An excellent balanced lemon green mix. I will be getting it outside of communitea. Brew no higher than 200, and for short steeps.
Blended with green tea, and the natural flavors of lemon, vanilla, and cream, it's the perfect springtime treat.

An excellent balanced lemon green mix. I will be getting it outside of communitea. Brew no higher than 200, and for short steeps.
For someone who loves lemon desserts, I can see this being an excellent tea. It was pleasant enough, and certainly, the vanilla adds a nice softness to the lemon edge, but the creme flavor came through strongly in both my steeps as a distinct flavor and not as a subtle smoothness in texture. Personally, I found it distracted from the freshness of the vanilla and lemon. But take this review with a grain of salt; lemon merengue pie is not my first choice dessert.
Lemon, & cream, & green, oh my! Triple threat of good flavors. Lemon & tea just go so well together in general, but add in a bit of cream & you’ve got yourself a bangin dessert tea! On account of my sweet tooth, I also chuck in a bit of sugar.
Steeped 180F 3min
Received in my communitea pack. I'm not a fan of green teas, but the smell of this was much more pleasant than other teas we've had this month. Still couldn't drink it, but almost!
Today's communiTea packet is lemon meringue green, a light and pleasant tea. Out of the packet it smells like lemon meringue. I was worried that it might be cloudy when I read that it was creamy, but it brewed up a pretty clear yellow. The lemon tasted much more natural than another tea earlier in the week. All in all, a nice brew.
It us a good decent tea with lemon and creme flavors, but I feel as though there are much better lemon teas available on this site. It does rebrew well like all teas I have been give in the CommuniTEA box.
Nice. Not my favorite. A bit creamy for me. But lovely. Light color and smooth taste.
What a wonderful green tea! It's reminiscent of a sweet, tart piece of pie, with just a hint of creaminess. I had mine hot, but I am sure it is great iced as well.
The flavor is perfect, and the green tea isn't too bitter or sharp or 'spinachy' tasting like some are. I would eagerly accept another cup of this!
A delicate grassy tea that reminded me of lemon balm leaves soaked in water.
Had this as my workday was ending. I was intrigued by the delicious lemony odor as I opened the bag. Once the cup had steeped (3 min @ 180 F) I squawked as I had no sugar. So with trepidation I sipped. I sipped again. And I smiled. Even without a touch of sweetener this tea was incredibly smooth and tasty. I truly enjoyed it.
This tea was delicious. It had a lovely lemon meringue flavor without being over powering. I don't usually add sugar to my green tea but this tea is enhanced with a little bit of sugar.
I'm finding that I'm not a fan of the teas that have 'natural lemon flavor', as the flavor tastes like fake lemon to me. Having said that, the lemon in this tea was not too strong and the vanilla and creme flavors complement it well. A bit of cream and sugar were tasty, but those additions did wash out the lemon flavor quite a bit. This tea is not 'green-tasting', grassy or bitter, so even those who are not green tea lovers should be able to enjoy it. If you like lemon but want a gentle and creamy dose of it, this tea is a good bet for you.
I really liked this green tea. The scent when I first opened the packet is vanilla followed by apple and lemon. It brewed up with those same flavors. Steeped for 2 min. 30 seconds. Lemon and creamy vanilla flavors with some apple as well. The vanilla taste lingers. I don't think any sweetener is needed but then I don't usually add anything to my tea.
I didn’t really get the creamy merengue notes, but the lemon flavor is fantastic. This tea is really nice with just a touch of lemon juice.
I steeped a heaping teaspoon of this tea for 2.5 minutes. It is naturally sweet without anything added. I first noticed the green tea flavor, then the lemon and vanilla. After the first sip, the flavors blended more. It did not need any sugar. My second cup had less vanilla flavor so it tasted like a lemony green tea. This tea seems to be best with a bit of sugar. I didn't notice any grassiness with either cup. It's definitely worth trying a sample when you can get it in the spring.
I just love the smell of this tea when you open the pouch. Although it is a green tea, you taste more lemon and vanilla. I have enjoyed this both hot and cold. My daughter doesn't care for green tea , but I am going to share some with her. Brewed at 180 for 3 minutes.
Absolutely lovely! The smell of the tea is absolutely divine. The lemon flavor is so delicious! I have a feeling I will need to order some more of this tea!
This is a really nice tea! The lemon and vanilla blend nicely together, without any one flavor overpowering the others. It's a lovely springtime treat.
