Very slight vanilla flavor. For me I prefer it to be stronger
China green tea with pure vanilla. Smooth and cozy, like warm sugar cookies made with fresh vanilla beans.

Very slight vanilla flavor. For me I prefer it to be stronger
This has been my main tea for a while as I drink 4-5 cups of it a day. Has the earthy quality of a green tea, but with a vanilla note. Excellent with milk and sugar but I drink it without any addition most of the time.
Very mellow in flavor because of the vanilla, its calming and delicious. It doesn't require much sweetener which I love later in the afternoon.
One of the best green teas I have ever bought. I'm on here to buy my third bag after a friend gifted me my first and its been my default after dinner green ever since. Its so smooth and lovely. If you are a green tea lover just give this a try.
I really enjoy green tea. This has a nice taste of vanilla with the subtly of green tea. It's lovely in the morning.
one of my favorite teas to drink. Great warm or ice cold. The vanilla flavor is not too strong and the tea is smooth. Excellent with orange blossom honey
Warm vanilla flavor in a lovely green tea. This is my go to when I'm starting to feel under the weather.
I use this often as a base for my own tea blends - it's delicious with other additions, but also delicious on it's own!
This tea is quite tasty. It's jut easy to get tired of. I like flavors I can just keep drinking. I do still make sure I keep a stash in my office though for visitors.
I open my CommuniTEA packet to the lovely sent of vanilla. It has a smooth a creamy vanilla flavor that pairs well with the mildly grassy flavor of the green tea. I little bit of sweetener brings the vanilla flavor even more to the front. It’s a very soothing blend.
Quite pleasant, strong vanilla smell and taste with the softness of a green tea.
Would drink again
Update 11/09/2023 - perhaps because I’ve learned more about steeping green tea, or my packet today wasn’t near as grassy. Glad I tried it again.
I wanted to like this but it was real grassy. There was very little vanilla flavor here. I managed to finish it but not likely I would want it again.
Really nice vanilla flavor, on the sweet side. I usually drink the black vanilla, but this is a nice change of pace.
Of the various vanilla teas I’ve tried from Adagio, this vanilla green is the most obviously vanilla.
The aroma is intense, and yes, it does actually remind me of the smell of freshly baked sugar cookies. Yet, despite that sweet scent, this is not totally a sweet tea. Rather, there’s an interplay between sweet and savory to this tea that reminds me of the rare savory vanilla dishes I’ve had. (A butternut squash and vanilla bean risotto comes to mind.) Though the vanilla flavor stands out more against the backdrop of mild green tea than it does against black tea or even rooibos, it does not overshadow the tea’s natural grassy notes. Plus, the addition of the vanilla plays up the butteriness of the green tea base, adding a creamy sensation to the cup. Though I wouldn’t reach for it regularly, this flavored green gets five stars because vanilla, for once, demanded my attention. (2 minutes @ 175F)
Smooth green tea with a bold vanilla aroma and taste. I enjoyed with a little honey.
The combination of green tea and vanilla is super delicious! I really enjoyed drinking this tea hot. I found as it cooled the vanilla became more predominant.
Strong vanilla flavor in this (I steeped a little longer than called for), and a pleasant tea all around. I'd drink this again.
Very sweet vanilla tea. Just a little 'grassy' tasting. Liked this one better than its black tea counterpart.
Lovely light vanilla green tea. I did taste the sweet vanilla, I also added a little lemon meringue green, so good.
Nice tea with good vanilla flavor. I enjoy a good vanilla tea and this one fits the bill.
very comforting! has a strong aftertaste though, but its good!
delicate green tea is overpowered by the strong vanilla; grassy green tea too mild to syand up to vanilla. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA September box.
Update: tried again with Agave, totally new experience. Also pay attention to time &temperature. This one has grown on me
A very delicate green with a soft vanilla scent upon steeping. The taste itself has a nice touch of vanilla on top of the green flavor. Steeping at 176 degrees for 2 and a half minutes left no bitterness in my cup. I think sugar would be good if you were looking for a sweeter cup, but it is also fine on its own.
Very light and mild all around, the vanilla flavor was just barely there for me. I enjoyed it, but I prefer my green teas a little more robust. While it isn’t something I would gravitate towards, I could definitely see it for someone who wants a green tea that isn’t ‘grassy’ and wants a flavored green tea that is more on the subtle side.
amending my review - liked it better this time. I oversteeped a bit, less is probably more here, and had to add sugar, but it's not bad.
not 'bad'! just vanilla & green don't do it for me
For so much green tea, I was pleasantly surprised at the mild taste. I enjoyed it without the harsh flavor.
Faint vanilla aroma with the dry tea leaves. 2 min @ 160. Lightest of vanilla flavor with the smooth green tea flavor I enjoy. Second steep was just green tea which is fine with me. I enjoyed my cups and would drink it happily if I had it. Just not necessarily one I would add to my cart.
