This is a favorite tea of mine and I usually drink it with dessert in the evening because of the no caffeine feature. Today I am drinking it with a Blackberry Buttermilk muffin at breakfast time and it is divine. I steeped once at 212 degrees for almost 10 minutes (I was impatient!).
This wasn’t as fruity or cloying as I expected, which is a good thing. It was a good tea, but I couldn’t help feel it was missing something.
5/12/2021 - I really wanted to love this tea, but for me the cream flavoring gave it an odd smell and artificial taste. Lots of other tea lovers at Adagio like this one, so I'm putting it down to this one not being my cup of tea. The berry flavor is nice...but the cream portion just ruined it for me. Might be just the thing for someone else though!
3/24/2022 - I'm changing my mind a bit on this tea. I've upped my brewing skills somewhat over the past year, and I know how to brew almost anything to fit in with my taste in tea. I don't enjoy the 'creme flavoring'...went into it knowing this, so gave the fruit a bit of a boost with a thin slice of fresh lemon. Brewed 212, 10 minutes. Now the fruit is totally forward and the creme is just a background flavor. Enjoyed this tea...a bit sweeter than wild strawberry, dewy cherry or the other fruit tisanes. Nice hot -- bet it's wonderful cold brewed! And this would definitely be a nice pairing with a fruity black tea or oolong! Upping stars from 3 to 5.
This tart, fruity tea brews up to a beautiful ruby color. It is good hot or iced, but I find it best iced with a little tiny bit of sugar added to balance the tartness. Delicious!

Berry Crème Compote brews into a beautiful red, tart tea. I love the hibiscus. For maximum flavor, I steep it for at least 10 minutes, rather than try to get two weaker cups out of it.
Yummy! Very Delicious!! I love the burst of 'Crazy' tasting burst of fruit. The tea taste like assorted Jolly Ranchers.. Fruit heaven with a touch of cream. :)
This tea begins with the amazing aroma of berries. Next you get the beautiful raspberry color of the tea. Finally, the taste of the tea - Very Berry and a bit tart but in a good way. I didn’t really notice the cream. Next time I’ll add some extra cream. Highly recommend.
Today’s CommuniTEA packet seemed to have a good amount of cream which mellows out the tartness. However it still needs a bit a sugar. But don’t put too much!!

This is a delicious berry tea with a hint of cream flavoring. Was so excited to be able to order a large loose leaf bag of this one. Wish it also came in teabags so I could share it with others in my family!
This is a good herbal tea, but there are other herbal blends I would probably choose before this one. Glad I tried it, but I don't feel the need to stock up on it.

Wowza I fell in love with Berry Creme Compote on the first sip! So rich, full bodied, doesn't need any additional sweetener, excellent hot and cold brewed!

I honestly wish I could give this tea more than 5 stars. I have purchased quite a few teas from Adagio, and this one is by far my favorite. It’s full of berry flavor, but mellowed out by the cream. It’s sweet at first, with a slightly tart aftertaste. Will be repurchasing again and again.

I wanted to love this tea, but I didn't and I can't put my fingers on why. I like the components, but it just didn't do it for me.
This tea is exactly what you would expect from its description. The scent from the package is fruity and creamy. The tartness of the berries is undercut by the vanilla and cream flavors, blending into a wonderful, fruity dessert tea. If you enjoy berry tarts, you'll appreciate this blend.
A great taste of summer. Very little caffeine, so it is great all day.
this tea is tasty, but a bit mild for me. i like it mixed 1:1 with gunpowder, my favorite tea on this website, which makes for a tea that tastes a lot like a smokey berry pie

A good fruity tea. Tart - all of that hibiscus and rose hips - but I could taste the berries too. If you like rose hip and hibiscus fruit blends this one is well done.
I have discovered that I love any tea that has creme in it. The scent and the flavour, combined with the fruitiness of this tea, is delicious. I'm not sure what the cornflowers added to the mix; however, I don't have a strong sense of smell or taste, so that very likely affected it (that is also why I have to steep my tea for 30 minutes or more in order to get it to a strength I like). This tea did not need sweetener.
This is dessert in a cup. Add some stevia and it's fantastic iced.

I received this as a sampler and will definitely be ordering a bigger bag in my next order. I brewed this as one of my first iced teas in my new adagio airtight pitcher. I steeped it overnight with cold filtered water, and it is delicious. I think this will be added to my lineup of main herbal teas that I can enjoy year round!

A fruity tea with a hint of cream flavor. Another one that makes for a really good iced tea, but doesn't taste as good when hot.
Perfect for a creamy berry summer sweet tea, it needs longer steeping and more tea in the pot to really reach its flavor. I liked it mixed with a little Ceylon Sonata to give the herbal tea more complexity.
This tea was a bit tart and hibiscus-heavy for me. I didn t taste the cream, and the berries were quite mild. It s fun to have a special spring tea and is worth trying once or twice. I might enjoy it mixed with something else, or picking out the hibiscus leaves, but at that point I m no longer enjoying the tea, just trying to salvage the experience.
I really like this tea. If you're unsure, of course, just stick with the sample first. What I like to do is add just a smidge of peppermint tea and steep it for around 5 minutes in stead of 3. I can't wait until next spring to get some more.
I don't want to say this tea was bad, because it tastes exactly like it says it will, but if drinking compote doesn't sound pleasant- then you should probably skip this one.
I am not a fan of herbal teas, usually too bitter or just not enough flavor. This one is a pleasant surprise. Bursting with flavor that tastes good even without sweetener. But still herbal.
