I was really surprised at the smoky flavor. It's very distinct but in a good way!
Honeybush hazelnut and cocoa nibs relax and ground you, while a spice blend of aniseed, cinnamon, clove, and orange peel offer cozy comfort.

I was really surprised at the smoky flavor. It's very distinct but in a good way!
The smokiness comes through strongly on this one. Not one of my favorites, and definitely needs milk to smooth it down, but nice on occasion on a crisp fall morning.
A strong tea, thats not for the faint of heart. This strong flavor is a little smokey and a little strong smelling but honestly if you have an acquired taste its a good one
decent tea but i honestly couldn't get over the dominate smoke taste in the tea. The only place I could see me drinking it is in front of a campfire.. Gave the sample to my mom.
Wonderful to drink in the cold days and gear warm and cold
One of my favorite teas for the fall and winter seasons. Low caffeine with a smoky flavor that I've not found an equivalent to elsewhere.
I have had such an amazing tea experience with this company, but this tea hit in an unpleasant way. I couldn’t handle the smell. It reminded me of boiled hot dogs. Thankful that all the other teas I got were bangers.
has a very nice aroma. very comforting. A nice flavorful but relaxing tea. Goes with any mood. In the house or on the go.
This is a very unique tea, between savory and sweet but definitely more savory. It reminds me of a barbecue or something. I definitely recommend trying it I've never had anything like it so it's great if you wanna try something different! I put milk and sugar in mine.
This one is unique. My daughter tasted this one first and said that it’s smoky. A nice mellow tea that pairs with chocolates.
Very smoky and herbal. Hard to describe. Not very pleasant. My wife hated the smell.
Well, I can say this"It definitely smells and tastes like a bonfire or should I say what I perceive a bonfire might taste like.." Upon opening it smells like bonfire which I definitely enjoy the smell of. However the taste in my opinion is awful. I wanted to like this tea. Could not make it past 2 swallows to give it a fair chance.
They aren’t kidding when they say this is a bonfire! Captured the smoky taste of a campfire in a cup!
I didnt care for this one at all. The flavor was just..weird. glad I just got a sample of this one.
I'm not sure how you get the smell of a bonfire into a cup of tea, but it's uncanny. It's smokey and spicy and mildly addictive. This one is not for people who like light or fruity teas.
This is a very unique flavor, and very smoky. Some in my family say that it's too smoky for them, but personally I really enjoyed it, especially on cold days.
I was surprised to see that so many people like this tea. I took one sip and dumped it out in the sink. I feel like it has the same plastic taste that smoky scotch and Mezcal have. I personally can’t stand it.
Bought for my girlfriend and she seems to enjoy it
I absolutely love this! It's like a cup of autumn. Yes, there is a bit of smoke (did you notice the name?), but also apple-ish warm bits to balance it, and nothing ends up feeling artificial or fruity, just rich and woodsy. Highly recommend!
For me this one was just almost drinkable. I instead sipped enough to grasp the flavor and past it to my hazelnut loving wife. What stood out the most to me here was hazelnut mingling with lapsang which does fairly evoke memories of fire and smoke and I don't hate on the concept because if there were a bit to hit a smokey toasted not I think hazelnut is definitely the one to go to. I saw peppercorns, but didn't taste any and I would have loved to see that anise flavor pop. Unfortunately just like the cinnamon they were all no shows in the flavor department which is sad as I think their presence would have made me actually love this one even with hazelnut. Nothing added and passed to wife. 212° 5 min.
A delightfully smoky blend. Had a rich taste, with toasty, chocolatey, and smoky notes. Very good!
This is a very lovely tea that truly evokes the feeling of its name. Warm orange and cinnamon, light spice, and lapsang all blended together beautifully. I didn't feel like any one flavor overwhelmed or drowned out another, but you can pick up the distinct notes of each flavor.
I just can't do lapsang. Aside from that huge part, the tea would be good, all of the other flavors sound great.
Oct 14, 2025: a lovely mix of fall flavors, appropriately reminiscent of cozy nights by a bonfire!
Oct 12, 2023: this has such a vibrant and unique flavor profile, I'm intrigued. Definitely very autumnal, with splashes of brightness... and eerie smokeiness underlying. It's a lovey taste of fall without your typical PSL vibe!
