fan of smoked things. Tea, Smoked Peat in Whiskey, Smoked malt beers... All of them gross me out. The smoke is very present and I couldn t get past that. Some may love this... I do not. Giving 3 stars because I can t downgrade solely on it not being my style.
Interesting tea overall. Don't think I would get it again.
Delicious tea to share, especially for autumn. Even my friends that don’t generally like black tea enjoyed it. Good by itself or with a little locally made honey!
My absolute favorite tea Adagio offers. The smokiness is so well balanced with the other flavors.
While this tea takes some getting used to it had a lovely under taste after the smokiness of the shop has passed. This is not a frequent tea, but on the right occasion this is earthy and unique.
This has become one of my favorite teas!!! When I first opened it up, I wasn't sure I would like it. But I have fallen in love with this! Great for fall and winter.
Way too smokey. It would have been better if the smoke flavor was more subtle.
This is a delicious tea, great to sip on next to a bonfire, of course
The cinnamon in this tea was really nice! I made it according to package directions, steeped on the longer end, and it was a pleasant warming tea to have late at night.
This LEGENDARY tea will inspire sonnets and soliloquies. When you first inhale the deep, earthy scent, you will be transported to a wet, rainy day in the deep, mossy woods. Blink and you find yourself settled before a cheery apple wood fire, with a steaming mug of spicy cider gently warming your hands. Blink again and you find yourself leaning against a floury tabletop, watching the intricate magic of rolling out cinnamon buns. Yes, it is all that and more!
Iit was alright but the smoky flavor of the tea I was not a fan of
I am not really a fan of this. It sounded good but was a bit off for me. I think I am not a fan of honeybush or it may have been the apple in it. It was okay and if you like cider I think you would enjoy this. It reminded me of visiting that one particular aunt you have whose house smells like a flora shop at Christmas time while sitting in front of the fire place.
I'm not a fan. I took the leap and got a sample after reading the description, but I couldn't finish the cup. If you're questionable on anise, skip this one.
I really wanted to love this tea. it has so many of my favorite flavors but I think that was the main problem, there were TOO many flavors. there's so much that it all kind of becomes muddled and doesn't taste that great.
I may try to dilute it with some plain black and see if that helps tame it.
I liked this quite a bit. It's smoky and complex. Hard to pick out too many individual flavors, but really warming and cozy.
Man what a kick, they really aren't kidding when they call this bonfire. It's very interesting.
Didn’t care for this one. Maybe I’ll tweak how I brewed and try again
love the smoke aroma of this tea. great with a touch of almond milk.
I had high hopes for this one. its a strong bouquet but it comes off muddled
Not my thing, but I got it for a friend who loved it!
Overall it’s pretty good! The smell is unique and I’ve never smelled anything like it before! But the taste doesn’t match the smell in intensity. I’d still buy it again though
This is a super bizarre tea. I never knew teas could taste like this. It's super smoky and perfect if you want a nontraditional flavor.
The perfect autumnal blend-the pepper adds just the right amount of spice
