I'm not usually a fan of herbal tea, and especially not lemongrass, but I bought my first bag a penultimate blue moon ago because I wanted to try peaflower tea and the Bella Luna Blue was the cheapest and most accessible way to. Boy am I glad I did! I just rebought the tea this past blue moon a few days ago, I couldn't risk running out! The tea has a beautiful fruity flavor that is present but not overwhelming. When you add lemon juice it holds up rather well against the strong flavor that comes with adding as much lemon as you need to to change it from blue to pink. I especially love that it's equally as tasty hot or iced. I love drinking it 'blue' as a hot tea and making various mixed drinks with it iced with lemon, but even just by itself it makes a perfect and refreshing iced tea for the dog days of summer. If you have any hesitancies about buying this tea, don't worry. It is worth every penny.
I can only handle lemongrass in small doses for some reason. I don’t mind it in the background in blends but wouldn’t drink it plain. So this is very lemongrass-forward, but it still works thanks to the blueberry flavor. I can’t drink it every day, but that’s okay since I want to save it for special occasions anyway. I enjoy this tea both for the lovely lemongrass flavor and for the novelty. This one is good both hot and cold. It tends to be very light if done as per directions so I tend to be a little heavy handed with the tea to get more flavor out of it. I also add a touch of sweetener to bring out the blueberry. I love adding this to lemonade and to other teas. It’s so much fun to be able to drink your experiments.
Nice herbal tea that is better cold than hot. Strong lemongrass flavor and is a refreshing summer drink.
This was a good tea, the blueberry and lemongrass were delicious. The real star of the show is the butterfly pea though, which gave a beautiful almost navy blue to my first cup and a royal blue to the second.
BEAUTIFUL INDIGO COLORING!! Just as mystical as the moon appears, as does this tea. The blueberry flavoring is comforting. The lemongrass gives me this sense of a hug as I glance into the night sky, watching the beauty that illuminates the night time. Simply wonderful❤️
How fun! Great tea for those of us that have kids and like to experiment with our food and drinks. Love watching the color changes and how each steep is a different color. We have a bag of pea flowers so we experiment with them often in food and drinks.
The tea is right in my flavor wheelhouse. I love citrusy teas. This tea is a wonderful lemon tea that is so comforting. The blueberry is mild, but comes forward a bit more with honey and as it cools. I tried some iced and really enjoyed it. I was so sad when my cup was gone. Steeped 212° for 7 mins. Able to steep x2 with 2nd steep a bit weaker, but still enjoyable.
I didn't like the smell of the dry ingredients, so that had me worried, but it smelled and tasted great after steeping. I love the blueberry and lemon flavor combo.
I really love the lemongrassy flavor of this tea! I think perhaps some dried blueberries would help with the blueberry flavor but the novelty and taste is worth it for a special occasion. The color changes will never get old!

I’ve actually tasted this tea back in 2019 sometime and failed to write a review. So I kinda know what to expect.
What a great way to celebrate a second October full Blue Moon and Halloween all at the same time! To top it off, Mars will be nearby in the sky. Everybody was present in my communTEA packet and “raring to go!” Heavy duty lemongrass and mild blueberry aromas were noted.
Considering Butterfly Tea Flower really doesn’t have much taste, I figured I’d be reviewing a blue colored lemongrass/blueberry tea. Drank my brew in my usual clear “i ❤️ adagio” 12 oz mug for the full blueness effect. Tasting notes: Had to wait until the tea was warm to taste the flavors. I added some sugar to sweeten the lemon flavors and possibly bring the blueberry forward some. When warm, a thick and smooth sweet lemon mouthfeel was noted. A mild, but pleasant sour zing was present, possibly provided by the blueberry flavoring. Blueberry tastes were rather mild, though.
I decided not to add any lemon to watch it turn purple ... I’m not a purple fan. Thanks for a very nice basically novelty lemony tea drink. The trick-or-treaters will be howling at the moon tonight! Happy Halloween! (7 mins @ 212F, 1/2 tsp sugar)
This tea isn't just a tea; it's a whole entire experience. It is visually stunning, of course, but also the lemongrass-blueberry combo is among my favorites. I heard through the grapevine that the blueberry can sometimes get overwhelmed by the lemongrass, so I proactively added some dried blueberries. I do not regret this decision! I loved the extra juiciness of the additional blueberries. This might go down as one of my favorite tisanes!
As far as appearance this tea is stunning! The colors are very pretty either when blue or adding the lemon for the purple effect. As far as taste goes I could use something stronger. Maybe next time I try I’ll add a small bit of sweetness and see if that brings out more flavor.