I'm not usually a fan of green tea but this blend is out of this world! It reminds me of my grandma's lemon sugar cookies, and I didn't even add sweetener.
I had already had a chance to try this one as it is in the spring tea sampler. It’s a very good green tea with a strong lemon flavor. Very enjoyable!
I'm so glad to finally be able to write a review for this tea! I keep using my loyalty points to get it, but it doesn't give me the option to review since I haven't technically bought it.
Before steeping, this tea has a very marshmallowy, lemony scent. I would say this is one tea where the taste matches the scent really well, with the added flavor of green tea when brewed. However, I'd be extremely cautious not to over-steep this tea. If you use hotter than recommend water, or leave the leaves longer than recommend, the green tea will start to overpower the lovely lemon flavor.
I generally don't add sugar to green tea, but there's something in this tea that makes it just a tiny bit bitter, so I always add the smallest amount of sugar to take care of it.
I am a citrus person and I absolutely adore this tea. It hits the spot for my sweet tooth every time.
I really enjoyed this tea, which was good because I had high hopes for it! The aroma was lemony without being too sweet or artificial. The flavor was bright and light. The lemon was noticeable without being overwhelming and was a great way to start a spring day!
A very pleasant lemon-bread aroma! The recommended brewing time will leave you with a slightly-too-weak tea, though; give it five and it's perfect!
Smells exactly like a lemon meringue pie! :D Usually you would smell the green tea alongside, but the lemon and vanilla scents are strong. Not in a bad overwhelming way, however.
Upon sipping you start to get the grassiness of the green tea, but it compliments very well with the other flavors.
I wasn't sure I would like this one at all, since lemon isn't my favorite flavor profile when it comes to teas. But this is really nice. The lemon pairs well with the green and offers a pleasantly balanced taste with a mild astringency.
185 degrees for 3 minutes. I admired the pale straw colored brew in my glass mug today that smelled strongly of lemongrass essential oil. When unsweetened, strong citrus notes come forward. Sweetening the tea brings out creamy, honeyed notes and subtle fruit flavors, and like most teas, the flavors intensified as it cooled. Although this isn't my favorite lemon tea, it was still pretty good.
Update, since this came up in the CommuniTEA today. Still just as good today as it was the first time I had it. I stocked up last year while it was still in season, and haven't regretted having it in the tea cabinet all year.
Original Review (May 24th '20): I am not a green tea drinker, I have never liked the taste. I bought a sample of this tea at the recommendation of another non-green tea drinker who really liked it. I thought it was really tasty, and is a green tea that I finally like, not just tolerate. It is refreshing and lemony, not grassy at all, and the lemon flavor was smooth, not fake or acidic.
The tea smelled absolutely delicious just like lemon meringue pie but I think the green tea flavor overpowered the lemon and cream. I may have let it steep a bit too long. I found the lemon to be a bit light.
I’ve tried this one cold brewed and hot, and I like it best cold. Light and lemony, and the green tea is very mild when cold steeped. I think I can honestly say that lemon isn’t my favorite Adagio flavoring.
This is a crisp light tea. I enjoyed it as an iced tea and it really did taste and smell like lemon meringue pie. Adding to my wishlist. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA April 2021 box.
This tea did not disappoint. I kept hearing how delicious it was and couldn’t wait to try it. Green tea is my go to beverage because of health benefits, taste and ease of drinking hot or cold. I find that some are just too creative for my taste. Give me green tea simple and delicious as it is or perfectly blended as this one is.
Trying along with the CommuniTEA: Powdery lemon scent with an accent of cream detected from the dry ingredients. After steeping for 3 mins at 185° F, I notice more powdery lemon scent wafting from my cup. When I take a sip, I notice a slight lemon and grassy green tea notes, followed by a very subtle lemon meringue pie finish. Adding the apple bits from the packet back to my cup after steeping helps bring out the fruit flavors. I would also suggest using less water to tea ratio for this one if you like strong flavored teas.
Typically I'm not as fond of the earthy notes that come with green teas, but the lemon and vanilla play with those more rustic tones in a way that harkens to oat pie crusts. A wonderfully charming flavor that makes me want to pull out the pie tins and make a proper lemon curd, it goes very well with honey or a bit of lemon preserves if you happen to have some, to give it some of the sweetness its flavor profile plays well with. A very charming cup of tea, that brews clear and tastes floral and bright before any additions to the cup by a drinker.
