Tasted better than I imagined! This tea is definitely going to be bought again.
Honeybush hazelnut and cocoa nibs relax and ground you, while a spice blend of aniseed, cinnamon, clove, and orange peel offer cozy comfort.

Tasted better than I imagined! This tea is definitely going to be bought again.
Another nice tea. Enjoyed it but didn t love it. The flavors came across nicely but I was hoping for more smoke and spice. Maybe I didn t add enough tea.
I am excited by this unexpected tea! The combination is unique.
I'm sure some people like this, but it just wasn't for me. I tried it hot and cooled off, and it just tasted like I was licking a charred log.
Smooth, warm, and comforting this tea broth forth memories of autumn get togethers I haven't even experienced, yet! The fruit and smoke perfectly balanced to give you ~festive~ and not just lapsang.
This tea shouldn't be good. It has way too much going on. The ingredients list is a mile long. It should be awful...but it's not. It is balanced and complex. It's smokey, and warming. It says it's a tea for autumn but I prefer it in Winter. I used to get the 3oz size in Autumn but this year I opted for the 16oz since I always seem to run out when I get the 3oz.
Warm, and slightly fruity, great for fall night around the fire. Will definitely buy again.
Although I like this tea, it has a very strong smokey smell and the initial flavor was extremely smokey. It has grown on me, but this is one that I definitely recommend drinking a bit quicker so that you don't have much time to taste it.
This tea is so unique and that's why I love it! I was very intrigued by the ingredients (like pink peppercorns) and it doesn't disappoint. Can't wait to try as a hot toddy.
WOW is this smoky! I glazed over the lapsang in the description, too distracted by honeybush and cocoa nibs and orange zest; it was definitely not a 'hint' of lapsang, more like a slap to my tastebuds. Not my cup of tea, but perfect for people who really enjoy that lingering peppery taste. It took a while for me to get the taste out of my mouth. I'll be passing this one a long to someone who will appreciate the Bonfire tea.
Tastes like liquid smoke lol. But still, not horrible
Very good but not quite right for me. It was not quite spiced enough or fruity enough for my tastes. But then again, I love bold flavors best.
Taste matches the name. My youngest (6) absolutely loves this flavor and asks for it by 'the fire one' lol
I bought this in the fall alongside the Fiery Cinnamon Spice, and I definitely prefer the latter. I'm not a huge fan of aniseed, so I'm not really sure why I got this in the first place. If you like that flavor, then you'll probably like it, bc it's very strong
I cashed in points after reading the 'love it or hate it' reviews to try this myself. I was raised in a college town. The smell reminded me of tailgating parties on game days. However, the smell also drove me crazy if the bag was left un-opened. The taste wasn't bad. I did have some co-workers who could smell it and got curious. I made them teabags. Here I am ordering another bag. UPDATE: I just opened my sample of lavendar lemon tonight, and my daughter asked me to combine it with Bonfire. I thought it was an off the wall idea. The lavendar lemon lessened the bold taste of Bonfire. The combo would probably be considered criminal by Bonfire devotees, but it is an idea for those who weren't fans of the tea.
Awful taste, definitely would not recommend this tea.
I think there's just too much going on in this tea.
Yummy! Perfect for a cold night near the fire. The Smoky flavor is what makes it unique.
I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I love the aroma of lapsang, but cannot drink a full cup of it. This blend uses the perfect ratio of lapsang to honeybush with the perfect accents. I love that the caffeine level is much lower so I can enjoy a cup in the late afternoon or early evening.
I did not like this one at all. Perhaps if I mixed it with something that has a sweeter flavor but as it is, it s not one I like. It s a bit heavy the the artificial smoke flavor, meh. No Thanks.
Holy cow! It's even truly smells like a bonfire! I wasn't sure I'd like it, but it's an amazing cup of tea...oozing fall comfort.
This was not what I was expecting. Very bitter taste.
I wasn't expecting this tea to smell and taste exactly like a campfire, but it totally does.
I enjoyed this very much, the cinnamon was the right amount. It gave me 'harvest' warm feeling drinking the hot tea.
