Strong herbal scent in the sample packet, I didn't see much in the way of fruit. But for me that's perfectly alright because pomegranate can overwhelm me quickly. This was a terrific afternoon sip for me

Got this as a Communitea sample pack. This was really good - except I only tasted raspberry, not much pomegranate. Maybe it was less pomegranate flavored in the sample packs? It was still tasty. I tried it first hot, and then again in an eight hour cold steep. Both good, I liked it better cold.

The green tea was pleasant and smooth, no bitterness noted. I didn't detect much fruitiness though. It may have been that my CommuniTea packet was lacking the fruit pieces. I might get a sample to try again. I tried this both hot and cold.

Nice green tea! Not really tasting pomegranate specifically, but it is a lovely fruity flavor. I added stevia and milk to mine, and its just wonderful <3

A buttery green tea with light astringency. The fruit flavor isn’t particularly strong from the start, & it stayed subtle even as it cooled for me. But it was enough to recognize that it was a flavored tea.

A fruity, mild green tea. The pomegranate is more hidden, with the raspberry a bit more forward. I dislike green teas, so I drank this CommuniTEA iced with sugar. The fruity flavors were strong enough to hide the fishy green flavors this way.

This tea was nice and mild. I'm not a green tea enthusiast, it has to be the right blend. This one was decent. It wasn't overly grassy, with the fruit mellowing it down. However, it was not a fruit forward tea by any means. Overall, I felt it was a fairly generic sip. The kind I'd be perfectly happy with if it was brought to me as my 'hot tea' order at brunch in a restaurant. But probably not one I'll go out of my way to purchase for my personal stock.

This is a mild and smooth green tea, without the hay taste I associate with many greens. It doesn't have a lot of pomegranate flavor, just a hint of a fruity tone. The tea has a nice soft mouthfeel that I don't usually associate with green teas. Toward the end of the cup I noted a mineral flavor that wasn't apparent when hot.

I liked the flavor of the green tea itself, but the pomegranate flavor wasn't very present in my CommuniTEA cup.

Fruity pomegranate scents drifted out of today's CommuniTEA packet. Steeping with the white tea button on the VelociTEA maker brewed this tea for 3 mins at 180ºF. The tea was a light yellow green color, and smelled fresh and fruity.

While warm, the fruity pomegranate mingles amidst fresh green tea with very mild levels of astringency. The pomegranate is not tart at all, but instead bright and fruity. When cold, the green tea provides a bit more bitterness while the pomegranate flavor is still wonderfully present in each sip.

This one is surprisingly good, and packs a lot of pomegranate flavor into each sip. Makes a great afternoon tea both warm or cold. I didn't try with sweetener, but I'm sure it would work well especially when iced.

This brewed up into a very nice green tea. It was extremely smooth, and soft with no grassy or harsh flavors at all. A little astringency but not overly so. The fruit flavor was very mild, and hard to identify as pomegranate.

Today's tea is a very pleasant but mild experience, I'm finding it tasting different with each sip. Some sips are just a smooth, floral green tea and then the next sip has a punch of tart pomegranates and sweet raspberries. I think it's a great green for those who are not green tea fans, or who maybe want to explore that side of tea more.

Nice cup of tea with a little fruit on the pallette. If you don't like fruit teas too much this one if a great one to try.

I cold brewed my Communitea sample and was very happy with the results. The green tea was mildly grassy and the pomegranate was present without overpowering the brew

CommuniTEA review: This is a really nice green tea, but I'm not getting the fruit flavors at all (and I didn't see any fruit in the packet.) Maybe just the randomness of packaging?

★★★★☆

Very nice mild green tea with no green grassy taste at all. Mild fruit flavor, I could take more personally. As this one chilled the pomegranate was more pronounced.

Slightly grassy and not at all fruity.

It's okay, but not anything special.

This tea makes for a refreshing cup. I don't know if I could have identified the flavor specifically as pomegranate without knowing, but there is a pleasantly sweet-tart flavor that complements the simple green tea well. I actually thought the raspberry was more noticeable, partially thanks, I assume, to the raspberry leaves. As the tea cooled, the fruit became more pronounced but not overly so. Overall, it makes for a nicely balanced and nuanced cup of tea, pleasant both without and with a touch of honey (which I added on my second steep). ~3 minutes at 175F

This is such a light and refreshing tea! I steeped for 2 min, poured over ice, and have really enjoyed it all day. I ended up adding some blue agave for sweetener and that made it even better. I usually prefer unsweetened teas, but with this one it was much better with a touch of sweet. Pomegranate Green is a great blend of ingredients. It seems like every sip is a little different though. Sometimes I taste more of the green tea and sometimes I taste more of the fruit. Now, before I even take a drink I toss my tumbler up and down to mix the flavors around a bit. Great tea to try!

185 degrees for 3 minutes. I think the keyword for this green tea, at least for me, was 'subtle'. When hot, I tasted soft floral notes and a mild raspberry tang. As it cooled, the flavors of the green tea itself became more apparent. Sweetened, this tea taste lightly fruity, and astringent. This isn't a really potent tea, and honestly, I don't think it needs to be. The delicate flavors compliment each other for a peaceful and reflective brew.

Mild green tea balances the bold taste of pomegranate out for a wonderful cup of tea for a sunny spring day.

I agree with another reviewer - I, too, was expecting more from this tea. It's light, and there is nothing disagreeable about it. It's just nothing special in my opinion. Would have like a bit more fruitiness I guess.

Tried as a communiTea sample. This is a nice green tea but can't say I picked up on much pomengranate. Maybe this was just my sample?

Really loving this one. The fruit flavor is light and complements the base green tea perfectly. A very very mellow flavor, with pleasant but not overpowering grassy notes dancing with the hint of pomegranate flavor. Refreshing and quite enjoyable.

