★★★☆☆

I hate giving anything lower than three stars because I feel that people automatically discount a product that’s 2 stars or lower. Pi Lo Chun just literally wasn’t my cup of tea! The earthiness was more pronounced than I would’ve liked, and I didn’t catch the smokiness others mention. I powered through the sample I had, but it’s just not one I’ll order for myself. Everyone’s palate is different though, so if earthier green tea is your thing then give this one a whirl!

I like a savory tea once in a while, but this one just didn’t hit the mark for me.

Clean, crisp, lightly smoky, bright. A pretty standard green but a good cup.

Sweet, floral green tea. I normally stay away from green teas, but this was pleasant.

Ok Adagio, you got me. Here is a green tea I actually like. I would make sure to only brew it for the recommended 2 minutes. What I cannot figure out is why it is subtly sweet. You finally did it! I cannot say I don't like green tea so easily anymore.

I never sweeten green teas, so I'm really picky about the taste. That said, usually my biggest complaint is when I drink a green tea that's not flavorful enough. Pi Lo Chun is not too foward, but it's not shy and retiring either. Definitely not a green tea that needs to be condemned to a blend in order to give it some flavor. Description is accurate. Love both the taste and aroma.

The first couple of sips were strong, but as I continue to drink I can taste the floral notes and more of the delicate flavors. I may have steeped it slightly longer than recommended since I was trying to take a picture, but it didn't ruin the tea.

I don’t measure water temperature, but by looking at the delicate leaves I saw this called for 1” of cool water in a medium mug of boiling. Brewed in cooler water, this is bright, vegetal green tea. The reviews says smoky, which makes sense as I read it, though I tasted a green almost umami flavor which might be that I can’t detect smoke in green tea. I tried this with CommuniTea and will definitely be ordering more.

The 'floral-smokey' flavor in Adagio's description is spot on. This is a delicate green tea that brews to a beautiful daffodil color, and the flavor is consistent. Not my favorite green, but this is a delicious one that is a bit more on the flowery notes than the grassy.

A classic green tea--sweet, grassy and as the description says, smoky-floral. No bitterness. A very enjoyable cup for green tea lovers.

Oh this IS a lovely treat! The leaves smell a lot like the high quality Timothy I used to feed my rabbit. I couldn't resist sticking my face deep in for a second sniff! The flavor takes me back to long walks in the temperate rainforests I roamed all summer as a kid in the Pacific Northwest.

I have finally come to terms with the fact that I just don’t like green tea. This didn’t change my mind. :(

This one surprised me, I was very pleasantly surprised by how light and pleasant this one was both hot and iced, I may just have to add this one into my rotation as a really delightful solid green.

quite an interesting flavour! the hints of smokiness - i know this is a chinese tea but it's sending my taste buds back to some ochazuke i had. i might steep at a bit lower temperature than 180 next time, maybe 160-70, see how that is; i think even at 180 some flavor feels lost.
overall - not my favourite kind of green tea but definitely nice to try. soothing on this breezy day.

One of my favorite teas. Crisp and refreshing. Pairs good with Jasmine dragon pearls if you want to mix them.

Someone mentioned this tea reminding them of smoked salmon and I say that's spot on! With a light smokiness this brew is incredible!

Light and easy, but not so wimpy that it's boring. Earthy and slightly floral taste. Aroma has a soil, almost subtle smoke, character to it. Maybe a mild mineral note? Pretty nice looking leaves once they open. The character changes quickly with relatively small changes in steeping time and tea amount, so I recommend experimenting a bit to suit your taste. This could be a good everyday green tea.

The Pi Lo Chun from Adagio is excellent. I have ordered lower quality elsewhere prior to hearing about Adagio. This is the tea I drink the most. I don't seem to ever get tired of it. 2 minutes for first steep and 3 minutes for second steep. I typically rotate this tea with 2-3 others. I highly recommend.

This tastes enough 'not green' that I like it. Not a fan of grassy, at all. If I want something a little different from my typical Gunpowder, Sleeping Dragon, or Dragonwell, this is a very pleasant change of pace.

The tea had a nice butter flower smell but just a subtle taste. using a bit more than recommended was the remedy, use spring or bottled water because any chlorine will alter the flavor.

This is my favorite morning tea! I would recommend first to pour hot water in the teapot and then put tea leaves, which slowly sink to the bottom and then unfold.

4 1/2 stars, really. A great daily green tea, but a slight cut above the usual. I give it to myself as a present on Friday mornings for making it through the work week. Recommend brewing at 2.5 minutes with 175 degree water.

Definitely a more savory, smoky choice. I didn't get the floral element as much as I had hoped but this is a good cup.

This is an extremely pleasant China green. It has little of the grassy flavor that seems to haunt these teas. However what most draws me to this particular type is the remarkable, feathery appearance of the silvery, dry tea leaves. This fact always makes brewing this tea a little special. 14.88 points out of 20.

Basically just tastes like green snails. That may be the point, but it's not to my liking. I added fresh mint and that helped immensely.

This one has a nice round taste. It's got just a touch of smoke to it, yes, and a 'warm' sort of flavor sitting on the tongue. I doubt it will be one of my regulars, since when I want smoky I usually go for Sleeping Dragon or Gunpowder, but it was nice.

I bought a sample of this and it quickly became one of my favorites. Out of all the green tea I ve tried this tea re-steeps the best. Second pot almost identical to the first. Steeped at 190 for 2 minutes, 20 seconds
