I've had this tea before and it's lovely. Every sip takes me back to my time living and working in Japan.
Classic steamed tea from Shizuoka, Japan. Rich, brothy texture (when steeped as strongly as you might find in Japan), refreshing aroma. Rounded finish that coats the palate, sweet flavor reminiscent of tender steamed veggies and fresh seaweed.

This was a smooth and light green tea. Slightly sweet and no bitterness. Would drink this again!
The description of this tea is apt- very earthy flavor. If you’re not usually a plain green drinker this isn’t for you.
This tea is very good! It smells just like nori and tastes delicious! It is not overpowering and has no bitterness.
A grassy tasting green tea. Smooth and delicious. Especially when I’m not interested in drinking a tea with sweet notes.
I have being drinking Sencha teas for years ,Overture is one of the best
Robust, classic flavor. Avoid over-steeping to prevent excessive bitterness.
This one has a very interesting flavor, it’s just not my thing.
Delicious grassy green tea. Must appreciate the sencha flavor to understand that grassy is a good thing as it relates to tea.
I really liked this tea. typical green tea flavor. Would by again.
Sencha overture is a nice green tea that is refreshing.
Very mild, grassy but sweet grassy flavor and on the nose. Very good tea. I like it.
Perfect for a gentle wake up in the morning, or an afternoon relaxation tea. Pairs nicely with cookies or cakes.
Great flavor, definitely reminiscent of a veggie broth, but still a great tea.
Clean and green. A nice straightforward cup. I also enjoyed it with a drop of lemon juice.
I ordered this twice, it's a lovely fresh tea and with high values of EGCG.
I love the smell of this Sencha tea! Not only do I enjoy brewing it for a hot cup, I also use it as a blend with black tea to make kombucha. It has a very fresh and clean taste.
I love this tea. I save it and drink it as a reward or celebration when things are going my way.
Update to my original review: I don't know why, but on my second experience I really have grown a taste for this tea. It tastes almost Matcha like and I was a huge fan
Really great mouth feel, like silk in your mouth. Balanced flavor.
If you're looking a great refreshing tea, this one is a good try.
Love the strong seaweed flavor! Gets quite bitter if you oversteep -- so beware, if you don't like that (I don't the flavor kick). Good for multiple steeps.
This was a lot less green and astringent than I was expecting. It's mellow and savory, perfect after having Japanese food, which I think is key to the maximum enjoyment of teas in general. I did 2 min for 1st brew and 3.5 min for 2nd brew. Tried a 3rd brew but came out too watery to bother drinking.
Can't compare to other Sencha varieties or grades but this one was quite tasty and a great introduction. Brewed hot it has a mild grassiness, cold brewed it has a rich umami flavor.
I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. Mildly grassy with that mild hint of sencha acidity on the back end. Overall this is a solid green tea worth at least trying if you're into green tea from Japan.
Love it love it love it! Addictive. Better than Sencha Premier imo. 2 gr. in 250 ml
A bit too grassy for my tastes. It makes a good summer iced tea, though.
Nice mild green tea, slightly floral and grassy. Would be good iced as well.
This is a good everyday green tea. Works well over ice too.
One of my favorite teas. Slightly grassy, but not overpowering. Good clean brew.
Really nice and smooth green tea. To me, it was perfect not too grassy or vegetal. Really tasty
A light and delicate green tea, I have to be careful to have a clean palate to enjoy this one. A nice afternoon tea
Great Tea. Perfect every time. Just what i am looking for.
Love this tea. Tastes so earthy and fresh. Smell is wonderful !
I first tried Sencha blended in Genmai Cha, now I am enjoying it on its own.
When I want a strong green tea this is what I drink. The almost grassy aroma alone is fabulous. If you don't like strong vegetal flavors you probably won't like this one--I happen to love it. I steep 90 seconds max because it bitters very quickly
Great green tea and a great price. I have this every morning.
I usually purchase Sencha Premier, but I wanted to try the overture. It's good but I think I will stick with Premier. It's my go to tea!
I was very pleasantly surprised by how good this sencha was!
I always buy this tea again. Fresh green flavor and light color, it is very refreshing. High quality.
Still enjoying the unique taste of sencha green tea, words fail to describe well. Tends to get bitter if seeped more than 2 minutes.
A simple and strong sencha; it has a clean and relaxing taste.
I like this Sencha quite a lot! It has a very distinct 'green', grassy note that I very much enjoy. It is quite rich in flavor as well --- one can easily brew three cups of tea from one 3 gram serving, as long as the first two brewings (particularly the first one) are no longer than 2 minutes. I could drink this one every day!
This is a very nice bold grassy green tea. Very few 'Japanese' teas I get in the states remind me of the teas I drank when I was in japan, but this one does. It also ices very well in the summer. Do be careful to not steep it for longer than recommended as it can get bitter quickly!
Replaced my dragonwell with this (mixed with Kukicha). Cut my cost and taste just as good!
My very favorite green tea, just a great taste, im repurchasing!
This isn't a bad tea, but I've had better sencha. It's a good entry tea to Japanese green teas, but if you're more familiar with Japanese teas, this is only okay.
Great green tea taste. Authentic and bold. Great for resteeping!
Love this green tea. The flavor is fresh and strong.
Light, refreshing. Although, I like regilar sencha better.