This is my favorite green tea! The bright lemon pairs perfectly with the creamy vanilla. Absolutely delicious!
Sunny and bright, what's not to love? I'm a green tea stan, but usually love it plain and unadulterated. This is an example of when some additives actually work for me! This tea is spring in a cup. It's lemony and grassy and to me, perfection. No wonder it's one of Adagio's most loved seasonal blends! I drank it plain, but can see where sugar and honey could make it even better! Let the sun shine in! Happy Sipping!
I really enjoy this tea. Great surprise in my morning Communitea packet since it was an herbal packet. Quite happy to have a green.
I did purchase this tea in my last order and my son has gone through lots of it as an iced tea. Very happy with this one.
I was looking forward to this one since several CommuniTea members call it a favorite, but to me it was just ok. The flavor profile is very similar to the rooibos lemon cloud that we had a few days ago, but with more subdued lemon and cream flavors and more of the of the green tea flavor coming forward. For the same flavor I’d reach for the rooibos blend over this one.
This is my favorite green tea so far. I’m definitely buying a bag!
Sweet and creamy lemon aroma and flavor, surprisingly like lemon meringue pie. No need for sweetener with this cup, unless you're looking for dessert. Very tasty and no green tea grassiness. Perfect to brighten your spring day!
This is delicious! What a pleasant surprise given its a green tea and I generally don't like those because they're usually way too grassy for me.
Instead of a mouthful of grass, what I'm tasting in this cup is quite literally what it says on the tin. The creamy lemon flavor is light and fluffy and I'd love to know what it tastes like cooled or iced but I finished it before it had a chance to get cold because I enjoyed it so much so...I have no idea. Definitely loved this one!
I love all the ingredients but was worried the vanilla and crème would overpower the fruit. So happy it was a perfect blend and you could pick out the green team, lemon, marigold and a warm hint of vanilla. Great job!
It is a nice mild green tea with a hint of lemon flavour. The green does overpower the lemon slightly
Great lemon flavor. Tastes like a lemon cookie if you add some vanilla milk.
This will be the third time I’ve reviewed this tea. Twice as a communiTEA member and once for a purchased bag. My review style has changed over the past year, but the words still hold true. The only thing to note is that I used ¼ teaspoon of sugar. This blend is the real deal! ...
22 May 20 review: I thought I was drinking a lemon meringue pie ... go figure! All the flavors blended nicely to produce an extremely drinkable sipper tea. Found out about this one as a 4 April 20 CommuniTEA sample. Now I have it on-the-shelf! Added sugar for the whole pie effect.
Delicious blend! It brews up into a pale, cloudy yellow cup with a lemony aroma. Tastes very smooth and the green tea and lemon and cream flavors go perfectly together. Very nice spring tea!
Oh my goodness, yes, I finally get to review this! It's so dang good! Especially iced! I love it so much.
This is a lovely cup of tea! Just opening the packet makes me smile with the lovely lemon aroma. It brews into a soft green tea with that same aroma. Even plain it's somewhat sweet and enjoyable to drink warm or cooled off because you left it to the side. I brewed a second cup and added a packet of sweetener and it's a true cup of desert tea. An easy way to kill a sweet tooth craving!
I have rated this tea before after cashing in review points for a bag, and this tea is phenomenal. Hot it's so tasty the lemon and cream are so complementary to the green tea. My favorite thing to do with this tea is to ice it. It's literally pie in a cup. I'll never get sick of this tea. Hopefully I never run out. Top 10 teas for sure.
I was bingewatching the original 'Dallas' and was totally engrossed in who was having an affair with so-and-so's wife and who was screwing over who when I brewed my first cup of this blend. At first sip, I stopped caring about who fathered John Ross Ewing III and wishing that J.R. would just get shot already...that is how yummy this tea is.
The aroma is straight-up lemon merengue pie. Lemon, vanilla, and creme. Totally delicious!
The flavor is light. All of the flavors shine brilliantly against the background of spring-fresh green tea. This really spring in a cup! Probably the best thing about this tea is that I didn't need to add any sweetner to bring out the flavors and add a tough of sweetness. The green tea added natural sweetness to the blend.
Definitely try this blend, even if you arent a fan of green teas. I promise it'll be worth your while.
If ya'll will excuse me, I'll be going back to sipping this luscious tea and obssessing over all the drama at Southfork Ranch...
