Hmpf. I love vanilla- all things vanilla- but this is not a true vanilla- or it's just not pairing well with this particular green. BAH! I really wanted to love this! The smell is okay- but the taste is musty, fuggy..? Sigh.

it seriously smells like sugar cookies. much sweeter than the black tea and great to blend with sweeter teas (or with stronger teas to level out the flavor).

Tasted to me almost like green tea with a drop of vanilla mixed in. Not too strong or too soft if a vanilla taste, it just wasn't for nr me and my typing skills
A little disappointed with this one, I'm afraid. The vanilla flavor is very subtle, a little too subtle for my taste. It just tastes like a pretty decent quality green tea, which isn't exactly what I had in mind when I ordered it. I'll probably skip this one in the future.
I am an absolute vanilla fiend- only if it's really good, authentic vanilla flavor. You could even go so far as to call me a vanilla snob. Vanilla extract from a grocery store? Oh, -no-. Not at all good enough; I'll drive an hour round trip out of my way for good Madagascarian bourbon vanilla beans in extract handmade by local experts and pay the $$ for a little bottle. That said, this green tea is perfection in a cup. It may well be my number one tea -ever-, though I'm loathe to call it that for now since I do like variety.
It has an incredibly sweet nose to it and it really delivers that in flavor. With a regular green tea one would expect a bit of an acidic bite at the end of the flavor- not so with this tea; the vanilla really delivers here and rounds out all of green tea's rougher edges. It's super smooth every time and I absolutely love this stuff. I was getting a wee bit tired of it after I'd consumed 9 ounces' worth, but my fiance and I absolutely can't get enough of the flavor. So we're working on a new 3-oz bag. :D

This tea is my favorite green tea of all time. The vanilla aroma is reminiscent of marshmallows which is a delicious smell but I was worried at first the tea would be too sweet. Not so! A very nice green tea flavor with a nice slightly smokey vanilla finish. Delicious and light with no bitterness at all.
Pretty good stuff ,not the best green tea I've tried but I still enjoy drinking it . Love the fast shipping too :)
A little light on the vanilla, a little grassy.
A great, relaxing aroma to this tea! Perfect for making a pot of and curling up with a good book on the couch. The vanilla scent is there and a pleasant accent, but the green tea is still very strong and dominant.

Open the bag and you'll get a whiff of what smells like cookies. The taste is much more subdued in its flavoring, but it's quite good anyway.
Nice alternative to black teas with a slightly smoother flavor and less caffeine. Use it to blend with almost any other green tea or by itself. It's great to make a teabag of fall spices and soak with it in Autumn. Perfect with raw honey.

My son loves this tea - it is on his favorites list. I like the vanilla flavor, so this is also on my list. Add a little sweetener to make the flavor really pop!
It smells like that white vanilla frosting that comes in those cardboard cans at the store, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on what you like. I thought it was nice. The first time I made it, I didn't heat the water enough, and it tasted more like vanilla flavor than tea. the second time, I heated it a little too much, and I thought it was much tastier. It's kind of buttery and creamy, and very light and refreshing.

~Usually I don't like flavored green teas and tried this one at my daughter's request. It is nice and light, with lovely flavor. Our new after dinner tea. As always brew only 4 minutes max, so not to make a bitter steep.
I'm not sure why, but for some reason I could barely taste any vanilla in this. I could definitely smell it, and it smelled like vanilla ice cream, but when brewed all I could really taste was grassy green tea. I tried it with a few herbal mixes and the vanilla never really shined beyond the smell.
The vanilla gives it an almost creamy taste. I enjoyed it more than I expected.
What a light refreshing green tea. It's great alone but to change it up I add some vanilla soy and make it a delicious tea latte!!
