Blood Orange Customer Reviews

Deep vibrant color and sweet flavor. Hearty with a good balance of orange peel dryness and fruit juiciness.

Very refreshing ice tea! I have not (yet) tried it as a hot tea as I really love it iced!

This is an amazing combination. Love the flavor

A nice bright tea. The orange flavor really comes through.

Nice citrus flavor that is slightly sweet on its own. Really good iced with a little agave instead of sugar. Fun color over ice.

Definitely not bad. I sort of wish it were a bit on the tangier side, but I do enjoy a nice glass of this iced and lightly sweetened.

this was delightfully refreshing and filled with strong citrus notes!

I love fruit teas! This one is really good cold brewed overnight. It is a little tart, but a little sweetener will balance that well!

This was a very tasty tea. It was refreshing after an evening dinner and desert with friends. The orange aroma when I opened the package was heavenly. I brewed for 10 minutes, and then such a sweet orange taste. If you added cream it might be like a creamsicle.

A tangy treat for the tongue. I love the aroma too. I like it both by itself and in a blend but always iced.

CommuniTEA portion: Cold brewed for 10 hours. Beautiful color! Nice taste of obvious orange. Not too tart. Nice refreshing blend, especially for summer.

This juicy sip begins with a bright pop of hibiscus, which pairs perfectly with the rich orange flavor that follows. Highly recommend for orange lovers - the hibiscus pairs perfectly!

I cold brewed this all day today because I forgot to set it up last night. My husband and I are enjoying a no-caffeine drink this evening. I found it a little tart because of the hibiscus but my husband likes the tartness. We both agree it’s a refreshing drink. Cheers!

CommuniTEA 6/4/22: This is one of The herbal Blends that I've only ever had cold oh, I've tried it both hot poured over ice and cold brewed. Tonight I decided to drink it hot. And I loved it.I think it's great either way, but the hot tones down a lot of the bitterness you get from the cold brew Orange.

This tea is so good cold brewed. The orange flavor is bold and bright. Very refreshing!

There's no orange flavor in this at all. It's totally dominated by hibiscus, which makes it really sour and vegetal. No depth or complexity of flavor, just tartness and disappointment. I know blood oranges are tart (I love them for that reason), but there's got to be a better way to capture this flavor than by throwing a ton of hibiscus in it. If you like hibiscus, this has plenty of it. I don't.

Tart, tangy, and oh so delicious! I cold brewed today's sample and it's perfect. I will be adding this to my wishlist to enjoy as is and in a myriad of blends with other flavors.

I've had blood orange before and thought it was only okay as a hot tea, so I decided to try it as a cold brew. It is a bit better this way, and it is nice and refreshing, but I'm afraid it just isn't my cup of tea. The flavor is too weak and watery for me.

Delightfully tart and sweet, and produces a lovely red colored liquid on brewing. Fantastic hot, and also very refreshing when iced.

Dry aroma aroma reminds me of tang powder drink as a kid. I brewed this hot then cooled it down and drank over ice. Wow! Delicious! I am surprised I have not tasted this herbal before now but it is going on my shopping list.

I see why this is a BLOOD orange tea - it brews into a lovely bright red. It tastes mostly like orange, but it also had an unexpected tartness I quite like.

Today's CommuniTEA is Blood Orange (6-4-22). Amusingly, it came in an Orange Rooibos packet (the ingredients on the back); BUT upon opening the packet, everything for Blood Orange appeared to be there. I added some orange peels, extra hibiscus, extra rose hips, sourwood honey, and ice. It is SUPER delicious! It is tart, sweet, and very orangey! I can't get enough of it! I would highly recommend this tea!

This tea has a strong refreshing orange taste - just like biting into a ripe orange. Also, from being cold brewed I don't really get any tartness from the hibiscus, just a nice beautiful red color. (Cold-brewed)

Great herbal infusion iced tea, currently my favorite. The balanced flavors come through strong with no bitterness. Love the beautiful color of the tea. Really enjoy this in the summer heat, I usually add twice the water to make a refreshing light summer tea. It is also good cold brewed over night.

This is a staple in my tea collection. It adds wonderful fruity goodness to any tea and tastes great hot or cold brewed. I love this mixed with spicy chais, Earl Greys, and just about any black tea. mmmmm!
6/4/2022 - This tea is still a staple in my tea stash! It adds just the right amount of Orange goodness to any basic tea. I love mixing this tea with other fruit-y herbals from Adagio like kona pineapple, dewy cherry, berry blues, etc and brew with a basic black or oolong tea. Comes out so good!

Updated CommuniTea June 2022: Still one of my fave fruit teas!

Wonderful orange smell upon opening the package. Strong orange flavor and a bright orange color once brewed. Refreshing tea that is really great iced.

This is a deliciously juicy quite beautiful orange/hibiscus herbal tea. I can only pick up on the orange and hibiscus flavors. This blend hibiscus tart strong, especially if it is steeped the whole 10 min (or even cold steeped overnight). I prefer this blend iced or in a blend with raw coconut sugar. It seems to be more orange forward having less hibiscus when sweetener is added, but it is more hibiscus forward and less of the orange flavor when no sweetener is added. It's a nice juicy tea to enjoy iced on a hot summer day! 5 min @195

UPDATED from 9/2/21: This is one great herbal tea, especially if you like tart flavors. The smell of the tea when opened was so citrusy and fresh smelling. It steeps into a clar, blood red color. The tea tastes better than the actual fruit. Adding ½ teaspoon of stevia sweetener evn made it better. After cooling it down, and adding ice - the flavors really came through! It is so delicious and refreshing to drink. As an herbal you can drink it all day long, HOWEVER - the tea is gone too quickly and it DOES NOT steep well a second time! The positive effects of Blood Orange on the body make this a great choice to have. (10 min @ 212ºF + sweetener).

A bright and crisp tea that gives a bit of zing to the start of the day. The orange flavor blends nicely with the rooibos and doesn’t lose anything in the mix. I found I enjoyed this more after letting it rest for just a few minutes to take away a bit of the tang.
