I really enjoyed this tea iced in the spring and summer.

I have a sensitive nose so I tend to shy away from teas like Lapsang Souchong and most Chais. Some herbal fruit teas are like such a kick in the face to me they can be too much unless I'm in the mood for them. That said, I really appreciate this Melonberry Green. It isn't so in your face as to be obnoxious. I brewed it warm but I imagine it is very refreshing iced. It does seem like one of those perfect candidates for iced summer tea and I bet this would enhance the flavor. I bought a sample and the smell of watermelon was very prominent when I opened the bag. Once brewed it was a pleasant strawberry-watermelon taste but now the smell of strawberries was the dominant scent. Neither flavor overpowered the other and together they make a delicious cup. As I continue to sip I find this tea, even warm, is delightfully refreshing. I think I needed this today. Big sigh. I feel better.

Nice iced green tea. Melon and berry flavors predominantly forward when cold, and finished with a nice grassy green tea taste. Would love to try cold brewing this tea to see how it does.

A beautifully fruity, balanced cup. The melon is not overpowering.

Pretty good green tea. Could definitely taste the berry which is a nice switch for me.

I am usually not a fruit herbal tea type of person yet this particular green tea with fruit flavoring is one I actually do enjoy. Green tea with the right fruit combo of strawberry and watermelon made this one enjoyable for me. It tasted good without an overpowering flavor. I have yet to try as an ice tea.

this one is really good. love the melon bits you can see

A fruity green tea. A must try! Really like this tea.

★★★★☆

This is a really solid, refreshing tea. Adding a bit of dried lime leaf before steeping the tea was the perfect addition to an already delicious tea.

★★★★★

Tastes really good iced, It tastes okay hot.

★★★☆☆

It seemed to have to much of a bitter taste and if you add enough honey or sugar to offset the bitterness then the honey/sugar overpowered the flavor.

★★★★★

Beautifully flavored green tea. As a green tea, it is one of my favorites!

★★★★☆

The melon comes through nicely, but not overpowering. A nice tea overall.

I tried this in the spring teas sampler last year, and though I tend to like fruity greens I really didn't like it.  It's one of the very rare times I eventually just threw out what was left of the sample pouch because no matter how I tried it (different steep times/temps, iced, etc.), this tea and I were not compatible.  I thought it could have been a bad batch or pouch, so I was glad to have this chance to try it again through CommuniTEA!  Turns out I feel the same this time around!  Made one cup, tried it warm, added more and more honey to make it better, then tried chilling it, and then tossed the remaining 3/4 of the cup -- which is very rare for me.  Something about the hibiscus with the green or the combo of ingredients seemed to bring out the worst in the green tea for me, and created sort of a muddled flavor.  Obv there are people who love this tea, so I feel reminded that no one likes everything, and we all have different taste buds.  I felt like it improved a little bit with sweetener, and was dramatically improved by chilling so I can see why people like it iced.

The description has a suggestion of drinking this tea cold with a spring of mint. So I tried it both hot and cold! I really enjoyed it cold! I might try this again in the summer to see if I like it better cold. But as a hot tea on this COLD 1st of February is was fun having some sunshine and summer in my cup!

The earthy smell of this one almost put me off but the taste was lighter. I liked the fruit but it just felt kind of...blah.

I thought the green tea was a good vehicle. It took a back seat to the fruity flavors in the blend. First I tasted a little berry, followed by subtle melon, and green tea just kind of dancing in the background. No sweetener needed and I'm eager to try it iced.

Call me crazy but I like a touch of artificial watermelon flavor and that’s the predominant smell in my CommuniTEA packet. Although it’s recommended as an iced tea, I preferred this hot. I actually picked up more of the usual green tea aftertaste as this cooled, which seems to be the opposite of most member experiences today. I didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it, but I’m glad for the opportunity to try these flavors I’d never have tried on my own.

It was good but I mostly tasted the green tea. Far less of the fruit than usual with Adagio teas!

A delicate green tea without the typical grassiness--more like a white tea. I steeped at 180F x 2 minutes for the first steep, and 3 minutes for the second. A tiny bit of honey brings out the strawberry and watermelon flavors without overpowering the tea. Tastes even better as it cools. Would be good to try iced with a sprig of mint, as noted in the tea's description.