Cold steeped overnight, this made a very mild refreshing iced tea. The tea itself played star, with a nice light astringency and no seaweed or grassy notes. The pomegranate sat on the sidelines, sending in a light cheer to make sure their presence was known. At last note, the raspberry added only a slight bitterness as is it’s practice. Considering all three of these ingredients are on my “nope!” List, it was a very pleasant cup indeed!

This is a mild green tea accented with a light fruity flavor. I find this fruit flavor much more subtle and well balanced than the strawberry in the White Strawberry Basil tea (yesterday's Communitea packet). Nothing too exciting for me, but pleasant. Not bitter and would probably be good iced too.

Very good flavor, reminds me of fall. Not super fruity but a pleasant accompaniment to the green tea. Cinnamon isn’t listed as an ingredient but I could have swore I tasted it. Must just be thinking fall!

This tea was nice, but not something I would purchase. My packet was missing any visible raspberries. However, I picked up on the raspberry flavors. The tartness of the pomegranate was minimal, I wish I had more of that.

This was light and refreshing, with no grassy notes (which usually turn me off). There was a subtle hint of pomegranate, which was not completely fake tasting, but more like a flavored candy than the actual fruit. The fruit flavor gets stronger as the tea cools, and I bet this would be excellent iced. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 3 min @ 180F)

Received in my communitea box. I'm not a fan of green teas or raspberries, so this was a pass for me.

★★★★☆

I enjoyed today's tea as an iced tea. Such a unique flavor profile; I don't often go for GREENS but this fruit combo won me over. Removed one star just because this tea is supplemented with RASPBERRY LEAVES & RASPBERRIES, only Pomegranate FLAVOR. I understand they are similarly tart but frankly are different. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA April 2021 box.

The CT packet smells lovely of raspberries. Truthfully I haven't had pomegranate since I was 10 so I don't know what it tastes like. This tea however tasted more of just raspberry to me or maybe the two fruits play off each other im not sure. I think as it cools the Pom comes more out. Slight astringency. Overall a pleasant cup of tea.

Pomegranate and raspberry - check! Tart and sweet - check! Green tea flavor - hiding subtly in the background. This is exactly what it says it is - pomegranate green. The green tea flavor is a little mellower than I'd prefer, but still comes through. The tartness of the pomegranate is what makes this tea special. I think I'd have preferred it in the afternoon over a morning tea as I just want want to sit and relax and take a break while enjoying this smiley tea.

I found this to be a pretty standard green tea. It's not bad, but it also isn't terribly exciting for me. I didn't really notice any fruity flavors, just green tea.

Tasting with the CommuniTEA today:
I get mainly a grassy, green tea scent from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 2:35 mins at 185° F, I notice a powdery red berry/raspberry scent along with subtle grassy green on the nose and palate when I take a sip. Similar to other flavored green teas I've tasted, there is a subtle powdery essence about this tea, reminiscent to childhood flavored powder drinks.

This isn't a bad tea, but I wouldn't have known it was supposed to be pomegranate flavored if I hadn't read the ingredients. It smells earthy, green, and fresh all at once in the packet. The taste to me is mostly a mild green tea with balanced grassy and buttery notes and a medium astringency. There is a light berry flavor in the background that adds a subtle fruitness, but was difficult to pick out. I usually don't sweeten my green teas, but I ended up adding some honey to this one and it seemed to bring out some floral and fruity flavors a bit more. I think it may be better iced so would probably order some more to try it that way.

This was disappointing. I can't taste pomegranate in the tea. The thought of improving it with pomegranate seeds was on my mind until I read the ingredients to the packet. Raspberries are in it. I can probably enjoy Raspberry Green Tea more over this.

I don't like green teas; they're too grassy for me. That said, in this tea, I can at least also taste the fruity flavor under that grassiness. It's less grassy when it's hot and moreso when it cools down, for me, but if you like pomegranate and you like green teas, this is for you. As someone who likes the former but kind of hates the latter, this one is not for me.

Nice light fruity berry flavor that works well with the green tea. There’s a bit of grassiness but it’s not too off putting.

Mild green tea with a hint of fruity flavor. I wish there was more pomegranate in this pomegranate tea. However, my husband loves it iced.

This is a good basic green tea blend. I wish the pomegranate flavors were more prominent though. A little sugar brought them forward a bit more and brightened the tea, but I also like this plain. This tea is not too astringent and light and grassy. I bet it would be delightful iced. My husband helped me sip this today and agreed with me that this could have more prominent flavor notes, but he did think it was a nice light sip overall. :) Drink this and your days will be fruitful! Happy Sipping!

There's a mismatch for me between the flavors of the fruit and the green. Both would probably be good individually but I didn't enjoy the pairing.

I really wanted to love this one but there was just something missing! It was a delightful and the smell was amazing, but I really couldn't taste the pomegranate. I could taste some fruit and floral. Overall though it wasn't what I expected but still good.

I was expecting today's CommuniTea brew to be rosier in hue -- pomegranate anything is generally pretty vivid -- but my packet of pomegranate green was more circumspect -- clear and tawny. Deeply inhaled, the scent of pomegranate was obvious; otherwise, it was just a whiff of fragrance. Sipping the tea, it was a pleasant green. Only after swallowing did you taste the pomegranate. A distinctly understated cold brew. (Cold brewed in 10 oz of water in the refrigerator for nine and a half hours)

Some people love the base green of sencha. I don't. It makes it taste like seaweed with maybe a hint of hot pomegranate juice. Imagine going to the beach and putting seaweed in a giant cooler of pomegranate juice for decoration. That's the taste. I wish they used a different green, maybe it would save it.
