Blood Orange Customer Reviews

Deep vibrant color and sweet flavor. Hearty with a good balance of orange peel dryness and fruit juiciness.

★★★★☆

Tastes good, but requires more than 1 tsp to really harness the blood orange flavor. Also consider a longer steep time, 5-10 minutes to get more of this effect. I actually used this tea to blend with other teas and it worked fairly well to add a fruity citrus flavor. Recommend trying a sample before you commit.

★★★★★

I do not usually like orange, but this has a very nice flavor. The orange comes in on the back side without being overpowering. I am glad I tried this one, a very pleasant surprise!

★★★★★

This tea is amazing. I blend with with a simple black tea (Ceylon Sonata) or just have it on its own. Be careful not to put too much tea into the brew -- the taste grows exponentially with amount added. This tea is amazing iced as well.

★★★★☆

I enjoyed this hot, but think it would be great served iced, too.

★★★★★

It has a subtle tartness to it (and a gorgeous color) that can be enjoyed alone or brewed with green or white tea to enhance their flavors.

★★★★★

I've never really enjoyed 100% fruit teas before. They're usually too strong and tart. But this is an exception. Very smooth and sweet with just enough tart to give you a good kick. I brew this at 212 degrees for 10 minutes for the most flavor. I love it best hot but it isn't bad iced either. I would LOVE to see Adagio add some cinnamon, clove, and other spices to this to make a blood orange chai. It would be amazing!

Smells amazing,a little strong on its own. We like it mixed with the vanilla rooibos.

★★★★☆

Not my favorite fruit tea, I prefer the berry blends, but still good!

★★★★★

Fruity deliciousness...tastes like sangria. In fact, I'm thinking of trying it in a homemade sangria. This is definitely one to buy a bigger quantity of, as I believe it will be fantastic iced!

My first delve into herbal tea was a success with this blood orange tea! I love it with lots of sugar to really enhance the orange flavor. Just make sure you brew it at boiling temperature, otherwise it'll take forever and a day to brew!

Love the deep, sweet citrus flavor. Wonderful after dinner!

★★★★☆

Sharp and herby without being overwhelming. Not necessarily a tea you'd want to drink a lot of all at once, but when you're feeling fruity, this is a great choice.

★★★★☆

I LOVE orange flavored teas and this is one of my favorites. Very interesting flavor. Not sweet but not too tart.

★★★★★

My favorite herbal tea. Ever. Excellent blood orange flavor, not too sweet, just perfect!

★★★★★

Amazing solid and tangy orange flavor. It was weak the first time but using the same set and brewing a second time really brought out the flavor.

★★★★☆

Gave this as part of a gift, the recipient was very pleased.

★★★★☆

This isn't the best blood orange tea I've had, but still rather good. Would probably be good with some cream or vanilla tea.

Very good herbal tea. Fruity flavor is very enjoyable. May be a bit too tart if made strong.

★★★★★

I haven't made this at home yet, but was in the Naperville store and we sampled it there. Instant winner! No bitterness - just lovely, natural orange taste - not too sweet like some organge can be.

★★★★☆

It tastes good, but it kinda tastes weird, like something I have never tasted before. I am going to mix this with my sleeping dragon and see how that turns out

★★★★★

I wasn't sure about this tea when I ordered it, but it's proven to be just lovely when I want a bit of a pep without any caffeine. Sweet, a bit tart and goes lovely with some honey.

★★★★☆

For an herbal tea, I found this to be very enjoyable and tasty.

★★★★☆

No that bad but not quite what i expected from the blend

★★★★★

Ok, just smell this and tell me this isn't citrus and tea at its finest.

★★★★★

I had tried another company's blood orange tea (they recently discontinued it) and found this one to be extremely enjoyable.

Loved this. Great as the weather is getting colder outside in the evenings.

★★★★★

A great herbal tea! One of my new favorites. It's sweet but yet tart. I feel like I'm eating an orange!

★★★★★

Tasty both hot and cold! I ordered a sampler to try it out and will definitely order a bigger size in the future. I don't care for plain hibiscus but this combination is amazing!

★★★★★

This is my favorite of the Adagio tea's I've tried thus far. I feel like eating the little pieces once I finish a cup, and sometimes I do.

★★★☆☆

I was not a huge fan of the orange. For some reason the taste struck me as a bit superficial without any real depth but I think I may not have steeped it long enough..

Overall pleasant taste, however the teabags are a little light in flavor. If I had the loose tea, I could just add more to get the deeper flavor I'm looking for in an herbal tea. This was very surprising, I love the convenience of the teabags at work, and in the past I have found no problem with the amount of tea in the bags.If I buy again, it will definitely be in loose tea form.

My 6-year old daughter's favorite tea. Also great mixed with yerba matte. Has a nice orange flavor, not artificial like some 'fruit' teas.

Be careful of steeping too long, as it can become quite sour as a result. Otherwise, this is a great tea to mix (as others have mentioned). I mixed it with pomegrante, apple, and lemonade flavored teas and it's wonderful that way.

This is a flavorful citrus tea that isn't too sour.

This is a great tea for mixing. The smell is just to die for. I love it with rooibos but look forward to trying it with some greens and blacks.

I was really looking forward to this herbal tea, but the taste was terrible. The smell when I opened the bag was musty and did not improve with brewing.

I have loved blood oranges for a long time! There are several blood orange trees outside of the school I went to, and they were always such a pleasure to eat! Drinking this tea does bring some of that back, which is very pleasant. Unfortunately, it is a little weaker in flavor than I expected, but maybe I did not steep it long enough... So I would recommend not rushing the steep time in your anxiousness to drink it!

★★★★★

Just an overall nice treat, the blood orange flavor is really well done. I love this one in the evening as it's caffiene free.

★★★★★

Good for when I just want a cup of orange, or even just for the smell, delish

★★★★★

One of my favorite teas to drink in the evening. Great citrus flavor and a deep red color

★★★★★

Loved the blood orange so much that I sent it as a gift twice. It's a perfect citrus blend that's not overly sweet. It reminded me of the sangria blend I tried a long time ago, but haven't seen on the site.

★★★★★

This is by far one of the best teas on the site. It has a fuller, richer flavor than just regular orange, and it is very satisfying. If you like your orange teas to taste like you're biting straight into the fruit, this is the one for you.

★★★★★

So yummy and delicious. I love starting my day with this or even ending a nice quiet night at home. Curl up with a book and I'm all set.

★★★★☆

Very flavorful and delicious hot or cold. Add some sweetener to make it the perfect light orange drink.

★★★☆☆

kind of sour... blends well with yerba mate to take the bitter edge off