A very pretty tea and it's fun to watch the color change when lemon juice is added. I only taste the lemon grass. It sort of reminds me of Alka Seltzer when plain. I like it alright with lemon juice and sweetener added but it's not one that I see myself buying.
I hadn’t tried Bella Luna Blue before today’s CommuniTEA and truthfully I was not sure what the fuss was about. I’ve had lemongrass, butterfly pea flower is consistently available… but this was a very pleasant surprise, not what I was expecting! The lemon is mellow and sweet. There is no actual blueberry included but the blueberry flavoring is perfect. Then of course there’s the gimmick: color-changing tea. This goes through various shades of blue while steeping, light teal to deep sapphire, and adding citrus like lemon or lime will yield further dramatic changes to purple. Absolutely beautiful and a fun celebration of a fairly rare occasion!
This herbal is easy to drink and easy on the eyes. The lemongrass and blueberry combo make it perfect as an iced tea. Add lemon for a nice magical trick that will dazzle your friends 😊 This one is refreshing, fruity, and fun! Happy Sipping!
Lovely deep blue color. Scent is wonderful! And a sweet, refreshing blueberry taste with a hint of lemongrass. Smooth and satisfying. So glad I ordered extra to make this last as long as possible since I can't order more til 2020!
8/22/2021 - ordered some more Blue! Love, love love this tea! The color is fun & lemongrass tastes SO good! I do wish they had a tin for it though! Maybe next blue moon there will be a tin? Please??? :)

I love this tea more for its showiness than its flavor. It is bold blue in color and tastes mostly like lemongrass with a hint of blueberry. I like to keep this on hand for when kids visit. It makes a great iced tea that can be enhanced with other fruit.
I have been waiting for this tea to be available since late 2020. Dry tea mostly smells of blueberry, since lemongrass tends to not smell like itself until after brewed. Once brewed, the resulting cup is an eye-catching blue. When hot, mild blueberry notes mingle with the spice of the lemongrass in the finish. Adding lemon to the brewed cup turns the dark blue into a purple, and obviously increases the lemon flavor in the cup. I have combined lemongrass and butterfly pea flower before, but the addition of blueberry rounds out the flavors a bit and gives it a nice sweetness. Also works well iced, although I would recommend using some boiling water for a few minutes to get the lemongrass to a nice flavor profile and then icing rather than cold-brewing, which does not extract as much lemongrass flavor from my experience. Brewed at 212 for 5 minutes.
This tea is all about the novelty but it's so fun, who cares? Blue tea? Blue tea that turns purple when you add citrus? Who can resist the delight?Not me! The taste itself is a light lemongrass with a hint of blueberry. I find it's much more delicious with a monkfruit sweetener addition. Butterfly pea flower is quite the sensation these days and I'll stick around for the show. Happy Sipping!
I love the look of this tea and the color-changing properties of the butterfly pea flower pigment. However, the flavor is light and not particularly interesting, so this isn't one I'd purchase. I'd rather just buy the flowers and play with those! (5 mins @ 212 F, 2 drops EZ-Sweetz)
Very lemongrass flavor so if you like lemon grass you will love it! The color makes this tea so fun!
Fun blue color! Tastes deliciously like lemongrass. I don’t think I can detect any blueberry, but I’m not missing it.
This tea is as pretty as it is pleasant to drink. The flavor itself is very light, so I’d recommend dropping the tea to water ratio if you’re looking for a more impactful taste. My preferred additions are 3 drops of lemon juice to bring it to a bright sapphire color, and about a 1/4 tsp of truvia.
YUM! What an absolutely delightful tea. Adagio CommuniTEA continues to surprise me. I'm usually less than enthusiastic about the herbal teas, but this one has such a beautiful balance of delightful flavors I can't help but enjoy it.
This is a very refreshing tea, and honestly, the novelty of the color just makes it fun to drink. It’s a lot more subtle than I had anticipated, but still worth the wait.
This tea is so much fun to play with and the colors you can achieve are beautiful. If this review was based on science, I would give it 5+ stars. At the end of the day, this is tea and I find I am not a fan of lemongrass. The flavor is lighter and I didn't really pick up on blueberry which may be due to the single portion Communitea packet. Fun tea to play with, just not my cup of tea to drink.

