Nice, basic green tea. It has a soft mellowness to it.
Fine twisted young leaf that resembles a chun mee style but interspersed with silvery down-covered buds.

Nice, basic green tea. It has a soft mellowness to it.
From a person who usually stays away from green tea, I say this is good. When hot and warm it is delicate and smooth, and while it has a mild vegetal quality, it isn't grassy. I did not get any smokey or floral aroma or flavor while drinking; however, the lingering taste after each sip has a bit of floral sweetness. As it cooled, the flavors became more prominent and a little sweeter, with maybe just a hint of bitterness that wasn't there while hot/warm. Overall, a very pleasant cup. To me, this tea is reminiscent of fresh fruit and honey. There is none of the grassy or bitter flavor that I sometimes get from green teas, but I also don't get the smoky notes. It's one of my favorite green teas.
Slightly astringent but has a good smokey flavor to it. The tea has a mildly buttery feel and a dry finish. This is exactly the way adagio describes it.
Pardon me while I rave ever so slightly. This is one of the smoothest green teas I've tried; it has none of the astringent or vegetative taste that you sometimes get with a plain green. The flavor is delicate, almost savory, and ever so slightly smoky. The flavor is fantastic on its own, but this would also be an ideal base to use if you like to make your own infusions at home because it's so mild. (It's probably best paired with more subtle flavors if you go this route, since I suspect it would be easily overpowered.)
Tastes like a run of the mill green tea to me, perhaps lighter on the grassy flavor typical of green teas. I’m not picking up on any of the other flavor notes in the description, but I like it nonetheless!
Very smooth. No bitter taste that I usually associate with green tea.
I am not a huge green tea fan but I opened todays packet keeping an open mind since I have learned that I can enjoy teas out of my usual comfort zone. The smell took me by surprise, rather than the vegetal green smell I was expecting, the scent was on the sweet side. I brewed this up at 180 degrees for 3 minutes and fins that the aroma in the cup is honeyed, definitely not what I expect from green tea. The taste is quite mild, almost no grassiness at all, with a honey/floral like taste at the end of the sip. This is a nice, smooth cup, very easy to drink, before I knew it I had finished the entire cup. I can't detect any smokiness, but find that the sweet smell makes each sip enjoyable.
This is a very nice, light, easy drinking tea!
This would be a good tea for introducing someone to the world of green teas. Slightly vegetal but still buttery and light tasting.
Smooth, light, buttery goodness, i am buying in bulk today! I will probably use twice as much that was in the Communitea packet for a regular size cup of tea, for a stronger flavor
I don’t normally drink green teas. Prefer black and the deeper flavors. But this was very good. It has some depth, perhaps enhanced by the smokiness that can be detected. Definitely a nice alternative when I want a bit less caffeine.
I never tasted silver sprout, but found it was a very mild green tea. No floral scent here, instead a warm & toasty sweet aroma followed by hints of a light grassy, smell, filled the room. Taste didn’t disappoint. Each sip simply delicious. Only I didn’t that a buttery flavor as some my communiTea friends described, but rather a sweet honey & mild taste. Wow, an interesting finale’ after each sip, a smoky almost dry wine finish jumped out at the end. (1st steep 2 mins @ 180F) (2nd steep 3 mins @ 180F) (3rd steep headed there now) All in all Yum! Today’s communiTea a satisfying treat, I wish I had more than today’s communiTea packet.
Dark green and beautiful twisted silver-tipped tea buds were noted in my communiTEA packet. A cold rinse was not needed as no fining dust was noted.
When hot, very mild and pleasant dry green grassy flavors were noted. Mild mineral tastes were present. Light cocoa and fruity flavors were noted.
When warm, an acceptable mild astringency was present. Lightly roasted nutty and smooth buttery flavors lingered on the palate.
At the end, all flavors remained layered and lingered to provide a bright and vibrant earthy cup of tea.
Second steep flavors were stronger than the first. Vegetal flavors were forward while sending grassy flavors to the back. Buttery smoothness was diminished. (No cold rinse needed, 1st steep: 2 mins 15 secs/2nd steep: 1 min 30 secs @ 175ºF, no sugar)
This is a great, mild green tea. Wonderful flavour. It would be a great intro to green tea for someone new to greens. Not my favourite green but still nice.