Smells like a smoky bonfire. No lie. Odd aroma. It's very strong. The flavor is not as smoky. Slightly sweet taste.
Likely my favorite tea from Adagio! Like a warm campfire.
Not sure what I was expecting but the smoke scent and flavor is a little overpowering for me. The orange notes are not very noticeable too me. I'm going to play with the brew time and see if that makes a difference.
I think this tea is something of an acquired taste. I could catch some hints of other things but the smell and taste of the aniseed was far too strong and overpowering for me. If you do not like the smell or taste of aniseed, this tea will not be for you.
very strong/sweet smoke taste, I use this tea to add to other teas. Just a little bit goes a long way
Amazing flavors! Perfect for a winter night! Delicious!
This is a very DIFFERENT tea, but I love it! The first sip is strange because the licorice from the anise and the smoke from the lapsang souchong is a very uncommon flavor profile, to put it lightly, but this is a very interesting and delicious blend. I'd recommend it just for the novelty of trying it, though this understandably may not be everyone's cup of tea.
Easily my favorite tea. I wait impatiently for its return each year. It’s slightly sweet, perfectly spicy, and an absolute delight on a chilly night.
Loved this - lots of flavors going on. I love the touch of smokiness from the Lapsang Souchang and mix of anise, apple, orange, cinnamon and peppercorn. Equally good plain and with milk and sugar.
NGL, I bought this on a whim because it was on sale, and I am pleasantly surprised. Rich and spicy without being overpowering.
Smells absolutely amazing. Don’t let it steep too long. I like at least two teaspoons in a 6 - 8 oz cup
Earthy and warm tea blend perfect for cool nights.
My first cup of this was warm, sweet and spiced but not exactly spicy. Rushed the steep a little so I imagine it's even better and stronger with a few more minutes!
Smoky teas make me nostalgic for Autumn, so it's not wonder I appreciate this tea. I love the addition of the spicy, floral peppercorns and the orange peel. I love the complexity of flavors this cup yields.
Really good, but it has a really strong smoky flavor. Wasn’t expecting so much smokiness.
This tea is so intriguing! If you want to know what a campfire tastes like then snatch this one up! I also love to blend this one with the maple black tea to add a touch of sweet. I would order again.
This one was a toughie- I did not particularly like it on its own, but when mixed 2:1 with chestnut tea and some kind of milk/sweetener (I used sweetened condensed milk), this is a wonderful fall drink with a divine scent.
I absolutely adore this tea; it's the perfect amount of sweet and spicy - the perfect autumn/winter tea. It's made better for me with just a teaspoon of suger and a little bit of honey!
Very good when additional black tea is added to the mixture. Good spice but lacks boldness
It definitely has a bonfire taste to it. I’m so curious how they achieved that! That said, I’m not sure how I feel about it... it might depend on my mood. I used up my sample but I would be willing to try it again.
Bonfire is a tea that brings autumn to mind and truly is best enjoyed during the cooler months of the year. Being nearly caffeine free makes it the perfect beverage for a cozy evening after a long day (and in my opinion has a slightly sedative effect). My steep brought the honeybush and clove/peppercorn flavors to the forefront, creating a taste much like the scent of a fragrant but spicy candle shop. Those who find pure lapsang to be overpowering may find a more welcoming and subtle alternative here. This tea truly is an unusual blend of flavors that's worth experience (even if only as a sampler), especially from September - November.
Just the right balance of smoke and sweetness. Other reviews are right that it smells and looks very fruity but that balances well in the brew.
loved it, it's an herbal rather than a black tea which is my usual prefference but that just means it doesn't go bitter too quickly. Its sweet and woodsy and makes a great tea for enjoying a book with.
I really wanted to like this tea, but as soon as I opened my sample I didn't like the smell. So brewed it anyway, and still didn't like the taste. It tasted bitter and nothing like fall. This is the first tea that I have tried and didn't like.
Wonderfully spicy, with that touch of lapsang to hint at an actual fire.
I'm not normally the biggest fan of honeybush, but its scent and flavor enhance the experience here.
Nice herbal blend - warming on a chilld fall night, with a nice mix of flavors.
