Jasmine Yin Hao Customer Reviews

A deeply floral Yin Hao ('Silver Tip') grade jasmine from Fujian, China. Very layered fragrance, soft yet full-bodied with a sweet, slight dryness in the finish. Infused with jasmine many times over to create a truly unforgettable cup.

I think this is a little bit of an improvement from the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls we had a while ago. I still don't like jasmine teas. The perfume smell is there but its taste is lighter. I still won't be buying it. Today's community after the sipping was given to my oldest daughter who enjoys it more than me.

Perfect jasmine tea. The flavor and scent is very pure. The 1st Jasmine tea I have found that tastes like tea served in Shenzhen restaurants.

Jasmine tea for the jasmine lover! The aroma is beautiful, and it brews up to a very strong jasmine flavored tea. The base tea is smooth and has a nice astringency at the finish.

I don’t normally like jasmine or perfumey teas, but this was pretty good

A delightful sip, this light and airy Jasmine tea could be an everyday go-to. Like putting on comfy sweats, there are no big statements here. This is an easy-breezy cuppa that is pleasantly Jasmine in aroma and taste unlike it’s more showy and aromatic cousin, Dragon Phoenix Pearls.

With careful brewing at 175F, the first steep awakened the curled silver-tipped leaves after 3:30 minutes. The golden pale green liquor sipped when warm yielded an agreeable amount of Jasmine taste with an aroma to match. No bitterness was detected and just the right amount of vegetal green tea taste came through at the finish. This relaxing yet brisk tea had a slight astringency with a dry mouthfeel at the end.

A re-steep for 3 min. using another 12 oz. of water was still flavorful. By this time, all the opened leaves were at the bottom of my IngenuiTEA. After sipping plain which was pleasing, I tried sweetening with honey. This brightened all floral and buttery green flavors for a heavenly sip. I found Jasmine Yin Hao to be a lovely and satisfying 5-star tea for me and enjoyed this through CommuniTEA today.

I don’t care for the smell or taste of jasmine so this tea was definitely not for me.

So far, I'm finding I really like jasmine teas, which is surprising to me. Normally I don't like floral, perfume-y teas at all...and green tea is not my favorite. But I'm finding a few surprises here and there...and jasmine teas seem to be one of them! This tea is quite aromatic, but not overly so. The jasmine is bold, but not enough to be cloying. No grassy notes. Just a light floral kiss. Love it! Very calming and enjoyable! The flavor and scent of jasmine, for me, isn't really all that floral (not like roses for example) but more of a sweet herbal scent/taste with notes of grain and hay...that's the best way I can describe it. mmmm :) 180F, 3 minutes.

This is a smooth, sweet tea with a jasmine scent and taste that is prominent but not overwhelming. There's no grassiness or bitterness in this cup, just a slight dry finish. A rebrew is a bit more vegetal and less floral, but just as tasty and satisfying.
The depth of this tea intensifies as it cools. The flavors won't knock your socks off, so if you are looking for a subtle and pleasant cup this is just right for a restful morning.

I thought I liked jasmine pearls the best but clearly I was wrong. This tea completely blew me away. It was sweet and smooth but not as floral as the pearls. I added sugar which mellowed it out even more.

I’m a sucker for almost any kind of Jasmine green tea it seems and this one won me over with each delicious, yet delicate note. I steeped this tea for a little over 2 minutes, but still under 3 minutes.

The jasmine scent and flavor are SO generous! I am living for this tea! To me, Jasmine Yin Hao is more 'delicate' and ephemeral than its siblings Jasmine Phoenix Pearls and Jasmine Chun Hao. To elaborate, I prefer strong milk teas (akin to the punch of whiskey), so I usually have to grind Jasmine Yin Hao with a mortal and pestle or a electric spice grinder to intensify the flavor of the tea for homemade jasmine milk tea. (After steeping the tea, I usually mix it with condensed milk and honey.)

Jasmine junkies of the world unite... pour le Jasmin quotidien. The jasmine comes through strong in the first steep and is still present for a second.
For when I don't have time to string out the pearls, this in my new everyday.

This is an enjoyable jasmine tea with an up front floral scent. 2 infusions easily per teaspoon of leaf, I do the first infusion at 2 minutes and the second for 4, both 180 degrees.

Really fragrant (even after steeped), and I love that it wasn't bitter! A good cup of jasmine tea that Uncle Iroh would enjoy.

Delicious jasmine flavor, wonderful aroma. My hot tea of choice in the morning. I love the light floral flavor. Just the right amount of caffeine for me in the morning to get going without feeling jittery or upsetting an empty stomach.

Pretty good jasmine green tea, but I’ll likely try another for my next order

★★★★★

One of the best Jasmine teas I have had. The Jasmine is not overpowering.

★★★★☆

It’s a nice Jasmine green. I feel the balance of the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls is more to my liking and the Yin Hao doesn’t have the same result in multiple infusions as the Pearls.

★★★★★

My favorite jasmine tea across companies I've tried, based on the flavor to price ratio. Fantastic quality for the price. Delicate jasmine flavor, and it stands up to multiple steepings (though it gets more light after a while, of course, but unlike other brands the jasmine has good staying power without being cloying). Highly recommend.

Had been craving a good jasmine tea and this flavor delivered. Reminds me of tea at a good Chinese restaurant.

Excellent tea, sort of a celebration type tea. It always relaxes me and makes me feel very peaceful. Don't steep too long or it gets bitter, I make it in one pot and pour off into another so my tea leaves stay ready for another infusion! That's a plus, too, two or three pots off each set of leaves!

Very delicate green tea; tastes almost like what you get at a Chinese restaurant but the jasmine flavor really takes it a step up

★★★★★

This is a really nice tea. I think I prefer the Jasmine Pearls instead but definitely a close second and definitely better than tea bags.

If you like jasmine teas with a strong floral aroma and flavor, you will like this one. It's very smooth and balanced, no bitterness detected and it has a light natural sweetness. Light and fragrant with just a bit of dryness in the finish that makes you want to keep sipping. To me this one is more floral than the Jasmine Chun Hao that Adagio also carries which has more of a toasty base note that comes through from the green tea. I enjoy both varieties, and would go for the Yin Hao when I want a stronger floral flavor.

I am a fan of jasmine green tea, way beyond the bag stage. I find jasmine yin hao to be the most fragrant of any I have tried. The floral notes are evident the moment you open the package and do not disappoint until the last drop is consumed. - An excellent tea!
