My favorite green tea flavor! I like tea that isn't sweet or fruity.
Tightly rolled fuzzy buds give a soft, fruity sweetness enfolded by a rich, smoky note similar to gunpowder, but more complex and crisp.

My favorite green tea flavor! I like tea that isn't sweet or fruity.
This is a fantastic green tea, and it's so much fun watching the dragons unfurl!
I love how these little dragons open up so much to reveal some pretty big wings! The tea they produce is mild tasting and not at all fierce. Second steep is just as tasty.
A very nice, but subtle and light flavor. Much lighter than I am used to. However, it was still quite tasty.
This tea is great! I love the shape of the leaves, and it has a nice taste.
I was excited to try this loose leaf green tea because I ve seen videos of green tea unfurling before it s really cool. This didn t disappoint on the coolness or the flavor! I love the light grassy notes of this tea. I do give this tea a longer steep than recommended because I enjoy stronger flavored tea.
Love it! It is earthy with a light floral flavor. Perfect light tea to drink throughout the day. I steeped it Chinese style in my small Chinese tea pot for just 30 seconds and it came out beautifully.
Sleeping Dragon has a nice subtle smokiness to it. Tastes great with a touch of honey. Great tea whether served hot or cold. This tea will always be on my favorites list.
Good, traditional tasting green tea. Nothing to write home about, it’s good lol.
Mostly vegetal, with a little bit of smokiness. Good, but not my favorite-- I would tend to lean one side or the other, like go for a stronger gunpowder green smoke flavor, or a lighter sencha.
This is a really good green tea! It s got a really nice earthy taste.
Alright. Not my kind of taste. Pretty weak even by green tea standards. Might be good for some people out there, but it didn t fit well with my palette

This tea is a good green tea if you are looking for a different flavour profile than just your average green tea bag. It definitely has a crisp taste to it also has a really good aroma.
Like most green teas, you don't want to over steep, so I definitely recommend setting a timer.
Smells like seaweed in the bag. Steeps to a yellowish liquor. Pretty good flavors of grass and a slight sweetness, but nothing mind blowing. Solid. steeped at 2 1/2 minutes at 180 or so.
Enjoyable, but I think I haven’t yet found the ideal steeping time and temperature. This one has a stronger flavor than I’m used to in a green tea, and is less forgiving when I heat the water too hot or let it steep too long.
Absolutely love this tea! My best friend and I did a gung fu brewing with this, and it was one of our absolute favorites. The way the flavor developed between brewings really did tribute to the name, like there was a sleeping dragon being slowly awakened as we continued to brew the leaves. Overall, great subtle green tea flavor with sweet undertones and a slight citrus note in the aftertaste. If you're into green teas, this one is definitely worth a try.
Was a great green tea and lives up to all the reviews
Wow! This is one of the most amazing green teas I’ve ever had. It’s a little strong though, so I used less than I normally would with other teas.
super easy to drink for green tea newbies like myself!
My roommate looooooves this one a great deal. We're both big fans of green tea, and this one hits all the good points for us both.
Has an earth green tea flavor i liked it a lot...
I tried this tea because it was designated as a comparable option to replace Emperor's Clouds and Mist from Teavana. I will definitely be buying more.
Too mild for me. Wouldn't by it again but it is probably something that people who like a milder tea would like
Very nice. Like gunpowder, but a little bit brighter than gunpowder.
It s a nice tea, smooth and grassy with a somewhat flowery undertaste. The only reason it s four stars instead of five is that you need to be VERY precise with the brewing or it turns bitter without warning, and that s a level of care I just can t commit to.
Great tea. But just brew this under the temp that the package suggests. I did 160 for 1 min and was perfect
This was the first green tea I liked, but it's by far not my favorite I've had since. An excellent introduction for anyone who isn't sure what they'll like best but wants to start exploring green tea.
The new home favorite! Has a good, somewhat complex flavor, smells wonderful. Will definitely order again!
Unbelievable. Complex and unique. This is one of my favorite teas to drink when I'm writing.
Not the most remarkable thing in the world, but tastes nice.
I have had multiple differenttypes of green tea over the years and so far this is my favorite. It has a smooth, mild flavor compared to many I've tasted. Even making a strong cup I didn't get the grassy taste I get with most I've tried. I'll definitely order again
I really enjoyed this tea. Lovely smoky flavor. Will absolutely repurchase.
One of my favorite green teas so far. Go with the lower temperatures and short steep times to reduce astringency - I was able to steep 4 times, with notable smoky sweetness on the third and 4th steeping.
Always happy to have an unflavored tea variety to try through CommuniTEA! :) I drank this tea easily (it was nice and crisp per the description), but didn't pay close attention which tells me that it didn't blow my mind or anything. There are other greens that are more to my taste so I won't be buying this, but it was perfectly enjoyable and I can see why others call it a favorite. (2.5 mins @ 180º -- two steeps, didn't have a chance to try a third.)
I really enjoyed this green tea. Steeped at the recommended 180 degrees for 3 minutes, it had a savory, smoky flavor that was smooth with no bitterness.
This is not a grassy green, which to me is good, but it also isn't my favorite. Due to the nature of the rolled leaves, multiple steeps are suitable.
Delicious! Tastes like an oolong. The flavor is more robust than you would expect.
Tastes like liquid seaweed. Not a fan but tastes like it should be healthy
Crisp grassy fresh smelling tea. Enjoyed it very much.
I used to think I liked green tea, but most of the greens I have tried lately (especially from Adagio) have just not been my thing. I really do try to not oversteep, but they somehow always seem too bitter. This one did sort of have a spinach taste right at the beginning, but then that went away and it was just bitter green tea. I couldn't begin to try to describe it - I've seen 'grassy' and 'vegetal' and I guess those apply. I just didn't enjoy it overall. The one positive thing I have noticed about the Adagio greens is that I can get a solid three steeps out of them, and they tend to taste a little better each time.
I still just can’t get behind green tea. This wasn’t as terrible and grassy as most green teas are, but it still was just an odd flavor. My husband likened it to a chicken flavor, and I agree that it was a more savory flavor. CommuniTEA continues to force me to try green teas; if you like green tea I’m sure you’d love this one.
Rolled teas are the best to watch steep, it’s like magic when you watch them unfurl & see just how big the leaves are!
When hot the tea did have a slightly vegetal flavor, but that mellowed out as it cooled. All in all, a nice green tea. Mild, not too grassy or hay-like, & I did not get any bitterness.
Steeped (1) 175F 2.5min, (2-3) 180F 2min
This tea is grassy with a slightly astringent finish. It starts with mellow flavors that intensify as the cup cools.
Greens are not my favorite, but this one lacks the 'grass' flavor many have and the undercurrent of smoke makes it unique.
This tea was so fun to open and look at the cute little dragons all curled up. When hot, I thought that the flavor was a mild and balanced green with a smokey finish. However, I did find that as the tea cooled it began to have more of a seaweed flavor that I did not enjoy.
Nice smooth vegetal green tea. I enjoyed 3 steeps.
I am not a fan of green teas. That being said, this one was not that bad. I brewed my communiTEA sample gong fu style. I can definitely see the visual resemblance of the dried leaves to sleeping dragons. The tea brews a light green colour. The aroma is artichoke/grass like with smoke on the middle steepings.
Until recently I thought I didn’t like green teas because they always remind me of the smell of a cow’s breath - warm and grassy. I love the communiTea because it takes me out of my comfort zone. I really enjoyed this dragon tea. It’s a pretty tea visually and has a smooth, not grassy taste
Not a fan of the green tea. This one is not that bad. Out of all the green teas I have tried this one I could drink.
