very rich and refreshing tea, my perfect choice for early morning. I use 400ml teapot and usually put about 3 small teaspoons, but for this tea 2 are more than enough. As soon as done with the 1st brew, add hot water, wait for 10min and discover some new shades of the taste.

Probably a great tea if like teas. Not my cup of tea, but my father loved it!

Smells and tastes like cream and honey. Comparable to Gyukuro flavors. A metallic, copper-y astringency that lingers on the tongue. Slightly ashy. Neither the metallic nor ashy qualities are negative contributions to my taste. Liquor golden-pale green. Good for several infusions of nearly identical quality, diminishing after the third infusion. A regular fixture in my stash.

I'm relatively new to green teas and especially Japanese ones, but trying this made me understand the references I've seen to a tea being 'brothy'.
It really does have a nourishing, food-like feel and flavor, along with some fresh grassiness. After getting a sample a while ago, I've reordered to have it for an afternoon tea.

Not much flavor. Even after adding honey, it was like drinking warm water.

This is a wonderful cup of green tea. It is a bit grassy, but not as much as Dragonwell, which has always been my favorite green tea. No trouble with bitterness. This may be my new favorite.

Alas, the grassy taste that most Japanese greens have is too forward in this, for me. It's got a nice, velvety mouth-feel, and a good, deep green taste on the cool-down, but the primary note to my taste is still 'grass'.

The other one of my favorite teas, I blend it with Jasmine. Every morning I start my day with this combo.

I love sencha tea! This one is light, crisp, and grassy, given it's brewed correctly and not too long.

A good sencha, but not as complex as sencha overture

Almost as good as gyukuro with a more roasted taste. Was very fresh. We really enjoyed this one! Great value!

Vegetal, grassy, seaweed and spinach. I've tried sencha from many different places and I just cannot get on board with it. That doesn't necessarily mean this is a bad sencha. It just means it's not my cup of tea.

Love this tea. I have it every morning using my Breville tea pot. So good. During summer I pour it over ice in the morning.

This is a delicious tea which provides me great focus and energy in the mornings.

Slightly sweet, a solid green tea selection. Gotta be careful not to let it steep for too long though.

Love this one. I drink it every morning now, great way to start the day.

This green tea has a sweet grassy flavor like most green tea and at its price it is very reasonable.

Fabulous sencha tea! Its notes differ slightly from the sencha overture. Slightly more grassy and brothy.

I wake up with sencha premier each morning. It warms my heart with a fresh golden glow.

Used for kombucha and made a good batch. I also had some as tea and it had a nice flavor.

This is the first tea I've tried from Adagio based on other recommendations, and I have to say I am impressed. I use a bodum french press to brew, and let it steep a little longer than normal. I find it turns out richly flavored with an almost a lemon grass type type flavor, and is very smooth. I usually have 3 cups every morning. Not only does it help calmly wake me up, but it keeps me alert throughout the day, and let's me sleep easily at night. I'm am very satisfied with this purchase and will definitely buy again.

An excellent sencha. It is light, and not grassy tasting as most sencha when brewed at 160 deg F over 2 min. The second brew tastes even better than the first. This is the mainstay of my teas.

This has become one of my favorite teas to date. The earthy flavors are the embodiment of what green tea is and what green tea lovers have come to appreciate. I steep this one quite delicately, but even if I were to go over a bit, there is minimal to no bitterness to this tea. A high-quality tea that I brew for my friends and family.

Very nice, lovely clean green taste. Probably the best plain green I've tastes, perfect for when you want just a simple cup.

