Blood Orange Customer Reviews

Deep vibrant color and sweet flavor. Hearty with a good balance of orange peel dryness and fruit juiciness.

★★★☆☆

I was not a huge fan of this tea. It wasn't as heavy a tea as I expected, and usually with anything blood orange-flavored I expect a but more tartness to it, but it wasn't terrible by any means. The flavor just wasn't full enough for me, and it left my mouth feeling a bit dry.

But it was just a sample, and I'll finish it no problem. Maybe fruity herbal teas just aren't my thing, but I can see someone who likes lighter tea enjoying this.

★★★★★

I love citrus and this was no disappointment. It's like drinking an orange. The cold brew bags were great fun and as a warm tea this is amazing.

★★★★☆

Very sweet, which is how I like my tea. It is a little bit weak though. I would buy again.

★★★☆☆

A little too strong with the blood orange flavor for me.

★★★★★

truly enjoy the iced version of this tea drink it year around - refreshing

★★★★☆

This tea was ok a little on the bitter side I like to add lemon or lime to my tea, and with the addition it took a bit of sugar to cut the tartness.

★★★★★

The smell of this tea is heavenly. The taste is very unique, and I find that it doesn't pair well with eating really anything. Enjoyed on its own, though, it's wonderful!

★★★★☆

Yummy - like this for a caffeine free warm up in the afternoons. My kids have enjoyed it too.

★★★★★

Very nice flavorful tea that's smooth and refreshing. I've enjoyed this tea both hot and cold. The aroma it produces is uplifting.

★★★★★

This tea is FANTASTIC. I don't usually go for herbal teas, but this has such a bright, tangy citrus flavor that I love it. It's perfectly sweet without adding any sweetener. Could definitely take the place of a cup of OJ in the morning.

★★★★★

Taste great plain but FANTASTIC with some honey in it!

★★★★☆

So yummy in the winter. I've love the smooth flavor and there is not need for sugar.

★★★★☆

A very flavorful herbal blend, beautiful and fragrant. The end result tends to be a bit tart, so some may prefer using less than the standard teaspoon full per cup.

★★★★☆

Okay, so definitely follow what other reviewers have suggested about using a whole heaping tablespoon in place of the usual teaspoon per 8oz preparation. I made the unfortunate mistake of brewing a few cups using the tsp allotment, changing the brewing time each way, and kept being dismayed that the flavor just wasn't there. Finally, i came back here, browsed the reviews and steeped 2 heaping tbsp in a 16oz pot using fresh boiling water for 10 min...and ahhh, with a little sugar it was bliss. Would recommend and order again. There's no overarching 'artificial' taste and I suspect it would blend well with black teas.

The blood orange taste is very similar to actual blood oranges. Bonus of no caffeine versus other blood orange teas with a black base.

★★★★★

This is one of my absolute favorites. It has a very bright citrus flavor that is perfect for mixes, or just on its own. I like it at night, since it is herbal and doesn't contain any caffeine. This is one I plan on keeping stocked all the time.

This tea is soothing when drink warm with a dash of honey. I have not try it as iced, but I'm sure it will also be good. Recommended.

★★★★★

This is my new favorite fruit tea. It has a deeper flavor than just regular orange and is great for casual tea drinkers who don't want anything bitter, so share with your friends!

★★★★★

I really wasn't sure what to expect with this tea when I received a sample. It was a refreshing change and I will order this when I want a good herbal tea to drink to relax with a book at night.

★★★☆☆

The sweetness was sometimes a bit too saccharine, and overpowering. It might be better to blend with a subtler tea to make it more mild. Better iced than hot.

★★★★★

I really loved this tea ^_^!!! The aroma of orange alone takes me in but once i tried it i was completely in love. For me, this is the perfect morning tea, very crisp in flavor with a natural sweetness underlying the orange. Perfect for a jump start to the day ^_^

This was recommended by my boyfriend - now it is one of my favorite.

