This is a very delicious tea! I loved the flavor and the aroma.
I do not think I qualify as very 'experienced' tea drinker, but it is a passion of mine, I love tea and I am just starting to explore the world of higher quality loose leaf tea. Having said that, this Hunan gold is one of the best teas I have tasted so far in my tea drinking journey. A beginner who enjoys green teas and white teas would surely love this and it is also a good introduction into darjeeling teas. A truly spectacular tea.

Very light, and super smooth, also a bit fruity. Delicious. Apparently this is similar to Darjeeling teas which means I may have to try some.

Really like this one. The grower partially ferments the leaves, which removes a lot of the grassy flavor you get with greens. Been drinking a lot of this lately and the flavor has really grown on me.
Wow. The fragrance of this reminds me of a fujian black tea, very sweet and fruity. I'm not sure why some said it was too much, it's the perfect amount in my opinion. Don't think about this anymore. Buy it!
Its light, sweet, fragrant, almost flowery. These attributes can be perfect in a tea, but the can also be overwhelming. I have had four cups, brewed differently each time, and I am still wondering if I like it or if it is too much. It borderlines greatness and yet rides the line of distaste. I gave it a 'great' as I am intrigued by its audacity to take risks.

Much more complex than regular green teas. Seemingly closer to a white tea with a floral/fruity aspect.
A delicate, delicious, refreshing, complex, affordable yellow tea. Very tippy, but with some leaves as well. Tastes similar to a Yin Zhen white tea in its sweet and subtle buddiness. Complimenting this is the muscatel notes of a Darjeeling. I thought I tasted something malty at one point as well, like a black Assam, but I'm probably just tasting things. You can just barely taste a green tea flavor on the aftertaste, perhaps mixed with a lightly oxidized oolong. Floral and fragrant, I cannot gush more about this tea.
Incredibly mellow, this first foray into yellow tea. Beautiful golden liquor, naturally light, sweet, and smooth. The twisted leaves still weren't fully open upon a pleasant 2nd steep. Lingering light astringency, with subtle notes of sweet corn, muscat, and something floral.
I had a difficult time believing that this was a green or fermented tea upon tasting my first sip. The flavor seems reminiscent of a milder Darjeeling with a prominent, natural sweetness. This is presently one of my favorite Adagio varieties.

I just made this tea and I used 2 grams with 180 degree water steeped for 2 minutes. A very light, interesting tea. Tastes like a mix between a vegetal green tea and a Chinese white tea. Slight astringency. Flavor is dry with slightly bitter floral aftertaste. Very interested in how the 2nd and 3rd infusions will taste. Going to steep next time at 175 degrees or lower to hopefully remove the minor bitterness/astringency in this tea. It's a good tea, but not great, in my newbie opinion.

This tea is great period. Especially if you like fruit. The color clearly gives away it's name. It's like drinking gold, so far my favorite by far. Still got a bunch to try though.
Very light and delicate, with a subtle sweetness. There is a bit of a green tea taste to it, but also floral. Winner!
Immediately upon opening the bag, an amazing sweet smell envelops your nose. The scent is reminiscent of silver needle and a high quality green. The taste is also that of a white tea, with a delicate floral body, and slightly dry finish. This tea is very sweet, so almost no sweetener is needed. Gentle astringency and a complex finish makes this tea one of my all time favorites. In fact, I may have found a replacement for the out of stock white symphony!
In the bag the scent is very sweet. Once it the cup, that sweetness is more subtle, but still there. The flavor is light and refreshing, with a nice, sweet finish.
This is VERY good. However... it is a very light tea and some may prefer a tea with a more robust flavor. If you light mellow teas, this one is for you! It is very soft and smooth and almost whimsical. It has a dreamy sweet and floral finish that is reminiscent of a calm spring day. I like this by itself or with a very small amount of honey. Leaves me singing, 'She calls me mellow yellow.' :)