Delicious smell when I opened the bag, but not much taste. The taste is mild and pleasant, but there should be more of it. Maybe if I doubled the tea blend, it would taste more.

★★★★☆

Mostly a green berry tea, I did pick up a bit of the melon flavor. More melon would take my review from 4 stars to 5.

This tea has the understated sturdiness of green with delicate flourishes of watermelon and strawberry. The latter is much more prominent than the former but it still comes together to make a lovely blend.

I don’t care for hibiscus and avoid many teas with it in them. However, i did not notice the hibiscus in it. Upon opening the bag, the smell reminded me of a fruity bubblegum. The smell was much more fruity after sitting in the warm water. I found the taste to be more berry heavy than green tea or melon. It was an easy to enjoy tea.

I was pleasantly surprised by this light and fruity green tea. I normally don't like green teas because they are often too 'grassy.' This one was different. I steeped using my VelociTEA kettle on the green tea setting ( 165 degrees) for 2 min. I added some rock sugar to bring out the fruit flavors. I much preferred it after it cooled. If I was brew again I would try it brewed hot then iced. This was probably one of my favorite green teas so far.

This tea had a wonderful melon smell and brewed a very pale green color. The melon was more notable in my sample than the berry, it was a slight flavor that complimented the tea without being overwhelming or superficial. The tea re-brewed well, and was exceptionally refreshing as an iced tea. Again, I barely noticed any berry flavor in my tea, but that could have been because very few raspberry pieces were included in my sample.

Today’s communiTea tea, a delicate green tea, covered in fruity blend. When I emptied my packet a big fat strawberry peeked at me, as it tumbled beneath apples, and lots of red pieces within my loose leaves. As it steeped, a very pleasant fruity aroma filled my kitchen. I decided to add a touch of adagio honey to my tea which I feel helped enhance more berry/melon flavor. Each sip didn’t disappoint, but drinker beware this is a very delicate green tea, so you may prefer it served over ice to appreciate its delicious notes. (4 mins @ 175f 1st steep hot, 2nd steeped and then chilled) nice

Melonberry Green Tea. 180 degrees for 3 minutes. Light and refreshing with subtle watermelon aftertaste. My mom hates tea and enjoyed 3 full sips from my cup.

I preferred this tea iced. The watermelon berry flavor really shined through as the tea cooled.

I seemed to only have one small hibiscus piece and there didn't appear to be any strawberry in my packet this morning. The flavors fell a but flat for me. I would like to give this tea another try with a better distribution of ingredients. I will say that the aroma of this tea was fantastic

The fresh summery smell from the bag was welcome this cold morning. The tea had great flavour when hot. However as it cooled it lost some flavour. Still a very nice tea.

This is a solid green tea. The other flavors of the strawberry and watermelon help balance out the green astringent flavor. It does need extra sweetener. But it is a light refreshing tea

Very mild smooth background green tea flavor. Fruit flavor is sweet and tart.
An enjoyable brew.

Well this is just a riddle wrapped in an enigma. A weird blend. Sweet, a little savory? Do I like it? I honestly have no idea.

This tea was a nice change of pace for me, as I am used to drinking mostly unflavored green teas. While the strong smell of flavoring coming directly from the packet when opened was off putting to me, once brewed at the recommended 180 degrees for 2 1/2 minutes it was a very pleasant, smooth green tea with a non-overwhelming amount of fruit flavoring. I'm not very good at picking out nuanced flavors and I drink most flavored teas with sugar, but I still enjoyed the first half of my cup without sugar, and the sugar I added to the second half enhanced the fruit flavors that were already present. I'm not sure I would buy this tea for myself because I prefer flavored black teas, but it was still more than pleasant enough.

I was struggling to taste the watermelon or strawberry in this tea. It was okay, but not a tea I would likely return to.