A peasant vanilla smelling tea without the grassiness of some green tea.
Updated from 12/13/22: The vanilla aroma was stronger than the flavour on this tea. It tasted a little less like dirty grass than plain green tea, so that's a plus. There has to be something more substantial in the additives for me to be able to enjoy a green tea, I'm afraid. If green tea is your thing, I'm sure this is a good iteration, it just didn't match the description at all for me. Steeped 2 min @ 175º.
As a green tea fan, I enjoyed this from the aroma upon opening - grassy yet sweetly vanilla- to the vanilla flavor that I felt took some of the vegetal edge off the green tea. Hopeful for second steep! 180 for 2.5 min
Update: This continues to be one of my favorite flavored green teas. So unfussy and calming, with just enough of the vanilla flavor. Works well in blends, but I prefer it solo.
A simple green tea with a slight vanilla flavor. Vanilla mellows out the grassiness of the green tea.
Sometimes green tea on its own upsets my stomach. Adding vanilla to anything is a good thing. It's a nice tea to sip in the afternoon.
I enjoy vanilla and I enjoy green tea, but together they weren't the stellar combination I would've hoped for. It was enjoyable, but I much more prefer vanilla black tea.
I really loved this green, the vanilla was such a great addition to this grassy green, I sipped it out of a stemless chardonnay glass, I mean, nothing else to do with those, tea to me is better than a fine wine anyway, at least similar in its complexities.
This is a simple but comforting tea - the vanilla is really front and center but definitely in a good way. Plus it smells amazing in the bag!
Smooth and refreshing definitely one of my favourite green teas to date. Would def recommend to have with sweet cakes.
I don't dislike it, but this tea isn't all that special to me either. It tastes kind of like a slightly sweet green tea. Also, you definitely don't want to over-steep this one
Out of all of the adagio teas I’ve had over the last 6 months, vanilla green is by far my favorite tea. It’s become my go-to!
This is a wonderfully flavored green tea with just the right smooth vanilla taste. I enjoy this tea both hot and iced—definitely an all around favorite!
As others mentioned, the vanilla in this is pretty light; I've also gotten vanilla in rooibos, honeybush, and decaf black, so the difference here (whether because of the lighter base tea or actually having less vanilla in it) is definitely noticeable. It's not bad though, there's still enough to get the effect of lightly 'sweetening' the base tea and smelling nice.
I might use it in a green blend, but personally I would probably buy one of the richer vanilla variants over a larger bag of this if I wanted vanilla by itself. But for those who specifically want subtle, it's easily five stars.
I must say I add this tea to my cart every time I place an order. It’s the perfect every day green tea, especially if you like a light cozy warm vanilla flavor. Add a drop of honey and you’re set!
I loved the vanilla green. It's smooth and has a subtle yet enjoyable hint of vanilla. It's not too strong and is very enjoyable on a cold night.
I hoped for a little more vanilla but it is a pleasant, softly flavored green tea
Best green tea I have had. Light with no bitterness at all.
Love any tea with vanilla and this one is perfect green tea. Nice green tea and vanilla flavor.
Based on the smell of this one in the packet, I thought I was not going to like it. The leaves kind of smell like root beer or cream soda.
Once brewed, it smells a little more like vanilla, and you can also smell the green tea. The vanilla flavor is so mild I barely taste it. Essentially to me, it tastes like a regular green tea. If not for the smell I don't know that I could have identified vanilla in it.
4 stars because I like this, probably in spite of the flavor, because I can't really taste the flavor strongly. I like that this didn't get bitter as can easily happen with green teas- I don't have a thermometer and guess at temperatures below boiling. I steeped it for 2 minutes, no sweetener or milk.
It’s a nice flavored green tea. Without sweetener the grassiness of the green is strong enough to make the vanilla taste odd. Adding a few grains of sugar (perhaps 1/16 tap) brings out the vanilla and gives a nice tang. I got 3 steeps out of this the 165 was better than 180. 2.5 min up to 3.5 by 3rd steep.
The vanilla flavoring is fine but I am just not a fan of green tea. Luckily this is not too grassy, however it is not one I would order since there are other vanilla teas prefer over this one.
I did like this one, though I had to add some honey to sweeten it.
This is a good example of a flavored green tea. The tea itself is nothing exceptional. In fact, as a green tea lover, I feel like the vanilla overwhelms anything the tea has to offer. If you are a fan of vanilla, this tea will likely satisfy that flavor craving. I did not add anything to the tea, but I imagine the vanilla flavor will be further emphasized if sugar or sweetener were added.
I don't drink a whole lot of green teas usually preferring black and I especially am not favorable to grassy teas. This seemed very grassy to me and the vanilla was over shadowed by all the grassiness. So yeah... not my favorite cup.
