quite possibly my new favorite green tea. very balanced and it's fun to watch the leaves unfurl. perfect morning tea when I don't want too bold of a flavor.
The tightly rolled fuzzy buds unfurl to deliver intricate notes of roasted nuts, soft smokiness, and a hop-like crispness. Delicate yet bold.

quite possibly my new favorite green tea. very balanced and it's fun to watch the leaves unfurl. perfect morning tea when I don't want too bold of a flavor.
This is my absolute favorite. I brew this tea at lower temperature than recommended, but it still has great flavor.
Nice balance of all the things I enjoy in a green tea. Its not bitter, no fishy taste and the seaweed isn't there either. Nice an mellow for a relaxing cup of tea.
a light green tea, that packs more flavor than it appears to, sweetness... fruityness... some vegetal notes.
This tea has a nice mild, only slightly grassy green tea flavor. I don’t generally like plain green tea.
This has a very nice, clean green tea flavor. It's a lot of fun to watch the snails open up.
Lynn: First brew was grassy at the start transitioning to a soft hay finish. Second brew is similar, just a little sweeter. Leaves a nice aftertaste of summer. A good traditional green tea.
Andrea: I'm not much for green tea. I find the chlorophyll too fishy in most. This one also started strongly green, but finished with a nice nuttiness. Not to my taste, but I can appreciate the complexity.
1st: 3 mins @ 180°F
2nd: 2.5 mins @ 180°F
This tea was just okay for me - as greens usually are. I found it to have a light, sweetly vegetal taste.
Very delicious, delicate flavor and not at all grassy. Green tea trifecta! Plus, my portion made a small pitcher of tea, it stands up to multiple steepings!
A light and mellow green tea, not too grassy or vegetal.
This green won't be making a reorder list for me, but it was a pretty decent tea to enjoy in the CT. It starts out pretty grassy and vegetal, but that tapers off a bit as it cools. It does have a bit of a mineral note as well that appears more in the dry grape finish. 180° 3 min
It's a nice light tea with a floral taste, but not overwhelming. The aftertaste is a little bitter, though that mellowed as it cooled. Would be nice with a snack.
Brewed at 170 for 4 minutes.
Jade snail is a lovely light green tea that has a slight almondy smell and has a some brisk smokey notes too! The aftertaste was smooth! Pleasant and mild!
Our normal four reviewers did not care for this tea. However, we brought in a fifth reviewer today who likes jasmine teas and he liked this one.
Love this yea! Perfect for days when something subtle yet complex is what’s needed.
Not standing out from the pack of other green teas I've tried. But also a pleasant enough cup, so worth the sample at least.
'Zip bong vippity woop dong shap plap kimminy ploop. plop plip zowwy hummunuh beep bop zoooooooooooo!!!'
That's not a shameless grab at characters to qualify a review, those are the exact sounds my mouth made when I sipped this tea!
I am generally not a fan of green teas. Jade Snail is a nice, smooth, not-particularly-grassy, tasting green. The leaves unfurl beautifully and brew into a soothing golden colored tea.
I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed this one before. This is one of the few green teas I switch back and forth too. Great option for those who don’t want to throw down for the Phoenix pearls. Definitely a delicious green tea.
Bold flavored tea, not bitter, beautiful watching the leaves unfurl and seeing how big they really are.
Very nice mid-range flavor green tea. Great for a quiet afternoon. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new green tea.
This was a nice green tea. Slightly smokey, a bit sweet, with almost no astringency. It's a great everyday green, and is also really good blended with other teas.
I drank my entire purchase of this tea within only a few days because it is so good. It's a very soft and gentle flavor, but at the same time, I found it to be very strongly green. The description says that it is nutty, but I found it to be mostly sweet undertones on the second steeping.
This one smells like a traditional green tea while dry but has a tendency to get rather bitter once brewed. I’d cut down on the steep time by one minute next time. I’m on the fence as to whether or not I’d get this one again.
180* for 3 minutes
Very good. Liked it far more than I usually like green teas
Beautiful color. For a green tea it had a nice flavor, not too grassy. I just prefer the more robust flavor of other teas.
This is a light and flavorful green tea. It isn't grassy or vegetal. I brewed this gongfu style at 165F.
This is an elevated green tea. The smell is floral and sweet, and the taste is grassy with a sweeter aftertaste. A delightful tea to try, and I'm excited to try a second steeping.
CommuniTEA sample: 2 min @ 180 F, This is a grassy green tea, but I like grassy green teas. And if you don't mind grassiness, it has a lovely fruity sweetness. It tastes to me like fresh grapes, not like dried fruit that's a little bit harder to discern, but like fresh grapes. It's sweet, has some floral and honey notes to it, and a little bit of bitterness, but I really appreciate that. I got successive infusions at 2.5 minutes and 3 minutes, and both of them still tasted delicious.
