Tightly rolled fuzzy buds give a soft, fruity sweetness enfolded by a rich, smoky note similar to gunpowder, but more complex and crisp.

Smells nice but has a strong bitter/ vegetal/ astringent taste. Will not be finishing this sample.

This tea just replaced gun powder on my everyday tea. It has a more subdued astringency and smoky flavor. It creates a very smooth yet strong green tea. These huge tea leaves unfurl and produce the perfect balance to astringency and earthiness.

I was looking forward to trying sleeping dragon. I realized that this green tea was way to smokey for my taste. To me this tea will be an acquired taste.

Sleeping Dragon was more smokey than I expected. I enjoyed the sample I got, but I probably won't be buying more.

This is the most complex and amazing cup of green tea I have ever had. I can taste the the subtle and relaxing smokiness and the second steeping was even better. I will be buying this tea again and I highly recommend this to anyone who likes a nice cup of green tea.

This is one of the stronger green teas I have had and it is also slightly bitter. Its flavors more strongly remind me of japanese teas though it is a chinese tea.

I really liked this green tea. It's similar to gunpowder, but softer in taste. I will buy this one again.

I gaiwan brewed this tea like I normally do with greens. To me this is a somewhat light and sweet green tea with some depth that is not grassy but unlike the description I would not call it smoky, maybe slightly smoky but light enough that one can miss it. While it was compared to Gunpowder in the description quite honestly I think it is more like a Pi Lo Chun type green tea.

This is indeed similar to gunpowder, from the shape of the rolled-up leaves to the slightly smokey taste, with a bit of grassiness. The smokiness isn't as assertive as gunpowder, but it's still very full flavored. Try mixing it with peppermint or spearmint for a good variation on Casablanca Twist. Excellent value too.

Very similar to gunpowder tea but with a more smooth vegetal taste and less smokiness

If your just getting into green tea, this is a great place to start. The earthiness and grassy notes are definitely here, but they are more delicate and will not overwhelm a fussy palate.

Makes for a tasty cup of tea. Grassy, but not bitter.

This tea completely one upped Gunpowder. It was like Gunpowder except the bitterness was replaced with fruitiness. I will definitely have to get more of this.

Good tea. Rates much higher than 80. I think I like the new Mei Hua better though.

Sweet, slightly grassy. Kind of like gun powder, but not as smokey.