One of my favorite green teas. I used to buy it from other vendors, but Adagio has the best sencha in my opinion. It is light, tasty and delightful!

this is my first time trying green tea, and although I wasn’t repulsed, I’m not sure it’s for me. Perhaps it’s an acquired taste

Great sweet japanese tea. can steep with hot water and colder around 160, tastes different
★★★★★
This is a good green tea. I like the lightness, the little bit of sweetness, and the green taste of this. I also don’t find the green taste to be overpowering, but I also really enjoy vegetal teas so it wouldn’t bother me anyway.

this is my daily green tea for the work week. first brew is for first half of day and 2nd for the last half of day... Sencha all day/night.
★★★★★
Great Sencha, this is a tea that you would enjoy on the 1st day at your ryokan stay in Arima. This tea is best served alone, have it after your breakfast, don't eat it with your sunny side up eggs and toast..no no no.
★★★★★
This sencha tea has got to be the smoothest sencha I have ever tasted. It brews a gorgeous light green, smells and tastes incredible.

This is a great full-bodied and robust green tea! It's the perfect addition to my morning routine since it's so quick to whip up and it has a subtle nutty flavor I'm in love with.

A nice, light, grassy green tea! Tasted fine on its own without sweetener or milk.

I don't typically care much for green tea and this was no exception (I sipped it as part of the CommuniTea). The first few sips were not very good but by the end of my cup I did find myself enjoying it. It had a mild and grassy taste - and smell - and also had a natural sweetness which made it fine to drink without any additives.

This tea is wonderful and much better than the very good sencha overture. The tea is light and refreshing with very little astringency. It has a butter roasted vegetable flavor with an underlying steamed rice flavor. The color is beautiful and the smell is refreshing and reminiscent of a breeze flowing through the trees after a rain. There is no bitterness if your water and steeping time is the same as what is recommended. Great tea will buy in the future.

This is my first dive into green teas, outside of Bigelow's tea bags. I never understood the descriptions of green tea until I tried this one. It's sweet, grassy, and almost savory in a way, and not at all what I was expecting. Now I need to try more green teas to compare!

A really great green tea! Sencha has such a light flavor and it's really refreshing. Was happy to get this as today's CommuniTEA!

I knew right away I was going to want stevia first this tea before I even tried it. I’m not in love with extra grassy green teas and wouldn’t have tried thus without CommuniTEA, it’s a perfectly fine green tea, just not for me.

I’m not usually a green tea drinker but this one is good. It has a full bodied flavor without being bitter. I did put some honey into it but it probably doesn’t need the sweetener. Don’t overbrew, don’t overheat the water. 170F for 2 minutes. I’d recommend to green tea lovers.
★★★★☆
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. On first sip I hated it, but subsequent sipping resulted in more confusion. It's a very safe, mild green with a seaweed taste. I'd probably enjoy it with some sushi. Not one I'd make my go-to green; I prefer gunpowder.

Very enjoyable green tea. Light, delicate flavor with lots of depth. It's easy to over-steep this one and get a bitter brew. At 165 F, 2 minutes resulted in a cup that was slightly bitter, so I'd recommend steeping for an even shorter time than that. The leaves can be reused multiple times for additional tasty cups.

I love Japanese green teas, and this one is quite good. The fresh sweet grassy, seaweed taste is there. I did a second steep at 175. Not quite as flavorful, but still good.

I gave this a yay on the communiTEA voting. The first few drinks were okay but the more I drank the less I liked it. I can't change my vote or I probably would. I do like green tea but this one just doesn't make the cut for me.

It's been a while since I had a sencha. I never had this particular one (one any from Adagio) but sencha has always been more green in smell and flavor than I initially liked. Nowadays, thanks to my love for matcha (NO LATTES), I can honestly say that I appreciate this tea more. I brewed this according to the pack's instructions. This tea does indeed have an initial sweet smell out of packet but once you add the water, you will get the rather grassy notes. For anyone who drinks matcha, this tea should smell a little more strongly. The flavour for me is bright, green and sweetly vegetal. I'm loving how fresh it tastes. Too bad I'm a bit too broke to drink this more often but I'm thankful to have this one cup for spring.

I don’t even know how to describe this tea. To start, I found the aroma unpleasant upon opening the packet, and when I finally tasted it, it had a repugnant flavor. It wasn’t over brewed or bitter, it just tasted bad. Green teas aren’t my favorite, but I usually enjoy them, but whatever flavor this has is better suited to go down the drain than down my throat.
