This tea was ok. I'm not a big fan of berry teas and this was not my favorite.
Just like the blues, this cup's got soul. Smooth, slightly tart, with sweetness like fresh blueberry pie.

This tea was ok. I'm not a big fan of berry teas and this was not my favorite.
Delightful; little sweet, little tart, full of flavor--I liked it
Very blue berry vibes. I will have to get a bigger sample as my communitea sample was a little too small for a really good taste. I mixed it with some other fruity teas and drank it iced.
I was really looking forward to this blend as I love, love, love blueberry tea and most anything with blueberry added. Maybe it was just my CommuniTEA packet, but this was extremely tart and had such a bite to it! I let it cool, and the fruity flavours came out somewhat, but it was still an almost sour drink every time. Enjoyable, better as it cools [or is cold-brewed], but surprisingly puckering.
This was a nice fruity drink. I enjoyed the taste of it.
This is a yummy berry flavored fruity tisane. The hibiscus flavors wasn't strong to me but then again i don't mind a little hibiscus flavor. I had mine cold brewed and it was a deliciously refreshing fruity cup.
6/9/2021: This is a staple favorite of mine...I love it so much I bought it in a tin and plan to refill when it runs low. I have even been known to sneak a bit of this into my coffee brewer when making a pot of coffee to add a splash of blueberry. Smells wonderful, tastes great...love it!! But then I love most, if not all, of the dried fruit blends from Adagio...wild strawberry, blood orange, pina colada, kona pineapple and many others...Yum!
6/28/2023: Still a fruity favorite! I love this hot or cold, added to other teas, or I still sprinkle a bit into my coffee maker if I want a bit of blueberry pizazz added to my coffee. :)
Great fruity smell when I opened the packet, nice fruity taste with some tartness detracting from the fruit, wierd baby aspirin aftertaste. I’d really like to see some of these herbals made without the distracting rose hips and hibiscus.
So much strawberry and blueberry flavor in this tea. This would be lovely with sugar or on it's own. Hot or cold.
My first taste was brewing it hot and I did not care for it. Halfway through drinking it I put the remaining tea in the refrigerator hoping for a better outcome if it was chilled. I still did not care for it. It tastes artificial to me.
Lots of hibiscus! I liked this tea. The flavor wasn’t too light nor too strong.
JUNE 28, 2023: I noted the ingredients in this blend the night before, and since hibiscus is the first ingredient, I decided to set it up to cold brew due to the tartness of hibiscus. Unfortunately, the tea in my packet must have been heavy on the hibiscus. All I tasted was tartness with no expected flavor from the blueberries. I conclude that this is either due to personal preference (not a fan of unsweetened hibiscus) or that my individual packet somehow missed the blueberries. If you like to add sweeteners to your tea. This one would probably be a winner for you.

Berry blues isn’t quite as light and complex as Berry Compote, but it’s still very refreshing when iced. A great summer choice, and a nice alternative to sweetened fruit drinks.
Cold-steeping this CommuniTEA offering overnight was the right decision. Even with a cold preparation, my first sip still yielded a rather tart punch from the hibiscus. That said, it was also balanced by a sweet blueberry flavor. The balance is well done and a nice reflection of the nature of blueberries. Unfortunately, I am generally unimpressed with blueberry teas, but of the ones that I've sampled, this tisane is probably the most blueberry. It is definitely one to be enjoyed cold, though, in my opinion, if blueberry teas are your thing.
Enjoyed the berry aroma of this tea. The hibiscus was prominent for me. I do like hibiscus tea and the tartness it adds The blueberry was weak. I got a lot of apples in my sample and enjoyed their added sweetness and flavor. I drank this tea without sweetener.
Nice berry flavor that is a bit tart. Not an every day tea but solid. I prefer other Adagio herbal teas.
cold brewed this blend. The blueberry was present but not overpowering. I dislike rose but didn't notice it. Not one I'd buy but a nice blend.
Nice fruity red blend. Great served hot or iced. Would try again.
I think my palate is more sensitive than most to hibiscus...I don't mind it when it takes a back seat, but it so often seems to take over. In this case, that's all I seem to taste. I was really hoping to get more Blueberry here, and was a little disappointed. However, I think cold it could be really good. My 12 year old cousin said it was really yummy and tasted like berries to her!
I'm not a fan of the fruit tisanes with hibiscus. I just don't like sour tea. I must have gotten lucky today because my packet was scarce on hibiscus. The pucker factor was cut in half. However, the blueberry flavor did not live up to the enticing scent of the tea. The berry profile was a bit weak, it needed a pop of something other than rose hips or apple pieces.
In the bag: All ingredients are here in equal proportion.
On the nose (pre-steep): Blueberry is the main, so no surprises there. Hint of rose. Mild sugar. Clean nose feel.
On the nose (post-steep): Similar to pre-steep, though, as expected, the sugar has left.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Blueberry with a mild, tart accent.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): Blueberry remains the same. The sweetness helps to offset the tart notes.
Opinion: An okay blend. Not as tart as many other fruity herbals I've had, but still too sour to be tasty. I enjoyed the focus on blueberry, which I think is an underrated tea flavor.
Preparation: First steep 5 min, second steep 10 min. Both @ 212 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.
