Jasmine Yin Hao Customer Reviews

A deeply floral Yin Hao ('Silver Tip') grade jasmine from Fujian, China. Very layered fragrance, soft yet full-bodied with a sweet, slight dryness in the finish. Infused with jasmine many times over to create a truly unforgettable cup.

You can never go wrong with jasmine tea :) Very fragrant. It would make a nice jasmine milk tea

Can t go wrong with adagio s jasmines. Smells and tastes great.

One of my favorite jasmine teas though it’s a tad bit expensive when you order in bulk

Fragrant and delightful. I love teas that make me feel like I’m in a garden.

Undeniably floral jasmine aroma and flavor, but with a nice balance between the green tea notes and the jasmine --- meaning that I can really taste the green tea and the jasmine is a little bit more subtle than in the jasmine chun hao and the phoenix pearls.  Adagio's description is spot on, including the dryness and slight mineral quality in the finish, which makes it a little bit more savory than the other two jasmine teas I mentioned (though it still has a natural sweetness).  I think I prefer the jasmine chun hao for more frequent drinking (more floral, but not as strongly floral as the pearls), but this is quite lovely.  Elegant even.  It almost tastes like it's for special occasions, and after seeing the price point is a little higher, that checks out! (2.25 mins @ 180º; two steeps)

Not the best jasmine I've ever had, but definitely not the worst. Disappointed that it's not more flavorful. I have steeped at 3 minutes and 4 minutes.

Other than the fancy Fujian and Jasmine Phoenix Pearls this is my favorite Jasmine tea. Much softer taste than Chun Hao. I actually mixed the two and enjoyed it very much. But otherwise great on its own.

★★★★★

A good jasmine tea. Smelled very floral, but the taste was more mellow. Got three good steeps out of it and enjoyed sipping it hot and cold. (Reviewed through communiTEA; 2 min @ 180F)

There is jasmine tea, and then there is Adagio Jasmin Yin Hao tea! The floral aroma of this tea is very strong, but the flavor is soft and smooth with a slight dryness at the finish. There is a pleasant sweetness when sipped plain, but it also handles a drop of honey well. The jasmine floral aroma lingers through several steeps (I got 5 from my CommuniTEA sample), which makes it very affordable.

I love anything jasmine! This is an enjoyable, buttery smooth jasmine tea. Can be steeped multiple times.

Nice fragrant jasmine tea, good for multiple steeps. Like every other Jasmine I’ve tried, it gets a little bitter when cold.

180 degrees for 2 minutes. Definitely a very floral green jasmine tea, but also mellow and pleasant. This tea is good for experienced and novice jasmine tea drinkers alike. I will likely reorder this one for a future cuppa!

A nice refreshing green tea. I like the Jasmine flavor. Added sweetener

This is a fantastic jasmine tea. The flavor, and fragrance is very front and forward. It’s a great tea for multiple steeps. My husband loves jasmine teas, and this may be he new favorite. Even as someone who only likes florals, I greatly enjoyed this.

A nice green tea. The jasmine was not as strong as the jasmine phoenix pearls I tried recently. The jasmine was a strong flavor, yes, but I able to also actually taste the green tea base. In comparison, this tea's jasmine flavor wasn't as overwhelming as pearls. The flavor stuck around for 3 steeps, of course getting just a bit weaker with each additional steep.
Tastes good with sugar.

Perfect balance of green tea and light, floral jasmine.

On opening the CommuniTEA packet there was a mild floral jasmine scent. Not too heavy or too much like perfume. I brewed this tea 4 times over the afternoon. The first and last I accidentally over-steeped so my star rating is based on the other two cups. There was never any grassiness, or bitterness even when over-steeped. I used 160 F for all cups as that is the default for green teas on the VelociTEA. I added 1/2 tsp Splenda to the 2nd cup, 1/2 tsp Monk fruit to the 3rd cup and 1/4 tsp honey to the 4th cup. The first cup had no additions. Surprisingly to me the cup with Splenda tasted the best. It was smooth and had a nice mouthfeel. Only the over-steeped cups had a lingering astringency. Of all the Jasmine teas we have tried so far this is by far my favorite.

Had a nice portion of tea in my packet so I threw it all in my ingenuity to brew up. Although I am not a huge fan of floral teas, this one was nicely balanced, enough scent and taste to make it interesting while not being too cloying and perfume. I actually did a second steep to see what kind of taste I'd get, and the second cup was as nice as the first. A very zen kind of tea experience.

A light jasmine that makes for a delicious cup. Slightly dry finish with no bitterness

Part of the February 2021 CommuniTEA box. Another jasmine tea in this month’s box? Too awesome! Once again the scent and flavor delights me with a wave of nostalgia from a favorite Asian lunch spot.

★★☆☆☆

The aroma in the packet was fruity. So, I had some hope I might like this Jasmine tea. Unfortunately, it still tasted like perfume to me. I tried adding some honey. It helped a little but not enough for my taste.

The Jasmine had the right amount of floral flavor. The smell was welcoming.

This is a delicate, mild jasmine tea whose aroma is not overwhelmingly floral and a taste that floats over your tongue. Only a touch of green tea bitterness shows up as it cools. The 2nd steep is just as impressively jasmine.

