When I open the bag, it smelled like lemon meringue. The green tea taste more of a mellow lemon taste, but very creamy and enjoyable.

Wonderful lemon Mergine pie blend. The pie taste is there with a smooth , creamy and mild lemon pie taste. Delicious!

I love this one cold brewed with no additives. So sweet and refreshing! It’s a great tea to sip during spring.

The moment you open the package, there is no doubt what tea this is! It made my mouth water in anticipation of a slice of perfectly tart but sweet lemon meringue pie. I was afraid that the taste wouldn't live up to the hype of the fragrance, but I was so wrong. Bright lemon without being tart with smooth notes of fluffy meringue from the creme and vanilla and a subtle base of green tea to give it all something to stand on. I made it hot and cooled over ice since I didn't have a proper cold brew vessel with me on vacation and didn't have to add any sweetener to bring out any of the flavors at all, but I can see how a touch of honey would make this even more pie-like. This might be the first 16oz bag I end up buying because I love it that much!

I love all meringue
This tea: delicate and sweet
Is it pie? Maybe.

CommuniTEA 4/5/22: I like this much better hot than cold. Hot: much more lemon and grassy taste. Cold: cream and vanilla more prevalent and the lemon takes on a more artificial flavor, like lemon soap. Not as good.

Wow! I wouldn't have thought it possible to make green tea taste like lemon meringue, but they've managed to do just that. Yum!

Surprisingly good. The reason I didn't give it a full five stars is that I thought it had the tiniest bit of an artificially sweet lemon taste, but I had added a full tablespoon of honey, so maybe that is why, but I liked it anyway. It kind of reminded me of the Lemon Meringue doll I got for Christmas when I was a kid (I wanted Strawberry Shortcake, but she was sold out.) LOL

This tea was good, but very, very mild. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who enjoys strong flavors.

The Lemon Meringue Tea definitely shouts “Spring” to me. Upon opening the packet there was no question that lemon was the main ingredient. Lovely aroma combination of green tea, marigold, and lemon — all saying spring has arrived, Rejoice!

Since I am a major fan of green tea and lemon — not necessarily together — this tea blend is one of my favorites. Adagio has a winner here, especially after a long winter of darkness!

Steeping Notes — 150 degrees for 5+ minutes in Tea Traveler mug without major astringency. .

This is a wonderful tea! I cold brewed today's communiTEA sample, and the lemon was very forward more tart, with a hint of green tea.

So delicious! Usually I don’t tend to like vanilla/cream style teas(the vanilla/cream flavor tends to come off tasting artificial), but this one is spectacular! Tastes exactly like a piece of Lemon Meringue Pie.

I usually shy away from green teas as they tend to have a grassy taste that I don't really like. This one however was wonderful with no hint of grassiness. It has a great lemony creamy taste and I found it to be a perfect Spring tea!

I brewed this one gung fu style starting with 30 second infusions and moving up 10 seconds with each subsequent steeping. The lemon notes were prominent and luscious but well rounded by the subtle vanilla and cream. I would have liked a bit more of the green tea flavor notes to come through but overall a really nice brewing session.

Ah, lemon. My long-time nemesis, you have me this time. How perplexed I was to...enjoy(?!) the scent from today's CT packet.

Lemon and I usually never get along, but this tea is actually quite pleasant. I tip my hat to the blend of flavors here--apple, vanilla, creme--pulling their weight in reining in the sharper citrus notes; they do a marvellous job of taming the tartness down and leaving the lemon and orange flavors to be enjoyed to the fullest. I've noticed with a few past CT teas that green teas with lots of citrus tend to taste very fresh and crisp when cold, so I opted to cold brew this one and it really was enjoyable. Very much puts me in mind of Spring!

Lemony, Creamy, a bit tart, and very light. It has a wonderful lemon meringue pie aftertaste and is a wonderful sip in the summer time. It is excellent both hot and iced.

CommuniTEA portion: This was the second time I have tried this tea. I steeped it at a lower temp today (165/2.5) and it was more enjoyable for me than at 180. I am a green tea lover - but i don't get as much of the lemon and cream as I thought I would. I am going to try this as a cold brew soon and see if the flavors pop more for me. Overall, enjoyable.

A CommuniTEA sample. This tea does not disappoint and tastes exactly as described. Lemon, creamy and smooth. Joy in a cup! 3.5 grams in my sample so enough for two cups. I'm brewing another pot right now! Enjoy.

I had more of a citrus taste than lemon meringue taste. This tea actually reminded me of lemon pudding cakes (think a choc lava cake but with lemon cake and filling).

I'm not always big on green tea but this was very good! The lemon was light and slightly tart like lemon curd in a pie. I added a little bit of sweetener to bring out more of the lemon flavor and to really bring out the feeling of lemon meringue pie. The smell of the tea reminds me of the lemon lollipops you get at the doctors or the bank.

This lemon meringue green tea is SUCH a treat! The lemon and cream flavors work so perfectly together with a gentle green tea. I love how bright and calm this blend makes me feel. I add a bit of sugar to sweeten it up. 3 mins @ 180°F

Lemon Meringue Green smells just like lemon meringue pie. Brewed it tastes more lemon green than pie, but very good. It’s equally good cold as it is hot.