I enjoyed this green tea sample. Very light in taste and not overpowering in the smokey notes. Also, the smell is quite pleasing.
Light and refreshing green tea I Steeped at 175 for three minutes and it was perfect
This was a lovely and maybe one of my favorite green teas. (And that is saying a lot because green tea is not my go-to tea. But when I make a pot of tea and suddenly realize the pot is gone, Then I know I have enjoyed this tea. I found it to be slightly sweet. I did not get a smokey or grassy flavor. Instead, I just a buttery smooth tea.
Unique flavors blended into one tea..added some sugar to bring out subtle floral
A nice gentle green. Need to be careful with the temp and steep time, can become bitter.
a nice mild green tea that i enjoyed from when i tried it as a sample. would buy again
This is a perfectly fine green tea. Not bad, not great. Spend the extra 2$ and get the sleeping dragon instead.
Buttery and fruity with just a touch of floral, this tea is a favorite when I want something light and easy to sip on.
Love it. Pure and clean. Great morning tea. Yummy!
Very mild and unassuming. Mostly tastes of smoke with a hint of grain or sweet. Not my favorite, but not unpleasant. Could stand to be a bit stronger.
Well, I generally don't like green teas anyway, but I'm trying to branch out. Wasn't crazy about this one at all. Too 'vegetal'. But I have friend who loves green teas, so this one will be going to her.
A really awesome green. Nice for relaxing after a bowl of soup.
This teas not bad. Not one of my favorites but still alright
a very mild but pleasant tasting tea. might need to try steeping it for longer
abit one note for me with is had something to just add to the flavor.
An unusual green tea. I like the slightly grassy flavor.
I really good simply green tea. I would recommend
This is a tasty, grassy, but mild green tea. I like it both for hot or cold tea.
It has a curly shape and tasted like a jasmine gunpowder to me. You can get a few steeps out of it. Try a sample at least for the interesting shape.
Decent green. A bit 'woody' tasting, even with proper steeping. Definitely prefer the genmai cha.
I didn't care for the smell nor taste of this Silver Sprout tea. Update 2020: I tasted this silver sprout green tea again and I like it better now. Today it has a slightly chocolate smell before brewing and tastes like a nice green tea. Wouldn't buy again as it's a little astringent for my taste.
Hands down one of the best and easiest drinking green teas I've had. Even if you over-steep or steep for too long and think 'oh crap this is going to be bitter', it surprisingly is super light and smooth. 10/10 will buy again.
Lovely nutty, buttery green tea with just a hint of astringency.
Brew 2 heaping teaspoons in 240ml of water for 30 seconds at 175F
Rich, straw smelling dry tea with slight fruity touch. The liquor is very light cream colored with a sweet corn scent. Mild sweet flavor with no astringency. This tea doesn't really stand out on any point, it's just a well rounded delicious green tea.
A favorite green tea for everyday drinking. Also part of gourmet tea pack.
This is a great lighter green tea. I usually mix it with an oolong or black I have laying around
Excellent and exactly as described. Sweet beginnings with lightly smoky aftertaste.
Glad I tried it but not my favorite. No matter matter what temperature I brewed it in there was always some bitterness. I'll see if I can try it again later.
Easily my favorite green tea. It’s exactly as described.
It s a green! I think I like Gunpowder cold brewed a LITTLE better, but I dislike Gunpowder as a warm brew so I feel like I need both for when I want a cold or a hot green.
Lightly smoky, semi-bold tea with a creamy mouthfeel. Not too grassy or smoky, but a well balanced smooth green tea.
Really good average green tea and for a great price.
A nice, light green tea. Not the most spectacular one I’ve had, but I like it every once in awhile as an easy, mild tea.
Silver sprout is a bit of a strong tea for me, so a little bit of leaves goes a long way.
nice and mellow when warm, and pretty good as an ice tea
I came back to Adagio for this tea in particular. It has been one of my faves for years and never disappoints. A light peachy undertone and amazing mouth feel.