I like lemongrass, but I wish I could taste more blueberry in this tea. I tasted it before I added lime juice and still did not detect much blueberry. Maybe it's my CommuniTea packet.
Sipping along with the CommuniTEA: Tart red fruit notes noticed from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 7 minutes at 212° F, I noticed a striking deep, dark aqua blue liquid with subtle notes of lemon grass in my cup. When I take a sip, I am greeted with subtle tart berry flavor, followed by very present lemongrass/lemon balm balanced out with a light sweetness. There is a hint of earthy herbaceousness on the finish. Interestly good cup, worth the wait.
(2020) Well, I didn't think the mailman would deliver this on time with yesterday's weather here in Oklahoma. I did have fun playing with the color changing while I got the day off from work. I made three cups: one with nothing added; one with lime added; and one with brown sugar added. With me just use to drinking straight tea, my favorite is the one with nothing added (just blue). If I could, I could buy and gift to my daughter's science teachers, but I missed that boat. I'd probably forget that idea for Halloween 2020 knowing how much money I put in for candy, pumpkins, and gourds. UPDATE: Apologies. I've since found the tea to be overrated. It was four stars when I first rated it.
UPDATE: The CommuniTea packet has such beautiful ingredients with the lovely butterfly pea flower and the ample lemongrass.
8/26/20 The blue color of this tea, from the Butterfly Pea Flower, is one of the best things about it. The fact that it is caffeine free, is the second. Lastly, it is a special treat since you can only buy it on days of a blue moon! Flavor wise I find this tea way too weak for my pleasure, however, adding lemon juice (which changes the blue color to purple!! seriously, how cool is that?) helping bring out the blueberry and lemon grass flavor.. It turns into a delicious ice tea, especially after I add 1/4 teaspoon of stevia sweetener to 10 oz of tea, and a little lemon juice. I am glad I bought this tea, as I plan to experiment by adding it to other teas. Plus, as an ice tea, I can drink it anytime! (10 mins @ 212°F)
I look forward to this every year! Such a good tea for iced tea or for an afternoon/evening cup to relax. The blueberry flavor is so pleasant with the refreshing lemongrass. The color makes me happy :)
Updated: Really enjoy having this light tea and the color is the best part. I love sharing this tea with visitors, everyone seems to like the flavor and especially the color changing effects. I get to act out the mad scientist part adding the lemon to it Buhuhahaha. The lemongrass gives it a mellow lemony flavor. A refreshing cup of tea.

This is a fun tea! And the gimmick of only being available on a Blue Moon, is priceless! This tea is a very pretty blue (or purple if you add a few drops of lemon juice), and has a nice lemony flavor from the lemongrass.
Light, bright, and refreshing! Lemongrass and berries make for a delicious blend. Add in the magic of a beautiful blue purple hue, and it’s magic!

I like this one, it’s got a lot of lemongrass, and is great chilled with lemon juice.
Electric blue tea with a tart lemon taste that becomes deliciously citrusy when sweetened. The blueberry flavor is eclipsed by the plentiful lemongrass. No matter, the taste of the tea once sweetened to elevate the best of the lemon flavor sent me to the moon and back. The butterfly pea flowers are adorable blue fan shaped flowers that deliver the beautiful indigo shade that makes this tea special and fun.
I had a mere 1 g but 3 full tsp of light airy green lemongrass with 4 butterfly pea flowers in my CT packet. I brewed 12 oz. for 6 min. at 212*F and loved watching the beautiful blue color develop in the tea. The first taste was tart and I added some agave to tame the sharp flavor. A resteep of 5 oz. took almost 25 minutes to revive the bright blue color with the lemon flavor much subdued. Chilled, the lemon flavor stayed strong and the blueberry flavor remained hidden. I loved this tea for the color and the lemon flavor. Sipping it from a glass mug made it extra delightful. I’m stocking up now so I don’t run out before the next blue moon.
I can taste the lemongrass and butterfly pea flower, and didn't taste any blueberry. It still tastes great! I added a little lemon juice and this tea turned a deep purple color.
I absolutely love this tea ot was one of the first I ever ordered in bulk. Really enjoy the light blueberry flavor paired with the lemongrass.