The dry leaves really smelled like lemon meringue! So much so
I sniffed the bag the entire time the tea was infusing, lol. A delightful green tea blend. Every flavor melded together beautifully. Tastes slightly like a lemon drop candy. Aftertaste is refreshing sweet lemon.

4/22: Cold brewed the tea this time and I am happy I did! The lemon flavor came through even better. This tea is really light and refreshing iced I think I prefer it this way.
last year: Enjoyed this tea. Steeped for 3 mins @ 180°. The tea was very tasty and light, just like a lemon meringue pie.

I first found this tea after joining the CommuniTEA in the summer of 2020.
Everyone kept talking about it. Have never been a green tea fan. ( used to steep it wrong) I would have never dreamed I would even try this.
But one day I decided to try a sample. And it ended up as one of my top five must haves!
Little sugar and you will be in sweet pie heaven ( with out the calories)

2021: The CommuniTEA has featured several lemon teas in a row, one of which I really loved, and I’m hesitant with green teas in the first place so the deck was stacked against Lemon Meringue Green today. Unfortunately I oversteeped so there’s a lingering bitter aftertaste, but that is my fault. I needed to add much more rock sugar than I hoped in order to finish. This was still the most palatable green tea I’ve encountered yet and would echo the recommendations of others: this is something worth trying, green tea fan or not.

As a general rule, I’m not a fan of green teas. This blend was an exception, however. From the aroma when opening the package to the last sip, I found this tea a delight. The flavor of lemon was crisp and smooth and paired wonderfully with the green tea flavor. Will be ordering this one!

This tea smelled delicious when I opened the packet. I don’t like green tea so my first thought was I hope this tea tastes like it smells. IT DOES! I could definitely pick up in the creme and vanilla and it really did taste like Lemon Meringue Pie. Finally, a green tea I actually really like!

I'm so disappointed in this one! The reviews are great and say it's not too grassy. I get zero lemon flavor, only grassy green tea. I'm not a green tea fan, so take my review with a grain of salt, but I thought this would be a nice mellow green with a lemon-vanilla flavor but it was fairly flavorless (except that grassiness). I'm glad I only ordered a sample.

I really like this, either I add a little extra lemon or leave it as is. Has a lovely subtle creamy flavor. The lemon is soft but there.

This springtime release from Adagio is reminiscent of a caffeinated version of The Republic of Tea s Lemon Chiffon Cuppa Cake tea, with a base of green tea instead of green rooibos. It has plenty of sweet notes and is like sipping dessert.

I was hoping this would be sweeter. The smell is strong and a bit different than expected though it does not taste as it smells the taste is not as strong as I expected.

From the first sniff in the package, it's got that too sweet smell of a grocery store cake. Maybe too many 'flavors' for me? I just don't get the enjoyment. No lemon that I could smell or taste. None of my comforting green tea vibes. It's just a blend that leaves me blah.

I got this one last spring, and was so excited to see it come back. Green teas aren't normally my jam, but this one has been really nice. I shy away from flavored teas, because they often have an artificial taste. But this one doesn't have that, and it just light and refreshing.

tart, sweet, lemony. this tea is super good! i added a little squeeze of lemon for an even bigger lemon kick @adagioteas

I've been drinking this one for a while - thank goodness it's available year-round by redeeming reward points! This sip is silky smooth all the way through with perfectly balanced lemon and creme flavors. It is certainly like pie in a cup... No sweetener needed!

UPDATE: I brewed this tea the next day at a lower temp. 170F instead of 180F, and that made all the difference. It's a much lighter tea now with a hint of lemon and cream. It certainly won't hit you over the head screaming, 'Hey, I'm a lemon meringue pie!' but I can tell now what they were going for when namin this one.
I'm not gonna lie... I'm a fair bit disappointed by this tea. If I didn't know this was lemon meringue tea, wouldn't know it was lemon meringue tea. The scent of the packet gives me more lemony notes than the actual brewed tea which has more of a peach flavor to it than anything else. I might try different times and temps for brewing and see if that impacts things. It also has a fairly grassy flavor. Not a bad tea, but just not what I was hoping for.

A nice, if fairly delicate and light flavor. Green teas are not my favorite, but this makes for A nice cup that isn’t a straight green.

I just can't get enough of this tea. It smells absolutely incredible and tastes smoother than anything should have a right to. I've already finished my sample bag and need to get more!

Bought for my mom to mix in with a more traditional black tea. She enjoyed it.

1/30/21 Update - still a favorite! I grabbed a giant bag the last time it was in season. Highly recommended.

Picked up a sample to try, and I'm so glad I did. Just opening the bag made my mouth water... delicious in scent and flavor!

The lemon is more rounded and sweet than tart. Enjoyable and present without being in our face - not like a lemon drop/cough drop at all. Added a spoonful of honey and it really brought out the creaminess.

The green tea itself I can smell, especially in the initial steep and a tiny bit on the tongue, but it's not a strong flavor in itself.

Will definitely be purchasing a bigger bag.