★★★★☆

This was a little more hibiscus-y than I expected, but overall it's quite good. I tried it hot, but I think it would also make a very good iced tea.

★★★★★

Love its taste. If you think that orange is good, this will awaken your taste buds

★★★★★

My husband is the one who actually drinks this tea. He likes to mix it with Earl Grey, and he says they blend very well.

★★★☆☆

Smells amazing in the bag. Did not care for it hot, the orange was overpowering. I mixed with rooibos vanilla and it tasted a bit better. I think I'll try it iced and see how that goes.

orange I wanted and orange I got. No doubt about it and in a very nice tea flavored format.

★★★★★

I love this tea, particularly at the onset of a cold. Careful not to brew too long or the citrus can become bitter and overpowering. Its fantastic unaltered, and even better with just a little bit of sugar.

★★★★★

Mmmmmm... delicious!

★★★★★

Another favorite of mine. Reminds me of the shores of the Costa del Sol

★★★★★

This is excellent. Everything I hoped it would be. The aroma makes you think you just peeled a juicy orange. I only have one flavored tea I like to drink to switch things up, this one now makes 2. Off to brew another cup.

★☆☆☆☆

I did not like this tea at all. I drank 1 cup and dumped the rest out. The raw tea smelled amazing unsteeped, but I didn't enjoy it.

★★★★★

This is a great citrus flavored tea with a rich orange flavor. Good to drink anytime.

I love orange. This was such a disappointment. Have to use 3 times as much just to get a true orange flavor. Just isn't for me.

★★★☆☆

It's not bad, but it doesn't really taste very much like oranges. Not what I was expecting. I will not buy this one again.

★★★★☆

This is delightfully tart, with a full orange flavor. It's not overly sweet, which is exactly what I was looking for. If you're aiming for a sweeter, lighter orange taste, I'd recommend a shorter steeping time and some honey. This is a perfect orange cuppa!

I brewed this for 10 minutes, at the highest temp on my UtiliTEA kettle, then made it into an iced tea. It is really yummy. I think it would be perfect mixed with a green tea.

I add this to just about everything. It is great and the rosehips are supposed to have great health benefits.

now who doesn't like blood orange just the right amount

★★★★★

I wasn't sure what to expect with this tea, because I rarely buy fruit teas, but I was happily surprised. The flavor was very distinctly and pleasantly that of blood orange (not generically 'citrus,' like many such teas tend to be) and wonderfully sweet (not at all sour or bitter). Although I did brew it hot with some rock sugar, I feel that it could certainly stand on its own without the sweetener. Both my boyfriend and I enjoyed our pot down to the last drop, and I can't wait to get more! Next up: iced blood orange tea!

★★★★☆

Haven't tried it yet, but I bet it is wonderful! Kudos!

★★★★★

blood orange is good hot or cold, it great on a hot afternoon when you need to cool off.

★★☆☆☆

There's something in this tea that I don't really like.

★★★★☆

You may be thinking, as I would, 'Oh, only 4/5. That's too bad I was going to consider buying this.' Welllll, it's true. It's only 4/5 in my opinion. Yet, I should put the disclaimer that I do NOT like orange or orange flavour! I bought this after reading some reviews saying that the blood orange made a big difference compared to regular orange.

This is very true! I would have given regular orange tea probably a 1.5/5 if I had tried it. The blood orange tea, however, provides a darker, more mature orange flavour that isn't as pungent or assaulting as a regular orange.

So, while I am still not a huge fan of it, it exceeded my expectations (which were set pretty low). If you like orange, I would highly encourage you to order this tea for yourself!

★★★☆☆

Very fruity and bright, though it gets bitter if left alone too long. Makes brilliant iced tea.

I love this tea. It has a juicy flavor, full aroma and bright color

★★★★★

The orange really stands out in the flavor and can come across as slightly bitter. It is also very tart but with sugar this comes off as a warm sweet orange with none of the stickiness and only a slight tartness. Its not overwhelming at all and has a nice refreshing taste to it.
