This one did not stick out to me very much out of all the green teas. I prefer gunpowder.

★★★★☆

strong floral notes with a slight fruity undertone. i was surprised at how strong it was after only two minutes!

Pi lo chun is a tough tea for me to review. I like it, but I have trouble getting it to come out right. Have tried a thousand different time, temperature, and volume variations and it just always seems hit or miss for me. When you get it right though, it's really good.

When I brewed this tea, it smelled like dragonwell. The taste, however, was nice with all the flavors I enjoy in a green tea. Great green tea!

★★★★☆

Not the best green I've had in this price range, but close. Floral is the perfect descriptive for its aroma, and savory describes it's flavor and mouth feel. Not too grassy or vegetal, this is a very pleasant tea with a complimentary astrigent aftertaste. Good for several steeps.

Different from others I've had. This one was more sweet and less earthy that others that I've tried. Nice cup.

★★★★★

I'm not a fan of green tea, but this is the perfect green tea. Thank you.

★★★★★

This is delicious. Not vegetal at all. Fantastic aroma.

'Floral' is the best descriptor for this tea. Just about everything about it is subtle, but if you give it enough time, it has a great aroma and a hint of sweetness.

I've always like this tea for its beautiful color

★★★★☆

I like this tea, it has a soft honey / milky taste that is quite nice.

Beautiful on the nose! It is amazing to see what Chinese green teas can do! It is sweet with a light floral aroma. It retains a good amount of aroma when steeped but does not do well with water over 180. 170-175 for barely 2 mins is better and it brews a great liquor, light and fruity.

I first tried pi lo chun while living in Asia and enjoyed it more than any other green tea I'd ever tried. The tea they sell on Adagio is as good as any I've had, and it's far less expensive than anywhere else I've seen.

★★★★☆

A very light liquor, pale yellow in color. Reminds me somewhat of Dragonwell the way I brewed it - gongfu style in multiple short infusions. Nothing super special to differentiate it from other similar greens, and I'd say I much prefer Pouchongs to this type. Overall, a daily drinker if you're into Chinese greens, but pass over this one if you're looking for something special.

One of my absolute favorite green teas from Adagio! I love this one hot, warm, room temperature OR iced. It's light, it's refreshing even when hot, and it has a very smooth finish. I definitely reorder this one every time I start to run even slightly low. A definite must-try for anyone who loves green tea.

the pi lo chun green tea was a bit different than my normal taste for green teas. it had a lighter taste and seemed to need extra brewing time to get a nicer more rounded flavor

★★★★★

First time purchase of Pi lo chun green tea, but won't be my last. There's something special about this tea, especially to my senses. It has a very clean taste but with a lot of character changes that I enjoy throughout the sipping experience. Even several minutes after I've finished drinking the tea, I continue to enjoy the smell and taste that makes this mysterious tea such a pleasure to drink.

I love this tea. It has an interesting mouthfeel that seems like drinking milk or something very rich. At the same time the actual taste is sweet and fresh. I wonder if it's an effect of the down on the bud portions of the leaves. Anyway, I really enjoyed this, and it has become a favorite green tea of mine. I would suggest a low brewing temp though, since this tea is pretty delicate.

I love the complex flavors with this tea. A fasinating tea! It is exactly as the description for this tea says. It's floral, sweet yet has just a touch of a smoky flavor to it. I will buy this tea again.

Pretty good green tea. Mellow but refreshing flavor.

★★★☆☆

not one of my favorites, as it turns out... too much of a pekoe-kind of flavor to it for my taste. I prefer the genmai green tea. I got the Pi Lo Chun in a sampler and it was good to try it that way.

★★★★☆

A nice green tea. Not too complicated and generally tasty.

This stuff was ok in taste

I've been drinking loose tea since 2006. This is a great green tea to enjoy in the afternoon. Watch out

★★★★★

distinct, heavy green tea flavor that has a 'grassy' taste to it. the best green tea on the menu thus far...

★★★★★

When I took my first sip of this tea, I almost did not like due to how different it tasted from the other green teas that I had before. Floral and smoky indeed. I likey!

Very similar to White Monkey and at a reasonable price.

Works well as a dependable green tea. Nice aromas and a good distinct taste

★★★★☆

Nice, smoky green tea. I enjoy drinking this every evening before bed.

This is a light, mild green tea. Not tasteless, just not overpowering. It has a vegetal flavor, but not too strong or grassy. Stands up well to multiple brews. Great value, too. As others have said, make sure you don't steep it too long or it will get bitter.

This tea is earthy and sweet at the same time. I like it. It might benefit from a lower temperature than 180.

★★★★★

A wonderfully brothy and flavorful green tea. A staple in my tea nook.

★★★★★

This tea has a nice mild flavor to it. A great flavor for the price.

★★★★★

Amazing, simply amazing. I feel this tea has a very nice flavor, not too strong, but certainly not too light. The smell is very nice as well, not overwhelming. The color is also great. Totally recommended.

★★★★★

Exactly the green tea I was looking for - relatively light but very flavorful.

★★★★★

very delicate, very satisfying tea. well worth the price.

★★★☆☆

Pretty basic, not a whole lot of flavor. Becomes bitter very easily. Beyond the bitterness I can't discern much flavor here other than a very subtle basic green tea flavor. Forget this tea and go for the White Monkey.

Delicious light flavor, rebrews well, and is a great mixer. We were already avid Pi Lo Chun fans, and had been cut off from our previous suppliers (no names mentioned of course...Tea *cough* va *hack* na..) so we were thrilled to be able to once again acquire Pi Lo Chun in bulk. Thanks Adagio! You quite literally make my day everyday. #TeaAddict

My favorite end-of-Winter tea. The medium body, floral fragrance, and long finish are delicious. Think of Spring as you enjoy the lingering flavor.

★☆☆☆☆

I feel terrible saying that this tea is so bad. I hope it's just my personal taste. I felt like I was drinking rotting grass from my lawn. Definitely not for me.

★★★☆☆

Not grassy, but my first cup was a bit bitter. Lower temp water and shorter dteep was the answer.

★★★★★

A quite delicious tea, although do not brew too long or too hot and you will get a bitter concoction. Smooth light flavor, not too smoky so a good beginners tea, great to start a morning with.

★★★★☆

A very good green (not great). Almost tastes jasmine-y.

★★★★☆

I think this is a good green tea to introduce someone to greens, not to grassy not too strong with a light floral aroma to it. I like the gunpowder more for its stronger flavor.

★★★★★

One of my favorite green teas now. Delicate, sweet, and not grassy in flavor. Excellent any time of the day as well as either hot or cold. I was worried from the description that it would be too earthy tasting but I didn't find this to be the case at all.

★★★★★

My favorite green, it's smooth and great for every day

★★★★★

Awesome green with no grassy-ness, just a smooth, crisp, light flavor. Instantly one of my favorite greens.

★★★☆☆

I personally think no tea is a bad tea, but if you're like me and don't care too much for green tea then just skip over this one. It doesn't have anything particularly 'special' about it.

★★★★★

Very likely my favorite green tea yet, most definitely the best bang for the buck.

A good solid green tea. Not as smokey as I like.
