I enjoy this tea somewhat but the smell is a bit off-putting. It does, indeed, smell like a bonfire and it is a delicious tea and it's probably just me but the smell doesn't seem right in a tea.
This was a lot smokier of a flavor than I imagine and reminded me of smoked beers I have had in the past. Almost like the scotch of teas. Pretty wild, not for me.
One of my favorite fall teas! The smoke flavor is just strong enough without being overpowering.
Sounded great on paper, but had a dominant taste that I didn't expect and didn't like -- I think it was the lapsang. After a mug or two to be sure, I passed the whole bag on to a friend. She, however, really liked it. Maybe you will too.
Wow. This is quite the blend. I was skeptical at first because the blend smells a bit strange, but I am a believer now. The fruits mix well with the spices, and the peppercorn adds a nice little kick to it. Very good.
I wanted to like this, it had a lot of good spicy flavors, but maybe I'm just not a fan of rooibos.

The ingredients on this are nice. The tea is strong but not overwhelming and is perfect for bringing back memories of fall.
I really wanted to like this tea. It smelled heavenly dry. But after brewing, it had such a strong smell of smoke that I could barely drink it. You know how you have to wash your clothes after sitting by the campfire, because they smell bad? Yeah, it smells like that. I added cream and sugar, but the taste was only a little improved. I think I'm going to have to throw the rest away.
My absolute favorite so far. It's seasonal only. Luckily, I was able to go back and stock up before it was too late!
This was a complex tea. I wasn't sure I would enjoy it, but I did. Warm, smoky, flavorful. I took it with a spoonful of honey.
This tea s physically evocative of sitting around a campfire on a cool, misty night in October. It s pleasant, but eventually being around a heater inside sounds nice. I plan to break this out again during tabletop night to enhance the experience of storytelling, but it isn t one that I instinctively reach for to drink.

First I would like to say that I really enjoy walking into an adagio tea store. The customer service is great and the store is updated and clean. In addition to the above I love getting a free tea sample with my purchase!!! When I tasted the tea called bonfire in the store for first time in the store, I immediately went over to buy it. The mixture of ingredients was like no other I have ever trashed and although it reminded me of my favorite time, fall —— I enjoy it every day. So much I bought a pound of it—- something I have never done before. Just the smell of the tea brings me to happiness !!! Try some. I usually visited the stores in Naperville and the downtown Chicago store!
I personally wasn't a fan of this tea, which was disappointing because it sounded so good in the blurb and reviews. I found it tasted a bit like how the fall isle in stores smells, overpowering and kind of fake. I often got a stomach ache after drinking this and eventually had to give it to a friend. My friend really enjoyed it and is planning on buying another sample. So it's very different for each person.
I love this tea, it's smoky, citrusy, nutty, sometimes a touch of spice. It's consistent but somehow a different cup each time. I'd say this is a savory tea, kind of like hot dogs. I bought a 1lb of this tea, love it.
Interesting tea. Smells kind of smoky but you mostly taste the cloves and orange flavor. Definitely a good evening tea in winter.

This is the perfect tea. I wish it were available year-round, I wish I could take back half a star from every other five-star review I ve given, this tea is the best in the world. Sweet and deep and just the most delicious thing I ve ever drunk. I can t recommend it highly enough.

Believe it or not, this tasted exactly how it sounds, and it is amazing! The smokiness is unlike any other tea I've tried. It is a great tea to drink curled up on the couch at night.

I had this once a year ago and really liked it, but this time I really didn't enjoy it. I had to mix it with a chai to drink it.
I'm not usually one for smokey flavors, but with this tea, the smoke was light and perfectly balanced with the other flavors. It's a great tea for cozy Fall nights!
This is a really unique and tasty blend! The lapsang souchong gives it smoky undertones that are balanced with the other flavors and spices to create a delicious cup that warms the soul.

This was just no good. It smelled and tasted like burnt rubber. Tire fire in a cup. It was the first time I ever thought to return a tea purchased here, but the return process is crazy. 35% disposal fee, must pay for return shipping, and after all of that, it is just not worth the hassle of returning it. Don't try this one. Just skip it.
This one is a very unique tasting tea. Will buy again. It has a simple warm flavor to it.

I love this tea. It has all the elements needed to feel like I am sitting outside on a fall day.
This tea wasn't my particular cup of tea. It has a very strong smoked flavor that lingers in your mouth, like a prayed scotch. It's not bad necessarily but I didn't enjoy having that flavor with a tea.
Smells just like all the best parts of a bonfire. Taste is excellent, warms me up and reminds me of great times with friends around the fire.

This wasn't my favorite. I was so excited for something that would be smoky and flavorful, but it just fell flat.
Picked up a sample and this is an interesting one to be sure. Very up front with a smokey spiciness with some subtle sweet and citrus notes in the background. When I first tried this I was a bit overpowered by the smoke profile and kind of wrote it off as too aggressive. After blending a bit of the bonfire with some earthier puerh though all of the notes were present but were not overpowering. I got quite a few gongfu style infusions out of that test session and am considering picking up some more for blending.
Really good, but not an everyday sort of flavor. It's far too potent for everyday, but definitely a special occasion tea.
Although I do enjoy a smokey tea, this one is almost like drinking a lightly citrus beverage in front of a camp fire.
This tea had a really strong and wonderful smell, but the flavor was too heavy on the cinnamon for me.
We have 30 acres in the Sierra foothills, and burn brush piles in the spring. I *swear* this tea smells exactly like those cool, damp days when we have a pile burning.

This tea is actually pretty mellow, with just a little bit of bite from the red peppercorns. It's excellent.