This tea is not for me. This was a communiTEA tea. I steeped it for the correct amount of time but it honestly tasted bitter. Tasted rather medicinal to me also.

★★☆☆☆

Mild jasmine flavor but mostly just plain green tea imho

I am a jasmine lover and this totally hit the spot. The dry leaves are perfumy. At first I worried that this tea would be too perfumy but was pleasantly surprised when it wasnt. The flavor is light and gently floral. So glad I got a chance to try this. I will purchase a full-sized bag of this tea with my next order!

I’m not a fan of floral teas generally. Jasmine tea for the jasmine lover. Perfumey funk that tells my nose not to drink. I sampled this Tea as part of the CommuniTEA February Box

My CommuniTEA packet smelled delightfully like jasmine. When steeped for 2.5 minutes, it does not taste like perfume. The flavor seemed stronger than the Jasmine Chun Hao, but that may be because I used a bit less water. This tea is not naturally sweet. A bit of sugar actually weakened the flavor and added hints of bitterness in my experience. The resteep did not have much flavor, but was still noticeable. If I want to get a jasmine tea, this one is at the top of my list.

Mmmm, delicious jasmine flavor! Very tasty and wallpaper flavor! Oishii Desu!

Its a light jasmine flavor, not too floral, its kind of a normal jasmine tea to me.

I loooove a good jasmine. First steep I steeped for around 3 minutes and the water was probably too hot so I got a lot of bitterness. Second steep with cooler water, for just under two minutes, and it's lovely.

As I just sipped this for the first time, I questioned whether I'm starting to like green teas a lot less than years ago. I think the main turn off for me is jasmine; I just don't like the flowery aroma and taste. Brewed at 180°F for 2.75 minutes.

I couldn't even brew this tea because again, it had that Desitin Diaper Rash Ointment aroma to it. I threw the unbrewed packet right into the trash. I think I've found a tea I despise even more than plain green. Sorry, Jasmine. We can never be friends.

Another beautiful sophisticated Jasmine green! Steeped at a lower temperature of 180° for 3 minutes, the fragrance was tantalizing and floral. The floral notes carry through to the taste. Jasmine teas are a wonderful zen-like experience!

After a 2 minute steep at 175F, I'm greeted by a light golden brew with a delicate floral aroma. The jasmine flavor is lighter here than in other teas - definitely jasmine, but not as in-your-face about it. It has an almost creamy quality which is unexpected but very pleasant. The green tea gives a slight leafy/grassy taste underneath the floral notes, which complements but doesn't distract. There's a very mild astringency that lends a nice crispness to the end of each sip.

This is a lovely, dreamy tea. I actually had trouble focusing on writing this review as the tea lulled me into meditative thought! Perfect for steeping many times and with good depth of flavor, this tea can do no wrong.

I’m a black tea drinker but I’ll give something a try. The aroma of this tea smell like Japanese cedar lining or something. I don’t care for the smell or taste.

★★★★★

This is one of my favorite green teas. It has light floral notes and just a tiny hint of astringency that make it a delicious cuppa. Just be careful not to oversteep this one because it can become bitter when oversteeped.

I think this may be my favorite of the jasmine teas that I have tasted. I found Jasmine Chun Hao to be 'over the top' in terms of jasmine flavor. I thought Jasmine Pheonix Pearls was a little 'perfumy'. Jasmine Yin Hao seems to be well balanced. I find it to be the 'Goldilocks' of jasmine teas...just right in terms of aroma and flavor.

Great jasmine tea! Maybe a bit less intense than the jasmine pheonix pearls? The first sips were a little salty as quality green teas often seem to be on my palate. I steeped for 3 minutes and at first wished I had stopped sooner. But the flavor was perfect as it cooled a bit. Maybe 2 minutes 30 seconds next time though.

I love a good jasmine tea. This has a lovely bright jasmine aroma that follows through into a bold jasmine taste, with a slightly tannic finish. Smooth and delicious.

This jasmine tea has a more subtle jasmine flavor than the jasmine Phoenix pearls. I am getting a mineral taste at the end of the sip. I am finding that I actually do enjoy jasmine teas.

I love a jasmine tea, but this one is too mild for me. I'd prefer a stronger jasmine flavor.

★★★★☆

Very potent fragrance that bleeds into the taste, but not in an overwhelming way. A very pleasant, yet pretty intense green tea.

★★★☆☆

the flavor profile isn't one that i like for green teas. but a nice sample to try for the end of the month.

This is the first jasmine tea I would consider getting again. I am usually just not a jasmine tea person, but this is strong and I love it. Really dark flavor. I am really not sure how to describe this flavor. It's like a base autumn evening with developing storms full of character from the green tea, but sun beams are just cutting through the storm clouds providing a distinct bright glimmer on life. 180 F @ 3 min

Tasting with the CommuniTEA: Lots of floral jasmine notes on the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped as recommended, I detect a nose of jasmine and butter. When I take a sip, nice jasmine scent without being overwhelming followed by a dry, earthy green tea finish on the palate. This tea seems balanced between the natural essence of the tea and the infused jasmine.
