★★★★☆

A fun tea, not my favorite flavor. But it is interesting to watch this tea steep

As far as these funky green teas go, this one is fairly gentle and tasty.

I love the simplicity and depth to this tea. The snails are super convenient when trying to fill tea bags in a rush in the morning.

Doesn’t smell the best.
Don’t let it sit too long. It taste less pleasant. Overall decent tea

This definitely wasn t my favorite, but it was also not bad. It has a somewhat velvety texture and is a bit dry. There s a bitterness that lingers on the back of my tongue for a while that I m just not a fan of.

I liked this tea, and it's always fun to watch it unfurl!

★★★★☆

A good green tea. A very light coloured tea but very bold taste. Strong green grassiness with some smoke but not overpowering.

I don’t find this as flavorful as Gunpowder, Sencha Overture, or Kukicha - my green tea favorites. It’s not bad, but I don’t think I would order it again.

★★★★★

Great jade taste. A little goes a long way with this tea!

★★★★☆

Jade Snail has a very strong green tea flavor with earthy tones.

★★★★☆

Classic green tea. I drink this with afternoon sushi a couple times per week.

★★★★★

Very good green tea, nutty and not astringent at all. I gongfu most green teas though so I’m not sure what it is like on a normal 3 minute steep. I steep at 30 seconds with this, and it’s very good! I am sad my sample is almost done!

I'm not a fan of green tea (but weirdly, I like matcha), so take this review with a grain of salt. I tried brewing this tea twice. I love the fact that each leaf is hand-rolled and before steeping the scent is quite inviting - delicately floral with a hint of spearmint. Cup #1: 16 ozs - 2 tsps @175 x 3 mins - the liquor is an opaque mid-green, the scent is of faint seaweed, brothy, with no floral notes to it at all. It tastes quite harsh and bitter, almost soap-like. I simply couldn't drink it! Cup #2: 16 ozs - 1 tsp @175 x 2 mins - the pale green liquor now has almost no scent, but retains a hint of that floral amongst the mildly vegetal flavor, followed by a slightly sweet, steamed chestnut and a hint of tangy almost-lemon. Verdict: Better! I'll keep experimenting and we'll see.

This tea is different but likable a little grassy at first but mellows out. Odd color for a green tea. enjoyable but not my favorite.

★★★★★

Delicious and of high quality. For me it falls somewhere inbetween a white tea and green tea.

★★★★☆

Good strong green tea flavor. Can get bitter very fast so watch the time

★★★☆☆

Decent flavors but not my favorite. A bit too bitter, even when brewing at lesser time. I had to add honey to it to get rid of the intense bitterness.

I love this green tea. It is flavorful yet not overpowering. I have found the steeping to be a little sensitive, the window between too weak and over-steeped/bitter is small, but after a couple of cups you'll find what you like.

★★★★☆

Light and just a little floral. A more mild flavor than I prefer, but would mix well with lavender buds or rose hips to bring out the flowery tones.

★★★☆☆

Not bad, just forgettable. Kept forgetting if I’d tried it yet.

★★★★★

Love this stuff. I'm not a snobby green tea drinker, but I've grown tired of the fruity flavored ones because I don't really notice the tea flavor. For me, this tea offers a very drinkable brew that isn't super grassy, but yet you know you're drinking tea. I keep reordering.

I love this tea! It is not too 'sharp' and not too mild.

★★★★☆

Very grassy initially, a light nutty and floral flavour comes through in the end. The leaves are large and well rolled. A nice tea, probably won t buy again but will finish the bag!

Everything about this tea is amazing - add a little honey for a perfect afternoon pick-me-up.

★★★★★

Great tea. Use it by itself, since has a strong flavor, great for ice tea.

★★★★★

Classic Chinese green tea. Lovely chestnutty base, yet crisp and clean. Great for someone who's new to green teas.

I am not sure if i like this or not. It seems like no matter how long i brew it...it never really has a flavor...

★★★★★

I usually enjoy more fruity or blossom teas but this is great for when I'm wanting a more traditional taste.

★★★★☆

My husband's green to-go tea, tasty and yet not overpowering.

Usually green teas are light and grassy. This one is so rich in flavor with a fun grape taste behind (that surprised me at first). I totally enjoy it and steeped it two times.

Flavorless! If you want the benefits from green tea, but don t like the way it tastes, this is your tea! It s too boring and delicate for my personal taste

★★★★☆

I found this tea to be decent but not over the top great. This tea has a high astringency.

Nice, strong green tea. I used to drink gunpowder greens but this is just a superior quality tea and less smokey.

I only bought this tea as a sample because the bizarre name intrigued me. But I was really surprised; the flavor is bold for a green tea. Just a TINY bit of sweetener works for this unique tea. I happened to have some Meyer Lemons on hand. A small sliver, with a bit of stevia and I think I have found my new favorite.

★★★★☆

The smoky flavor makes this enjoyable for me as it takes away the 'greenness' of the tea (green teas are not my favorite).

★★★☆☆

This tea was not all that tastey. It was very dry and had a very faint 'nicotine' taste, if I can call it that. Won't be buying this one again.

Too smoky for a delicate green tea. I don’t notice the hop crispness or the grape finish. Just tastes like smoke to me

Bold green tea with strong flavor and smooth finish. Has a little more caffeine kick than most greens.

Very grassy smell and nice crisp taste. I took a gamble with buying the 16 oz before sampling it because of the high reviews, and found my new every day tea.

I love this tea! I even got a second cup out of it when I steeped it according to the directions! The second cup was just as flavorful as the first. Definitely recommend if you like a subtle green tea that stands on its own.

I love the way the leaves unfurl! I also love the name!

★★★★★

Has a great green tea taste, strong but not overpowering.

★★★★★

Jade snail is a nice, mellow green tea with great flavor.

★★★☆☆

This is not my favorite when it comes to green tea, it has that sort of 'gunpowder' style taste that reminds me of earth and very old dust, I cannot say that I am a fan, but all tea is good tea so it will get drank up.

★★★★☆

Very strong taste. Would recommend using less leaf than the package suggests

I tried this tea several times, at a few different temperatures, and I just can't get into it. There's a subtle campfire taste that makes me not like it (smokey teas tend not to be my style). It's ok, but easy to forget when I have a cupboard full of other options.

UPDATE: I played with the temperature and found I liked this a whole lot better when I steeped it hotter for a shorter amount of time. 190-195, and definitely under a minute, sometimes closer to 30-45 seconds.

Great green tea with lots of flavor and no bitterness!

★★★★★

My go to green tea. Woody, a touch smoky, always satisfying.

★★☆☆☆

I was not a fan of this tea. I was hopeful but it was too bitter for me

★★★★★

I was drawn to this tea because of its name and its looks. The fuzzy leaves rolled into spirals are precious, and unfurl during steeping. The hops description is apt.
