Wow never thought these 2 giants would be brought together so thankful
The toastiness of our sencha and roasted rice genmaicha with our gently grassy, Uji-grown matcha make for a rich and complex vibrant green cup.

Wow never thought these 2 giants would be brought together so thankful
Tastes a bit popcorny, which I think it's supposed to, but I'm not sure if I like it.
The perfect tea to drink while I’m waiting on my matcha whisk to soak in the mornings!
First off, I really like the Genmaicha, it is a staple tea for me. This is the same tea but with some added Matcha. The matcha does add a nice bit of texture and extra flavour, not sure if I would say that is better, but it is definitely a good tea as well.
Toasty green tea blend! Enjoyable and different than any other tea I’ve had from adagio. Refreshing and satisfying cuppa! Viscous thick infusion.
Oh, oh, how interesting. In the bag, there is still the toastyness from the brown rice, but toned down from what you get from thregular Genmai Cha. Once steeped you really get a true blend of the two types of tea. The nutty toasty flavor hits first, but finishes with slightly sweet grassyness from the matcha that lingers.
Adagio really knocked it out of the park with this one. Genmaicha has been my first cup of tea in the morning for as long as I can remember. I was thinking of adding some Gyokuro to it to 'spice it up'. And then, Adagio released 'Matcha Genmaicha'. What a great blend ! Added new interest to my long-time staple.
When I drink a cup of this, I am taken back to Japan, Japanese inns and winter evenings around the kotatsu. It's mild and relaxing, not rough at all. I'm ready to head off to an onsen just thinking about it.
I love this tea, it is very different than teas I would normally go for. The predominant flavor is the toasted rice. It also has a grassy taste, which reminds me of seaweed.
Genmaicha and Matcha Genmaicha are my favorite traditional green teas (despite not otherwise being a Sencha fan which is weird), and this one from Adagio did not disappoint. Rich umami grassy flavors with delicious toasty nutty highlights combine for a soothing complex tea.
This is one of my favorite teas. I love the nutty flavor the toasted rice gives to the green tea. This is my daily go to!
This is Genmai Cha with matcha dumped on it. Usually when I have a free sample added to my order, I'll go the BOGO route and add another sample to pay. If you like Genmai cha, you will love Matcha Genmaicha. Just don't use too much leaves and don't drink too much. I'm sure this will be even better as a latte.
Adagio's Matcha Genmaicha is the second version of this tea I've tried and theirs is, far and away, the winner. I love matcha. I love genmaicha. Together they're just outright heavenly. And the fresher the better. Bought a sample bag and had to come back fast for a bigger one because the sample outright evaporated and became one with my being. Nutty more than anything (me, too), and just grassy enough to satisfy, this tea gets a double thumbs up from me. More, please.
My favorite Genmaicha, ordering a big bag next time.
This is a fun one. I generally don't like matcha, but in this, it adds an earthy flavor that works well with the genmaicha (which is worth having on its own, too)
This is a real upgrade to genmaicha! I love the green color and extra punch of green tea flavor from the matcha. The toasted, malty flavor of the roasted rice still shines through for a real treat of a tea.
Beautiful light blend of matcha with a subtle addition of flavor!
At first, I wasn't super fond of this tea. I'm not the biggest fan of matcha because of its really grassy flavor, but after continuing to drink because I'm not going to waste a perfectly good cup, I began finding that the grassy flavor was balanced really nicely by the toasted rice.
This is my all time favorite. It has a very nice earthy flavor and is very different from other green teas because of the addition of the brown rice and popcorn
I love matcha and genmaicha, so I was excited to try this new tea out. Unfortunately, the matcha flavors don't come through as much as I had hoped. It's still good, just not exactly what I expected.
I first tasted this as a sample and was immediately a fan. In the package, it's got an earthy smell. In the cup, it's complex, yet light. Sweet but not fake. It's got a hearty taste that doesn't overwhelm or feel heavy. It's a full mouth experience.
When I got the sample size of this tea and tried it I immediately added a 4 ounce bag of it to my cart. I love it and find it to be quite soothing. I love the toasty rice combined with the green. This is going to be a staple in my tea cupboard from now on.
It has that nice toasty rice flavor just like regular genmaicha. The matcha is very subtle, I pretty much missed it. Maybe if you like matcha tea it's worth a try- it's really different from other teas on here.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if matcha and genmaicha had a tea baby? Wonder no more because Adagio has created their version of this genius combination and it is delicious! This robust, antioxidant packed blend is fantastic! The toasty, nutty flavor of the genmaicha is elevated by the addition of the classic vegetal, nutty flavor of matcha. This one will be a staple in my tea pantry. Sip, sip away!
