Blood Orange Customer Reviews

Deep vibrant color and sweet flavor. Hearty with a good balance of orange peel dryness and fruit juiciness.

Wonderful orange flavor in typical Adagio fashion - awesome!

This is really good with some sugar or by itself. Its is really orange-y. If you love oranges or blood oranges it is perfect for you. You can smell the oranges right out of the bag, but just a caution: let the tea breathe for a minute before you really take in the scent. Right after opening it is really strong and tends to smell a little chemically for a few seconds. After that though. It is the perfect tea to wake you up!

This tea is very relaxing. I love the citrus-y smell and the light taste. I like my tea sweet, but this one is not bitter, and I drink it at night without any sugar. It's a beautiful one to wind your day down with, and the smell is guaranteed to make you smile

I get mainly hibiscus with a bit or citrus, love this iced with some sugar

★★★★☆

I am not usually a fan of fruit flavored teas, I almost always stick with jasmine or jade green teas, but I thought I would give something different a try. I am so glad that I did! This tea is smells amazing and looks just beautiful with the big pieces of oranges. I highly recommend giving this tea a try!

Heavy notes of orange with some light floral undertones. Fairly acidic. Needs some sugar to coax the full flavor out.

★★★★☆

Very potent and enjoyable. Very acidic, watch what containers you place it in.

I was very unprepared for the sweetness. Usually I'm a huge fan of unsweetened black teas, so this was a step outside of my comfort zone. However, it was a very good tea, and I enjoyed it hot, as well as iced.

One of my new favorites, I was worried at first that it might be a little bitter (as orange rinds can sometimes be) but I was pleasantly surprised when it was actually a little bit sweet!

★★★★★

I had to reorder after blowing through my first 4 oz tin in a few weeks. I've used it by itself or to flavor a black tea, or mix with another herbal tea. The only thing you should be leery of is that you'll become addicted. Adagio has great teas and service.

★★★★☆

Perfect tea. Tastes delicious and I can share it with my Mormon friend.

Definitely a new favourite for me - this sort of tea was a new one for me, and the thought of orange in my tea was a bit off putting at first, but once I tried it I immediately fell in love. Just the right amount of flavour and a gorgeous colour.

★★★★☆

I got this tea for my dad, and he enjoyed it. Orange citrus flavor proved his ages-old claim: 'Tea is a citrus beverage!' Silly dad.

a very tasty herbal tea, especially the orange flavor

★★★★★

This is probably my favorite herbal tea. It has a nice aroma, and the perfect amount of tartness. It's great hot or cold. If you're looking for a unique tea, I'd recommend this one!

★★★★★

I didn't like it at first, but after increasing the amount of tea to 2 tsp (or one very heaping tsp), it was very tasty. This is my favorite tea to make iced.

★★★★☆

Great in iced teas, which is what I bought it for, but I think it needs to be blended with something else for a really good iced tea. Don't know that I'd drink it hot.

★★★★★

This tea tastes amazing. I'm not usually into fruit teas because they tend to taste fake and too sweet, but this one is perfect. I seriously love this flavour now.

★★★★☆

I got this herbal mostly for blending. Not something I'd really drink by itself, but I'm interested to play with this and mix with other flavors. :D

Great citrus flavor without any sweeteners. Would also be great iced

★★★☆☆

This is another tea where I wish the smell had lived up to the taste. Smelled great and was a really beautiful color. But the taste just lacked and neither honey or sugar did much to enhance it sadly. Brewing it longer I didn't find helped much either.

I love it. Great orange citrus flavor. Wasn't sure what to expect but it's great!

I love this as an iced tea. LOVE. I brew up a big pot every few days, pour it into a pitcher, and stick it in the fridge. Just a spoonful of sugar is enough to sweeten the whole pitcher. I'm sure it would also make an excellent mixer for coconut rum.

Recommend steeping this longer then you would for a typical herbal. Nice purple color and damn tasty.

★★★★★

Had this during a tasting, it was delicious warm and fantastic iced.

★★★★☆

Nice citrus taste. Not too strong or overwhelming.

★★★★☆

Good on its own. But much better added in blend.

This tea was rich and sweet with a beautiful color, that got to nearly a dark maroon!

★★★★★

For an herbal tea this is very flavorful and enjoyable. Very orangy and juicy in my mouth. I like it for an evening drink while watching TV. Heartily recommend for anyone who likes orange.

★★★★☆

It has a nice tartness to it, with a really excellent not-quite-pink, not-quite-orange coloring that I find is fantastic.

★★★★★

surprisingly nice for a v super fruity drink. best served iced.

★★★★☆

The description pretty much sums it up. Clean and refreshing. Good to break up my typical black tea drinking.

★★★★★

Blood Orange is what got me hooked to tea, and what introduced me to Adagio. They ship fast and give a personalized experience that I haven't seen from a company in a long time. Love all of it.

★★★★☆

Not real fond of this on its own, but would be very delicious blended with other teas. It'd probably be good iced.

This tea was a little bitter for me, but my boyfriend liked it quite a bit. We both preferred it iced as opposed to hot.

I love using my individual tea filters. They're quick and easy to use. I especially like that they are long enough so that the leaves stay in the bag and the top of the bag stays dry while steeping.

★★★☆☆

a bit weak in my opinion, but it smells wonderful and I imagine it's good iced.

★★★★☆

I really wanted to love this tea since blood orange is one of my favorite flavors. Sadly, this was like drinking hot kool aid, which didn't really appeal to me. I will say it was fabulous iced, hence the rating, but I don't think I'd repurchase.

★★★★★

I was never a huge fan of orange flavored drinks, but this tea changed my mind. Very flavorful, good hot or cold. Yummy!!

★★★★★

I just recently tried this tea, and I've got to say it's rather lovely. I didn't like it hot as much as I did iced, thought it's still amazing either way. I only bought a sample to try it, but sadly it wasn't enough! Bought more already!

★★★★☆

A little sweet, but it will definitely be nice and refreshing on cooler spring days and such.

★★★★☆

I was blown away by how fragrant and flavourful this tea is! Who needs to actually eat oranges when you can drink this instead.

★★☆☆☆

Not listed in the ingredients there are natural (fake) flavors. It smells fake.
Buyers beware, their berry, mango, apple fruit teas have natural flavors added, if you're not used to sodas and vitamin waters, they smell terrible.

★★★★★

Absolutely amazing, possibly my new favorite! Once again I'm very happy with your company

★☆☆☆☆

Smells like decayed fruit and tastes like rotten oranges... I'd probably pass on this one. It takes forever to brew and the turnout is less than desirable.

I love the scent and flavor of anything 'blood orange' but this smelled like that fruity cereal 'Fruity Pebbles' It tasted pretty alright though, but not like blood orange.

★★★★★

It is a very refreshing, but subtle flavor, very nice tea.

I don't know if it's just me but this tea will not brew properly for me and it ends up tasting like orange water every time I try. Ugh. But it stands a chance of being good at least.

I really enjoyed this tea. It has a nice blood orange smell and taste. I also like that since its an herbal it doesn't have any caffeine so I can drink it any time I want. I am going to try it mixed with an oolong or green tea next. I will be reordering this tea and making it a permanent part of my tea collection

My favorite of the herbal fruit teas. I find that hibiscus (a staple in fruit teas) tend to be pretty overpowering, but here the orange balances out well with it.