Definitely not for me! I did not even like the aroma when it was seeping. This tea is not for me and since there are so many other teas out there that like – I will leave this one alone. To the adventuress out there - give this tea a try - how are you going to know if you like it unless you try it. It is a good thing I only bought a “sample of it”. I will pass the rest of this tea on to one of my relatives, perhaps they will like it.
It's so smoky it was the very first thing I smelled as soon as I opened the package and even after steeping when you would expect the smokiness to have died down it didn't if anything it was stronger. It's not an every day tea but it is an occasionally tea I think.
I just can't get into the smoky flavor of this tea. It's not unpleasant, exactly, but just not what I'm looking for in a cup of tea
Interesting is the word I would use! Smells just like a bonfire. Good name. Has a mellow taste. For me my 2nd cup was lighter so better. Everyone should try it.
My lifelong goal of fire eating has now been achieved. This tea smells as smokey as it tastes and has almost a burning aftertaste. My cup is a beautiful red color too ~
CommuniTEA sample: 5 min @ 212 F. This was an interesting blend. I really like lapsang souchong, and the smokiness works well with a lot of the sweet ingredients in here. I'm not a huge fan of the hazelnut flavoring, but I feel like it did tie everything together, adding a certain toastiness to help join the ingredients. It smells like smoky pinewood, which makes sense, since lapsang souchong is smoked over pine. I found my second infusion a little bit more enjoyable than the first.
I'm sure it's fine, but the label wasn't clear on it containing black tea, which I cannot drink. Please label more clearly.
This tea is so incredibly hard to explain. I’ve never had anything quite like it. I’d recommend it for someone to try, but if a lingering floral smoke aftertaste doesn’t sound intriguing, it’s a pass. The smell of barbecue sauce comes to mind. Every time I have a drink I expect it to be so much less mellow than it actually is, and I’d bet that with marshmallow and chocolate flavor added this would be an incredible s’mores blend.
Bonfire, I thought. ?? I thought. Well it proved to me you can put a bonfire taste in a cup of tea. I find this tea very satisfying. I have elevated this to a 5 star experience and added it to auto delivery. I don't want to sad this fall that I am out. Just wonderful for a cool weather or whenever I need something amazing.
One of my new favorites! This blend is so unique I’ve never tasted anything like it before! It really does evoke a bonfire in that it has a smokiness to it in the best way. Love that it is only trace caffeine so i can have it at night.
This is so good very fruity to me. I would buy this again. You will love this.
Smoky, mysterious, relaxing. Beautiful notes all work well together for the Perfect fall tea.
This is one of my favorites. I love the smokey, orange, chocolately flavor. I can usually get three steepings, with the chocolate flavors coming out more each time.
I love this tea; slightly smokey and perfect for a damp, spring day. I usually drink this in the afternoon when I get home from walking.
A nice, full flavor that definitely creates a cozy vibe!
Not a fan, too strongly savory. But if you like strong smoky tea try this!
I can’t…. It tastes so savory. To me personally, this tea belongs as a base to make rice, or marinate a meat.
The name is a pretty good indication of the taste. It has a very smokey nature to it that was a miss with the one who wanted it. So if you're looking for a smokey black tea, this is a good choice.
Scent: Smokey lapsang souchong and hazelnut are the first thing I get, then the spicy citrus mixture.
Taste: Nice. Warm, spicy, sweet. Yummy cold weather tea.
LOVE this tea, it’s got this natural smokiness to it that makes the whole room smell like a late fall campfire, and the flavor is amazing! I thought it would be too smoky in flavor but no it’s got a rich berry undertone to it as well
This is a great tea for fall and winter with it's smokey undertones reminiscent of roasting marshmallows and s'mores.
Delicious and comforting. Sit by the fire and party with your bonfire tea
I underestimated how smokey this tea would be. If you really enjoy Lapsang Souchong tea, I'm confident you'll love this. I'm glad I got a sample because it turns out it isn't for me, however!
Pretty good; it has a nice smokey taste. It's very good.
This one really missed the mark. My pallet was overwhelmed with a real smoky flavor. It smelled just like a bonfire, but sadly, it tasted like one too.
Very interesting aroma and taste, the more we try it, the more we love it. Now we stock up on it every fall