I decided to drink this tea cold. Great choice! I expected a puckering, tart flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by a gentle sweetness! Lovely.
Absolutely yummy. I drank it with little bit of monkfruit and poured over ice. Will add this to my wishlist.
This is a wonderfully tart and tangy berry blend. Great candidate for short steeps or cold brewing if you get overwhelmed by hibiscus, like I do. But I sampled it hot to get the full effect and noticed the blueberry growing stronger and the sourness subsiding as it cooled down. Like tasting a not-quite-ripe blueberry that punches you in the mouth with tartness, but you still get a hint of sweetness on the back end that makes it all worthwhile.
I don't much care for hibiscus tisanes while they are hot, for I enjoy cream in my hot teas, and the hibiscus blends curdles even my non-dairy cream, so I'll be hot brewing this one for 10 mins @ 212* F, tasting to see how much sweetener I need, then sticking it in the fridge until cold.
I'm enjoying the smell of 'berry blues' much more than the smell of 'berry crème compote', and I really enjoy the berry crème compote. So this is promising. Can hardly wait to taste it.
I took a sip while hot to determine how much sweetener to use, and it was pretty tasty while hot, but I'm super glad I chilled the entire serving because I'm loving this cold. The flavor is crisp, tart, and just lovely. I definitely prefer this one over the berry crème compote - even though, I do like bcc very much.
Started out brewing it at 212 like it said on the pouch. Flavor was there but somewhat weak. So I changed the brewing temp to 195, the flavors really started coming out. Will definitely put this on my shopping list. A very nice decaffeinated tea.
Could use less apple pieces. found more apple pieces than blueberries. Needs more Blueberries in it.
Very nice. Just enough sweetness to offset the tart berries but not too much. It is strong enough that I am betting this would be great as an iced tea as well -both beautiful and tasty.
This is perfect for anyone who loves a tart tea and/or a fruity tea. A perfect blend of berries. I've only had it hot so far, but I think it would be fantastic cold on a hot summer day.
March 23, 2023 UPDATE: I got another sample of this to try cold brewing it for my husband to add to his ever present giant cup of water for a bit of flavor. It wasn't quite strong enough to dilute. My original review was drinking it hot, and I was not particularly impressed. However, I poured the cold brew over ice, with just a bit of sugar, and it's delicious!
ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a nice, fruity tea. I thought I'd try it, even though I'm not a fan of blueberries. It's good. It has a mild citrus flavor, with a recognizable but not overwhelming blueberry taste. If you're a blueberry lover, you'll like it.
This was an amazingly awesome tea from the berry taste to the suttle hints of the other flavors definitely a fav
I love blending this with Wild Strawberry or Fruit Medley (with extra hibiscus) double strength for a refreshing iced tea, or as I like to call it “juice”
This is always a good fruity flavor I like to add to herbal mixes or just sprinkle a little bit into some green tea for extra flavor!
I'm enjoying the Berry Blues at night about an hour or so before bedtime. It settles my stomach, and I relax in the evening before bed. I found that at 185 to me it tastes a bit sweeter, but that could just be my thing. I'm only sweetening it with a little honey.
Solid berry taste, nothing special. A good cup, but there are others better, imo.
Update: makes great cold brew
A family favorite, my kids drank it by the pot. No caffeine but a well rounded flavor. Definitely follow directions in terms of time for a good brew.
the blueberry flavor of this tea is great, and the best thing about the flavor is that no additional sweetener is needed.
I absolutely loved Tiesta's blueberry hibiscus tea, so I took a chance and ordered the bulk bag of Berry Blues, and it was definitely worth it since this is even better. This is very sweet, and the sweet blueberry flavors tame the hibiscus tartness down. I'd be happy to drink this all day, no sweetener necessary. I don't really taste the apple until it cools, at which point it gets a sour apple taste to it. Keep it warm if that's not your thing. Be careful of how much you use - I have a 15oz mug and 1 teaspoon of this is very strong!
I actually really liked this portions pouch. It was really good. It reminded me of teavana Berry Kiwi Colada which I've been hunting down forever. So this was a major win in terms of sweet tartness. As a green girl, I'll definitely buy again
Brewed primarily as a cold tea. Has excellent fragrance and body, a touch of sweetener makes a great iced tea for warm days.
I ordered this and Fruit Medley at the same time and they're basically the same tea. It's a perfectly fine tea, though it has a weird flavor on the back end that I can't quite place. If you like blueberry, this one's for you.
This tea is a little sweeter than Berry blast. Great flavor and color.
I enjoyed this tea as a cold brew. It was very berry forward which was exactly what I was looking for.
Delicious cold brewed and iced! I love the hibiscus and blueberry combo
Very blueberry flavored. Nice and refreshing when iced.
Yummy and flavorful and perfect when iced. It was complex enough so that it didn't taste artificial.
Fruity, delicious frangrace, sweet, relaxing. I love it
A very simple tea but it’s naturally sweet. Passes as juice for my little one.
I steep longer for extra flavor.
The best blueberry tea there is! I also love the large tin it comes in.
I really liked this one! It's a bit tart, so I'd recommend some honey or other sweetener to mellow it out, but it's soooo good iced. Very refreshing.
Like the berry blues for iced tea, the flavor is yummy.
