Jasmine Chun Hao Customer Reviews

A classic jasmine tea from Fujian, China, infused with the delicate scent of night-blooming jasmine flowers. Sweet perfumy cup, notes of warmed sugar, slightly toasty like a fresh biscuit. Light, refreshing and not overwhelmingly floral.

Wow! Amazing jasmine tea. I was given a gongfu set from a friend that visited China. That set included some really good jasmine tea with it. I thought that was some of the best tea I had ever had, but this is better! No astringency what so ever! I steeped at 172 degrees for 30 second intervals like I normally do with the other jasmine tea I was given. I’ll have to try it at 3 minutes tomorrow like the bag suggests.

Something about Jasmine green tea makes it the perfect stress-tonic for me. A cup of this one really helps me find my zen! I love the light floral flavor, and the aroma is just heavenly.

★★★★★

This is really toasty tasting. When brewed well, it has a mild floral scent and a warm, buttered toast depth of flavor. If overbrewed or brewed too hot, it takes on a burnt toast kind of acrid background. It’s not bad, but it’s much better when not brewed too hot.

I like to mix this with the lemon meringue green in the summer as an iced tea.

★★★★☆

This smells okay. A little more of a pungent almost hay smell that I got out of the bag. To me this is an overly bitter tea, but even throughout all of the bitterness I noticed a floral taste. I absolutely love the Jasmine Pearl tea and think that is way superior to this. Just my opinion.

Update: I must've been having an off day before. This smells and tastes great! I think this has a little more mellower of a taste than the Jasmine Yin Hao and Jasmine Pearls. Giving it a 4 because it is great, but not my favorite.

I'm a big fan of floral teas and this Jasmine tea does not disappoint. The flavor is on the lighter side and it is a nice one to add to any other green tea for a little hint of floral taste.

*A little trick...I also use the dry leave mixed with some sea alt as a rub on salmon! Tastes great.

If you’re a fan of jasmine flavored tea this is a must purchase. Very enjoyable.

★★★★★

Another nice one -- not too overpowering, but definitely there.

★★★★★

Very good. We enjoyed it iced. I thought it was at least as good as david's tea, if not better, for a much better price

★★★★★

For the price this tea is excellent. A bit floral from the jasmine scent, a few petals even make it into each cup which I always find delightful. It has a somewhat smoky green flavor, a bit like wood ash and maybe even a bit of sod. This tea is earthy and just a bit floral. Very nice morning or evening time cup.

Much stronger than the Yin Hao! I prefer it to that one, actually. As much as I hate to say it, the difference in price is worth it?

★★★★☆

This is a great tea, I just love jasmine green tea. I do prefer the jasmine yin hao over this one, it has a stronger jasmine flavor. This one, I tend to steep too long to get more jasmine flavor, then it turns slightly bitter because I steeped it too long. But it is still a very good tea, better than the jasmine green tea at the grocery store. But I think it's worth it to try the slightly more expensive jasmine yin hao.

★★☆☆☆

I love green tea, but unfortunately this one was not for me. It has a very perfume-y smell, so when I drink it I feel like I'm drinking body spray.

I love Jasmine teas. I feel like this one has all the basic and essential elements of a jasmine green, and I ordered a sample so I'm being sparing with each cup. (I'm sure a strong cup tastes sublime.) Definitely worth the price.

I really liked this tea. Made an entire pot and finished it in only a few hours each time I brewed it! Light jasmine over a delicate white tea.

I like to mix this with other green teas to add a hint of Jasmine flavor. On its own, however, it is a bit basic and forgettable.

★★★★★

Enjoyed this tea with a definite Jasmine taste. The aroma is as lovely as the flavor and we enjoy this as an accompianment with our lunch.

A tasty Jasmine tea that brings me back to a brief visit to China. Such a good daily tea that makes a slow afternoon much easier.

★★★☆☆

A nice, solid jasmine. This is my everyday go-to cuppa. Has a really lovely, sweet perfume to it.

★★★★☆

The jasmine flavor is really delicious. It s not like the phoenix pearls, in-your-face jasmine. The green notes are there, and it s a slightly crisp cold-brew with a sharp after-finish. I like that this is still a poignant jasmine flavor, and it doesn t have the fruity notes jasmine pearls do, but this is a solidly good tea all around!

★★★★☆

I ordered this because I had a really good jasmine tea at a local Chinese eatery, and all she could tell me was it was jasmine--so I tried this one to see if I could find a similar taste. Years ago, I had a very bad jasmine tea, and have thus avoided it, but I m glad to be back! This tea was light and welcoming--the jasmine was not overwhelming but made itself known as well. I used a little sweetener to bring out the flavor. Will be ordering more of this one!

Very fragrant and light green tea that is very drinkable

★★★★★

Love this tea! I guess the best way to describe it is soft... so soft. I'll steep for 1 minute, but the best is the 2nd steep at 5 minutes.

★★★★☆

This is my afternoon tea when I need a lift. A friend recommended it say it was bong hit in a cup. I don't get that's jazzed, but I likie.

★★★★★

Light and very pleasant, with delicate jasmine flavor that does not overpower. A good beginner jasmine tea. I prefer something a little stronger, but would not turn my nose up at a good cup of this tea!

★★★★★

I have only used this in blends, which is what I got it for. It adds just the touch I was looking for and is the best choice of those I have tried.

I have to admit I like the Jasmine Pearl much better than this one.

★★★☆☆

I purchased this tea along with Jasmine Phoenix Pearls. The pearls are much better in my opinion. Smoother jasmine flavor and no need to use a strainer for the pearls because the large tea leaves settle to the bottom.

★★★★★

Great flavor, very aromatic and pleasant to brew. Not grassy at all, which helped me convert my wife to green tea.

★★★★★

Amazong green tea with floral flavor. One of my new favs

★★★★★

My go to jasmine. Perfect balance of Jasmine and green tea. I can't imagine wanting more out of a jasmine green than this.

Starting to love Jasmine teas. This is my third one. Very good.

★★★☆☆

A bit astringent with a light flavor.

I think I accidentally burned the leaves with this one, as it got bitter within the three minutes I steeped it for. So I'd recommend the 2 minutes if you want to try it.

I have been craving some jasmine tea for a while, but hadn't found any in stores that seemed like they would be good. I decided to give this variety a try in teabag form and I was not disappointed! If you love jasmine tea, this is a good one!

I like this green tea a lot. It has a wonderful jasmine flavor and if I don't steep it too long it isn't bitter.

I'm not big on green teas in general, but this one has been growing on me. I typically find that green teas don't offer a strong enough flavor for me to find them enjoyable, but this one is different. The jasmine adds just enough flavor for me to find this tea enticing and interesting. What's more the aroma is really nice as well. I've shared this one with my parents as well, who immediately asked me to order the 16oz bag for them, so it's definitely been a hit for us.

This is a very nice jasmine tea. Nice an floral. It has a mellow flavor that isn't too overpowering. I knocked one star off because it has a rather noticeable bitterness to it once it cools. But overall, this is very tasty and well worth four stars.

I've only had Jasmine tea a few times before, so I'm no expert, but this tea tasted great to me. I prefer it in the evenings with some honey.

★★★★★

This is a FANTASTIC jasmine tea! So light and flavorful and perky! I find that sometimes green teas are a little weak for my preference when brewed hot, but this one holds up wonderfully -- and also makes for a truly splendid addition to an iced tea concoction. Could this be my new favorite green tea? Quite possibly -- I guess I'll have to drink some more to figure it out for sure, oh darn!