So good! Love how potent of a green tea this is. If you like the taste of green tea (sort of that matcha taste) you’ll love this!!! A classic.
Not much to add except the dry leaves have an aroma that reminds me of lightly toasted seaweed. There's nothing bad about this tea but also nothing interesting either. If you want a tea that actually has hints of grape flavor try Wenshan Mist Green.
Beautiful green tea. Bold flavor, not grassy. Beautifully shaped and fun to watch the snails uncurl!
De apariencia vistosa cuando se desenrolla, se obtiene un perfil de nuez tostada con una astringencia leve de uva verde.
Again with the hundred letter or space whatever text message for this review on this T website where I buy tea this is T that I am reviewing and it is Jade Snell. It is green tea who doesn’t love green tea it’s Jade Snell. I don’t know what green smell is but that’s cool and fine too as long as it’s 100 letters I don’t know the minutes or the Fahrenheit honestly, I just put some numbers in there and hope for the best honestly. Keep going and going and going with this hundred letter review kind of wild.
I’m learning more and more that I’m not a huge green tea fan! So, I feel like my review should be viewed through that lense. I’m sure someone who enjoys green teas might enjoy this one. Of the green teas I DO enjoy, this one didn’t quite make the cut. I’m more of a gunpowder green tea fan.
Classic green tea flavor. One of my favorites that I’ve bought a number of times
It's a green tea in a fun snail shape! What's not to love! The flavor is also a very pleasant standard green tea.
I am still fairly new to exploring the differences in teas; picking the differences between green, white, and more delicate teas apart is particularly intimidating. After many bagged ones, I was beginning to doubt there was ever much of a difference and thought it must all be marketing.
My faith is restored! This is delicious and tastes totally different than the (also lovely) jasmine green I've been enjoying from another tea company, and not simply due to the absence of the jasmine flavoring. I was afraid I would think this one tasted like nothing after getting used to the strong floral flavor. It's just slightly astringent, not bitter at all; it's quite sweet for something that hasn't been sweetened at all. It's full bodied and has maybe a slight vegetle and mineral tastes. But read other reviews, I don't know much about describing flavors.
2nd steeping is a little less sweet, a little more astringent, but not half bad!
Jade Snail is a green tea that combines delicacy and boldness. This tea is made from tightly rolled fuzzy buds that resemble spiral shells or the scroll of a violin. The leaves unfurl to release a complex aroma and flavor that will surprise and delight you. The first sip reveals a roasted nuttiness, followed by a soft smokiness and a hop-like crispness. The aftertaste is dry and fruity, reminiscent of white grapes. This tea is intriguingly balanced and satisfying.
Absolutely wonderful. My tea of choice in the evening. The key to a great cup of this tea is to follow the temperature guideline, but I am personally drawn to steeping for a longer time than instructed.
Delicious green tea that's a bit earthier and getting closer to an oolong, which is nothing but a positive to me.
A beautiful tea from the cute dried curls through the brewing process. The aroma is mostly vegetable with just hints of citrus and earthiness. The light color and delicate aroma give impression you're in for a delicate tea, but that is not the case. This has a rich malty note that combines with roast vegetable flavor to give a rich base to this tea. Some earthy and citrus notes reminiscent of noble hops give complexity and lightness. The overall combination is something that is somehow both very rich and very delicate. Second and third steeps lean more to the rich flavors and the third steep needs to be hotter and longer IMHO. While not something I'd drink everyday, this is something to keep around for time I was a cup to relax with and savor.
I'm not partial to green teas, and this one was the same - just not for me. It was vegetal and grassy. The shape of it, and watching it unfurl, was wonderful, though.
I was surprised that for a green tea it was not grassy at all. I steeped twice: 165 F x 2-3 min.
A very yummy green tea, loved watching the cute little snails unfurl.
this was nice; light and refreshing, with a nutty aftertaste. I liked it
CT 7/13/2023 - green teas are not my favorite but this one was surprisingly decent. It didn’t have a real grassy taste and was fairly mild. Ended up being a pleasant cup.
This Jade Snail is absolutely divine! An aesthetically pleasing tea! I so enjoyed watching the jade bud unfurlment. First hot sip could be a lil grassy...but as it cools, it comes with a very crisp dryness. After more cooling-- a hint of grape 🍇 wine-esque vibe. This will be a staple in my tea cabinet! I brewed this at 175° for 3 mins.
The tea did not have much flavor. It was not bad but not a big hit.
I enjoy watching the snail turn into big leaves of tea. This is light green tea, put Little Rock sugar in it, nice tea.