If offered this tea I would drink it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to have it. I don't love green tea to begin with, and this one was on the grassier side of things. Each sip tasted like plain green tea, but the lingering taste in my mouth was like I had just chewed a piece of watermelon bubble yum. As it cooled, I got more berry and melon in the sip, but not much. I think it would probably be better iced than hot. (reviewed through CommuniTEA; 3 min @ 180F)

This smells super fruity in the packet, but in practice the fruit flavor is super mild and gentle. The watermelon isn't artificial, which was a pleasant surprise, and the strawberry is equally light and watery and doesn't overwhelm. The hibiscus notes in this are subtle and don't lend their typical bitter tang to things, which makes this an excellent 'anytime' type of tea. I can easily see myself drinking this both in the summer and winter, which is unexpected for a fruity tea. I feel like the flavor of this leans much further towards being a green tea than a fruity one, and I like that a lot more than I expected to.

The scent of the CommuniTea packet was very green, grassy - not much fruit fragrance, which usually comes with fruit infused teas. My packet had a lonely little apple piece, a smattering of strawberry bits, and a good sprinkle of hibiscus.
The first steep was strong, had a bit of a dry, grassy flavor, but the strawberry flavor was also predominant, even when hot (usually I don't notice fruit flavors until the tea has cooled a bit). As it cooled the strawberry showed it's full potential - sweet, & just a bit tart from the hibiscus.
I managed 3 steeps from my sample. The strawberry flavor stood strong through the first 2 steeps, it was more subdued by the time I got to the 3rd, but the natural green tea flavor was still present and enjoyable.
I sweetened all 3 steeps with sugar.
Steeped (1) 175F 2.5m, (2) 180F 3m, (3) 180F 4m

Not a bad green tea, but not a great green tea. I brewed it for 4 minutes at 180 degrees Fahrenheit without issue; my CommuniTEA packet came with about 2 teaspoons of leaves, so I doubled the water to 16oz. In the description it says 'better served iced,' so that's probably the route to take with this one if you like the ingredients.

Normally green teas are at the bottom of my preference list, but this one is a keeper. The hint of mint kept it from tasting like grass, and the fruit notes were quite pleasant. Bonus that it smelled delicious!

I am a big fan of fruity teas and this one did not disappoint. I steeped it for 3 minutes and it was perfect. It reminds me of a summer time tea

For a green tea, I like this one. As a tea in general, it’s a bit odd. The melon and berry flavors are slightly artificial to me. The green flavor of the tea is present when hot, but definitely mellows out when iced. It’s an interesting tea, but I’m not sure I would go out of my way to drink it again.

It's fruity, but very mild. I wasn't particularly impressed with this warm; it fared better iced, but either way it's not the sort of tea I was looking for today--or anytime before summer settles in.

The smell of my communiTEA packet was very sharp with a comforting smell of watermelon. It's hard to describe the flavor on this one. It's light and the watermelon is noticeable, but there seems to be another flavor hiding in it as well. I'm guessing it's the strawberry. As it cooled, more flavors were present. There was a very slight tartness which I assume was the hibiscus. I resteeped with less water and the taste was just barely there (similar to flavored fizzy water). It's a pleasant and refreshing taste, I assume it would delightful in the summer, but the flavor is too weak for me to buy.

I found this green tea to be smooth with a hint of strawberry apple flavor. This golden-colored tea was most enjoyable when sweetened with mild honey that brought out a light apple berry taste. The watermelon flavor was hard to detect although all the ingredients listed on the CommuniTEA packet seemed to be there.

A census of the packet yielded 5 nicely sized apple pieces and a variety of 20 small red bits, a probable mix of dried strawberry, watermelon, and hibiscus. With two full teaspoons present with a generous amount of ingredients, I was surprised that the berry taste was as mild as it was.

The loose tea had a sweet aroma before brewing which all but vanished upon steeping. The taste of the hot tea was slightly grass-like but mild. The fresh hay-like taste was later joined by an apple berry flavor as the tea cooled. The watermelon flavor, however, never appeared for me and its flavor may have been overwhelmed by the other ingredients. The hibiscus, I feel, lent some tartness to the apple berry taste. Adding a bit of mild-tasting honey brought out the best in this tea and made it a delightful sip.

Upon brewing, no bitterness was experienced and a small amount of astringency was detected with a slightly dry mouthfeel at the finish. Two steeps were made at 175F for 3 minutes using 12 oz. of water and 2 teaspoons of tea. I’m happy to give this mild green tea with a touch of brisk berry flavor a 5-star rating. The watermelon I didn't taste was not missed or if it was there, it was more helpful behind the scenes than I knew. A no matter no melon but very berry good tea.
